Quote:No, not really. I actually haven't even logged into the game today and when I do, I'm not sure if I really want to take the time to wait around for someone to finally respond to a petition.
My lack of involvement in the thread today can probably be read more as a lack of desire to interact with the ones who label any complaint, no matter how reasonable or how unreasonable, as whining or being a drama queen.
There are better things to do with my time than that.
Apparantly you don't have better things to do because you came back to defend yourself and try to imply that you haven't been whining and being a drama queen. Even this latest response about why you don't want to file a petition is whiny, petulant, and overly dramatic. -

Ther's a huge difference betwen hoping and expecting. I hope all our brothers and sisters in the middle east will come home safe and sound. I expect a lot more blood will spill before the end arrives.

Quote:I would love to see this! I also believe this would be a great idea for an influence sink and not to introduce another currency and no prestige is not an influence sink. It used to be an influence sink when you wouldn't get any influence in SG mode but not anymore...
Yes prestige still is an influence sink. People are still using the registrar to convert inf to prestige for their bases. We even have generous souls that frequently use that feature to help other players boost their SG's prestige.
Fulmens has done this several times giving away billions of inf, matching what players convert so they end up with double the prestige. He is currently giving away another billion, 100 million at a time in order to spread awareness for the RealWorldHero.com charity.
Just because you don't use prestige as an influence sink doesn't mean the rest of us don't. -
This isn't Cryptic so our devs don't have to dangle pre-order doodads to entice us to buy a shoddy product. Sure they'd be nice but I'd rather see everyone get them not just the pre-order gang. Let's hope they keep any goodies with the purchase of the live version.

Quote:Probably the most you could get for them in Inf is a couple million. Almost not worth the effort in my opinion. Maybe consider giving them to newbies interested in starting a VG as a starter base?
That's one of the ideas I've been kicking around. I'm not deluding myself as to their value. The only thing I'd consider even remotely valuable is the RWZ beacon and how hard is that to get. It just takes a mothership raid. -
I'm not bashing anyone that likes to solo TF/SF's. I just happen to like the idea that some content requires teams. If they were to add more team oriented content I wouldn't object to changing the TF requirements to allow people to solo them.
Replace the old TF's with new stuff that really does require team efforts. -
A couple years ago back when they made 8x8 plots rent free I made a couple of teleport bases for my main VG. The bases aren't big, both consisting of an oversight center, and a teleport chamber. Each with two arcane teleporters and 4 beacons. The rooms in the abses are modestly decorated. One SG has all the beacons unlocked while the other is only missing the RWZ beacon.
Since the SG's were built as solo's they never aquired much prestige. If each SG had 15 members they's only have just over 100k prestige in one and just over 185k in the other.
My main VG has finally gotten to the point where I don't need these teleport bases anymore and I'm thinking of selling them. I just don't know what I should ask for them.
I'd appreciate some advice. Keep in mind I haven't decided if I'm going to actually sell them. I may decide to offer them to any interested party on my servers radio station channel. -
Oh I wish I could participate but I can't in good conscience. Everyone I know is members of The Cape and they are already advertising RealWorldHero.

I'm with Lothic on this one. AT is unimportant. Any crossovers will be for RP reasons. My very first villain was disavowed and this will finally be his chance to return and take his rightful place as a hero. He will be bringing some friends with him. People he learned to trust when the whole world was out to get him. People that know they can trust him.

This probably won't make the OP feel better but I have two accounts that have met the loyalty requirements (That's two beta invites) and I decided to cancel the sub on one of them because I had to make financial adjustments to cover my heating oil bill this month. I'll just have to settle for playing in the beta on only one account. *sigh*

Blank signed checks was the most popular gift sent to the devs last year. Just leave it to them to fill out the amount.

I'm hoping that this feature will be included with Going Rogue along with a merged market, a global bank, and cross faction SG bases.

Quote:YAY! Thanks!

(*squees with delight and runs into a darkened corner of this thread to nom her catnip cookies*)
Now, if only the matter of purchaseable Veteran's Rewards was so easily negotiable!
To be honest the only thing that has me dragging my heels kicking and screaming is the time factor. I could care less about the money. If someone can come up with a compromise that addresses the issue about the length of time accounts are active that I can agree to, then I'll withdraw my objections.
Edit: And what the hell is it about happy cats, or even the idea of happy catgirl/catpeople that makes me happy? I seriously need to get an IV drip of some Bah Humbug stat.

Quote:an acceptable compromise, a token system is how i usually put it. have costume tokens happen at a certain level, a power token at another. maybe someone really wants samurai armor but dosent give a hang about trenchcoats, no argument with me. plus, this would free up the ability to add more costume pieces to the vet rewards without putting them in the realm of "are you kidding me" for newer players.
I only see one problem with using a token system, and that is what happens after a customer selects all the rewards he likes and now has nothing to look forward but crap he doesn't care about. Then we'll get nothing but a bunch of posts with whining, *****ing, and moaning that they have nothing to look forward too because everything left sucks.
At least this way if I don't like the Base Reward perks, the Greek letters, and the stupid non-buff pet, I can still look forward to and eagerly anticipate, the Wings, the Nemi Staff, and the additional storage slots. -

Quote:So, just because the intend of this is to get some answers I´m writting this both in English and Portuguese. Not accurate translation from one language to the other, but the same "general subject", just so you guys know. And not even sure if placing it on the right place...
Here it is, I have a problem... I live in Brazil and love playing this game, but due the lack of interest (that´s the best way I can describe it) of the company that sells the game here I can not buy neither the Science Booster and Ninja Booster, simply because they don´t seel them. The thing is that they have an exclusive contract with NCSOFT and there´s no way I can buy them either from it because they block off my IP adress. So, I´m here for 2 things... Does anyone knows a way I can buy them in other place (or other way)? And the second is asking out Brazilian Player to join me on the complains directly to Level Up Games (the troublesome company) and ask them to sell us what we want! Come on, I just want the oportunity to BUY it!
Trailtester, You have my deepest sympathies, and I hope the info provided to you by others helps you resolve your problem. It really sucks to be "punished" for something that you have nothing to do with. Best of luck getting things fixed with Level Up. I hope your efforts get their act together. -
Quote:Exactly. The anti-farming rhetoric was started by the people abusing the exploits. They hoped that fearmongering would get the farming population up in arms so they could hide amongst the crowd.Fixed. Devs never cared about regular farming. They did however care about people going from level 1 to 50 in a couple hours, with zero risk.
Only it didn't work. Farmers turned out to be far more intelligent than the exploiters gave them credit for. In fact the farmers got offended that the exploiters assumed they were idiots and sided with the devs. -

You can say that again. I just got 4 Luck Charms while soloing the Atlas Park safeguard mission.
And epic failure on the OP for trying to compare a common low level piece of salvage to a level 50 ultra rare recipe.
One of these things is not like the other. One of these things just doesn't belong . . . -
I haven't been bothered by it at all. If it comes up during a hunt mission I simply do one of the other two missions I have open in mission slots. I have three missions to choose from, and I reserve one of those slots for radio/safeguard - newspaper/mayhem missions and none of those are ever hunt missions. Then as soon as the event is over I wrap up the hunt mission. Sometimes I even jump in the AE and run something there.
The only people who are justified in being irritated by these zone events are the ones doing TF's. But even then the application of a little rational common sense would resolve that by simply using the time to call a brief break and let people run to the bathroom, grab a beverage or bite to eat, drop stuff off into storage, restock inspirations from bases/Arena, etc. -
