I can't commit to a specific time, but I'll be around on Tuesday hoping to get in on a Kahn or Barracuda so I can slot my second rare on my main.

Me too. "Hurl" with the Shield on the other arm is awesome looking. Just rips up a hunk of rock with one hand and flings it. Looks cool.
-
I would like to see the named characters at least be bosses then. It is a joke when you have bosses enabled and the subject of the "defeat this guy" mission spawns as a Lt.

No. I haven't noticed any pseudo-fury going on. What I've noticed is that when held, stunned, etc. the first couple of attacks being able to fire really don't help me survive the same way that the old Defiance did with a damage boost.
Oh well. Sign or dissign. -
I suggest that the new defiance be replaced with the old defiance where damage output is scaled up as the health bar goes down.
Although I think it's kind of cool to be able to fire of a couple of attacks with my blasters while being held, stunned, etc., I still really miss the old days when my health bar is down towards the bottom (as is often the case when I'm playing my blasters) and I used to start doing mega damage to save my skin. It was a great equalizer.
I think that the whole inherent power, "Defiance" is better defined by doing more damage as the health goes down to survive and defy death. -

I find little challenge in beating blue minions on TFs set to the lowest level. I'd love something to motivate players into playing in a more challenging way. -
I'm with another Black Helicopter Line point somewhere on the North Side of the map. Great idea.
Also, for IP, maybe there could be another smuggler's line point at the bottom of the map if not another train stop. -
Due to restraints on my time I'm often unable to do any TFs. I'm very unhappy about this looking like it's the only way to get my 50's on par with everyone else's. The upside is that everyone will be doing those TF's so hopefully when I do get a little time to play, I'll be able to run those TF's. I'm still unhappy though, the majority of the shards that I get with my 50s is when doing solo or just normal 50 missions.

In one of the alignment missions I was fighting Malestrom and he did an Eagle's Claw kick to my head. That led me to believe that there must be one in the works.

Quote:I've made and leveled exactly one tank, and one scrapper to 50. I've been playing both those with plans for more tanks and scrappers since they made the changes to brutes. And this is funny because prior to GR coming out, I was never planning on making either tanks or scrappers again since I was going to be able to take a brute blueside. Tanks and scrappers were always blue substitute brutes to me.I've lost my appeal for Brutes since the damage cap and fury changes. It's the visual thing with the gauge never going to full that bugs me, but I also like bigger orange numbers. Since then I've rolled 4 Scrappers, and to me other than damage output, Tankers have everything the Brute has but better. These days, if I wanted to make a melee character there's no hesitation. Scrapper.

Quote:I had written a whole paragraph about the events of JLA/Avengers kind of continuing on Busick's run on JLA later, but then I remembered all the Crisis' since and figured that even though it was acknowledged in the normal DCU, it wouldn't be anymore. But then came the JLA/Avengers, which had the two worlds meeting for the FIRST TIME. This is a big deal in the story, and the differences between the MU and DCU are important to understand why that mini-series was even written. My favorite bit was when Hawkeye saw the JLA for the first time and assumed they were a watered-down copy of the Squadron Supreme. To my knowledge this story has only been acknowledged by DC once (JLA: EARTH II), and never by Marvel (except maybe in one of their Handbooks).
With the case of DC, they had that whole FINAL CRISIS or INFINITE CRISIS or whichever showed that Superman (I) and Superboy were causing changes in reality all the time, so the fact that a crossover that WAS in continuity is no longer in continuity... is actually in keeping with continuity. I kinda hate the last 5 years of DC comics. -
I'm doing a fire/electric as well. I have a 50 fire/energy blaster that's cool, but I think that the AoE effect of Thunder Strike as well as Power Sink might fill in the holes in the other blaster build. I recently respecced into the flame mastery for the concept, but electric mastery would give you another AoE attack.

Quote:I like it.Not really all that bad I don't think.
I'm still a little dubious about the film, but the outfit itself isn't really that bad. -
I was glad when Marvel got rid of the CCA and I liked it when they adopted ratings like some TV shows and Movies do. They had PGV (Parental Guidance for Violence) as well as others. I'd suggest that both companies go back to something like that.

I've been watching the first season sporadically and plan on catching up at some point. I really like it and was sad to hear the rumors awhile back about it's cancellation.

Quote:I would just count it as separate universes where the characters coexist and team up occasionally. Like all Batman has to do to team up with Daredevil is drive up to New York and Superman can fly up to Chicago to team up with Savage Dragon.Yesterday during a lunch break, I read through some of the many comics I have stored on my portable HDD, more specifically, crossovers. With crossovers like JLA/Avengers, it is usually shown how the two teams meet, such as dimension hopping, portals, an accident, et al.
Browsing through other crossovers, however, seems to be different. Using Batman/Grendel for an example, Grendel is from Dark Horse, and usually operates in New York. In this crossover, it seems that it is just another part of the multiverse, as Batman states to have heard of Grendel. Spider-Man/Batman also has Batman state that he was aware of the entire Maximum Carnage event.
There are many other examples, but I won't list them. Like I stated earlier, some crossovers do a good job of mentioning why they are occurring. Other vaguely, if at all, mention as to why, which causes me to believe that some are parts of the multiverse, where characters from different realities are able to co-exist.
Is this the case, or am I looking too hard into it? -
Quote:Anne Hathaway is a much better choice than the one in that fan cast; Kiera Knightly doesn't have the lung capacity to fill out a Catwoman suit properly. When I first read that, I thought 'Tom Hardy? That scrawny little bloke from Star Trek: Nemesis? As Bane? Naaaaah!' Then I saw this. Incidentally, this pre-empts the announcement by about a month.
As for Hathaway as Catwoman ...Meeeow! -
I'm sure someone said it, but I'm too lazy to read the whole thread: "Kick-***"

I'll say that Lazenby is the worst Bond. That movie just sucked and he was annoying. Connery is the best.
-
The Bond I saw most when growing up was Roger Moore. For some reason his Bond films were always on TV at the time.
-
I'm a fan of the kind-of-campy take the Pierce Bronsan had on the character but they just went waaaay overboard with all the gadgets and stuff. That's one of my reasons for liking the newer films with Craig; less gadgets.
-
I'm a fan of Craig as Bond. They have had a subplot going with the previous two films with Bond wanting revenge on the mysterious organization that has agents everywhere. I'd like to see more of that, and more of Craig's Bond, growing into the James Bond that we enjoyed from Connery.

Nice cave. Mine features a larger desk/workstation and some ugly metal shelving that hold my comic boxes. I hope to one day have bookshelves and a nice couch or futon and have it appear as more than just my junk room. It doesn't help that I'm a slob and my clothes are all over the place.

I'm just waiting; building up shards and components. I won't believe anything about the next level of the alpha enhancements until I see it in-game.
