Quote:Same problem here.
I'm level 5 now, where do I find Marchand?
Also, as I've said elsewhere, somehow I got killed in the tutorial, which looked to be a glitch. Full health to zero in a couple seconds.
This tossed me to the hospital in NP, leaving a mission in P5 I can't get back to complete or cancel, and AFAICT cost me my first chance to pick a faction defaulting me to Loyalist. Dev's/GM's havd been pretty silent on this so far. ;(
Not trying to sound harsh but why didn't you just reroll the character when that tutorial glitch happened? Sure file a bug report but just start over. Since they gave us the save costume feature a while back you don't even have to try to remember what your costume looked like. Just reselect the powers, load the saved costume, and restart the tutorial. -
So it occurs to you to check with your bank but after instead of contacting NCSoft billing/customer service you think some players will be able to resolve your credit card issue?
Try this. Hope your problem is solved quickly.

I love all this whining about solo missions after people spent years whining for the ability to solo TF's.
Just goes to show that some people aren't happy unless they have something to complain about. -
Quote:Pointing things like that out defeats the whole argument that soloing morality missions is too hard. They really can't claim it's difficult to complete a mission where all the enemies con grey, green, or blue.To be fair. How on earth do you manage to not outlevel a zone in praetoria before reaching a morality mission when grouped?
The last group I was in we had so many mobs per mission we could barely finish an arc or two without shooting right past a zone unless we turned off exp on the leader.

Quote:Shenanigans!Until you run it on your empath/* with pitiful damage. You cant heal your way outa this one!
I've run my Emps on higher difficulty settings in the old content while soloing without needing any assistance and they were a lot harder than the stuff in Praetoria.
Edit: Emps have always required more strategy than simply rockin da healz. -
Quote:Has anyone gotten the email with their preorder goodie code? I know the people who preordered in-store got their codes on their receipts. It has been 2 days since launch and none of the people I have spoken to who preordered online has gotten their codes yet despite having received their copies of GR CC. So I called Gamestop customer support and the rep said that NCSoft has been late in providing them with the codes. I'm not buying the story though because he also claimed that a batch of emails with goodie codes has been sent out last evening and that another batch should be going out before the end of business today. And that's why I'm asking to see if anyone has gotten such an email yet. Though it's not the end of the world that my new GR characters don't get those enhancements, it does strike me as just bad business on GS's part that they were not able to deliver the codes in a timely manner.
The fact that GR was switched on a day early and that frespecs are being handed out today makes this delay that much more of a negative experience. I believe my expectation of having the extras, that are associated with the preorder, available on launch day to be a reasonable one. Any insight or input regarding this manner would be appreciated.
This delay is standard procedure for Gamestop. They do it with all of their online purchases. I have gotten different products thru them and this was the same thing that happened each time.
Their Customer Service doesn't know squat. GS contracts CS out to a third party company and they only have a pre-written responses from GS to explain why there's a delay, and I've gotten the same excuses verbatim each time I was supposed to get a pre-order code emailed to me.
They simply don't care. They even try to word their online sales in a way that they don't have to give you anything they promised. They use terms like limited supplies even tho they are printing the codes on the reciepts for in-store customers. -
Quote:This. So, you're angry about missions that you must complete solo.
Now you know how solo players feel about missions that have simultaneous glowie clicks, that you MUST team to complete.
I'm kind of happy that there's finally some parity there. For years there were missions that absolutely REQUIRED a team to complete, now there are missions that absolutely REQUIRE you to be solo.
Fair's fair.
Except that unlike forced team missions, everyone can do a forced solo mission. -
Quote:No no no no no! Have you not read the Doom threads? Have the "Merge the server" posts fallen on deaf ears? The delusions are incontrovertible. The only people who pay a subscription to play an MMO are the ones who are online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If they aren't online waiting to invite you to a team whenever you start to play then they aren't subscribers. Furthermore anyone online who isn't constantly sending you team invites is an anti-social jerk who shouldn't be playing MMO's in the first place. It's been said before, but bears repeating. THere is a difference between a server that is full of people, and a game full of subscribers.

Quote:Prove he's done it ^.^
That's the thing, he could be held for breaking and entering, but there is no proof that he has done it. Likewise there is no proof that he has "tortured" people. There is only proof that he has detained people, which is perfectly legal to do.
The only thing keeping Batman out of jail is the fact that you can't convene a jury that believes Gotham would be safer with him behind bars. It wouldn't matter how airtight the case was, the jury wouldn't convict because they know in their hearts that they are safer with him out on the streets doing everything the cops can't do. -
Quote:Some people will try to reduce it to a choice between blue or gold, but it isn't always that simple. Sometimes the blue choice is the morally wrong selection. Sometimes the good guys hands aren't clean.Calvin mentions that you might have to do some "questionable things" in order to maintain your cover. The hope is that, despite the sacrifices and having to "defeat" other Resistance members, eventually you'll be elevated in the ranks to a place where you can do the most damage at the right time.
It's not an easy path - some may even call it morally reprehensible. But Praetoria is filled with these sorts of situations. -
Quote:Yeah, the falling back doesn't bother me as much. But I've always been a little daft.I'm with Z. I love Praetoria, the morality missions, the mobs, the new powersets, the GORGEOUS visuals. But the end problems are a little frustrating, especially as Ghouls have such a long aggro range that you usually end up fighting 2 groups at once. I've been forced to run for it more now than I ever have before...

Quote:I enjoy Praetoria, I mostly enjoy soloing, and I love the content and choices. The stated points were just things that rankled me a little, or were more noticeable on my other characters (Got 8 in Praetoria so far at various levels).
There's a fine line between challenge though ("THE GHOULS ARE COMING" AAAAAH! *Desperate Fight*) and boring. (*waits around for HP/End/Rest to recharge*)
I hope what I said didn't imply that I was being dismissive of your points. While I may not mind recharge my hp/end because I consider it a small price to pay for not getting killed in the last fight, I can easily understand how another person will find it an annoying pain in the butt. -
-
Yeah those are morality missions where you alone are making a choice on whether or not that character will do a good or evil act.
-
Looks like I'm going to be in the minority on this but I enjoy soloing in Praetoria. To me the content was challenging but not insurmountable. I have felt this was a nice change from the rest of the game where the devs made everything far too easy and as a result boring.
I do however respect the opinions of those who aren't pleased, and I hope you don't give up on this. -
Quote:Ah, but disagreement is much different than baiting--which is what you said the first time!

"Alien"
Do we really need to nitpick over the choice of words we use? If poster A has a hunch of what type of response he will get if he disagrees with another persons post and he does it anyway, that's baiting them.
We all know how heated some topics get if we participate. There's nothing wrong with participating as long as we don't cross the line and break forum rules. It's a form of forum pvp where hot topics like merging servers are concerned. The trick is not to let the other guy get you mad. Just laugh it all off.
I look at it this way. You and I may be diametrically opposed on one topic and in another thread I may be your staunchest supporter.

Quote:When did Power get an EU account? How about adding a giant Rikti Monkey (with footstomp etc.) as a Great Monster to the RWZ? When he dies he could leave an enormous cloud of ape gas which deals something like 250 dps. toxic dmg and causes this vomit effect like tear gas.
We could call him Bananus The Mighty and I think this would be realy cool! -

Posting a pic of the server status or disagreeing with what doomies say and watching them froth at the mouth isn't a violation of any rules it is just fun!
-
Yes. It's set up so that you can't buy a transfer until you use the free tokens. They have a counter on the bottom of the screen where you decide which server you want to transfer to. Once the counter hits zero the next transfer costs money.
You can back out of that screen without making any transfer.
You can't save any transfers to use a few weeks, months from now. When the time is up all unused transfers are erased. -
Uhm this is the launch day of a brand new expansion and everyone and their brother is fighting to logon at the same time so I wouldn't be surprised if some people experienced some lag issues.
-
I don't recall if it was the banker but I did get the message that I had encountered my first day job location. I just didn't care enough to pay attention to where or what it was, but it was in Nova.
