Cross faction item exchanges in Co-Op zones?

Is there a way that we could exchange items from Heroes to Villains and vice-versa?

I would think that cooperative zones, by their very nature, allow interaction between the two disparate factions, so this would seem to be both plausible and logical.

I hope this is a viable idea and we'll see it enacted sooner than Soon(tm) -- especially with "Going Rogue" just over the horizon!

I'm hoping that this feature will be included with Going Rogue along with a merged market, a global bank, and cross faction SG bases.

I'm pretty sure cross-faction item exchange has been confirmed for GR.

I doubt this is going to happen: The crux of the issue seems to be: If they allow inspiration trading; they also allow enhancement, recipe, salvage, and influence/infamy trading.

Since they went out of the way to emphasize that, in GR, rogues can't use Wentworths and Vigilantes can't use the black market, I doubt there'll be any change to the item share codes to make sure the markets stay 100% separate.

I'd still love to be able to 'pass a wakie' to an unconscious hero, however.

As I recall, they're enabling inspiration trading in co-op zones in the future, but otherwise keeping everything else locked down. If you want to try and take items over to the other side, you have to go through the entire side-switching process, which I assume is relatively long in order to prevent abuse.

And they've already confirmed no merged market in GR.

the other stuff might be nice, but Insps are the main area of importance here. with co-op being encouraged it seems silly that theres this huge obstacle in our way. don't think i've been on a co-op ITF or LGTF where there hasn't been a time someone's asked for something that someone from the other faction has had and been unable to give.

It's ironic that my heroine has items which her villainous sister cannot have access to. I've got enhancers, for instance, which she is just becoming seasoned enough to use!

I'm not sure why there is not currently a way for heroines and villainesses to trade items, at least in cooperative zones like Cimerora, Midnighter Club, Pocket D, and Rikti War Zone.

Would someone please explain it to me? Please use small words, as I am a college graduate with a degree in English. RAWR!

A merged market has been explicitly nixed for Going Rogue. Heroes and Vigilantes can only use WW. Villains and Rogues can only use Black Market. No idea on Praetorians.

I just saw a pig fly. You've got a better chance of getting blood from a rock then getting any of that implemented by the developers. I can't count the number of times this has been asked for. I would bet my first born child none of this will come with GR. One can hope though....

Ther's a huge difference betwen hoping and expecting. I hope all our brothers and sisters in the middle east will come home safe and sound. I expect a lot more blood will spill before the end arrives.

Price difference between markets. Redside is generally cheaper; blueside has more inf. If blueside can get IOs at Redside prices, Redside won't have any IOs at all and blueside will still have more Inf. That's why you can't trade IOs / Inf from one side to the other.

If they merged the markets, they could eliminate that discrepancy.

Grant you, blue-side will always have more inf. because more people play blue-side. But a merged market would equalize the inf. distribution, as well as the swag distribution.

Thanks for explaining this to me, PoptartsNinja. I certainly wouldn't want to be the cause of the downfall of Western civilization (although my villainous sister probably would like to be! )

I think the devs fear that because blueside has more inf that they will be buying up all the stuff and setting prices higher than redside can afford.

The question is how long would it take for the influence to balance out between sides. Redside doesn't have the population to compete with the blueside market. So blue will be dominating the supply of items and setting the prices based on their vaster wealth.

they could get around that by letting villains steal things.

I think Praetorians have to pick a side (at least tentatively - Vigilante or Rogue) before visiting our dimension.

The funny thing is that there are a lot of items which Villains consistently pay more for than the Heroes do.
