Hey Guys and Gals...

At some point, there's going to be RPers with villains of sufficient level for places like Warburg. Now, one of the things we'd like to do is decent, RP'd battles with our opposite numbers, but we're worried we won't get the chance because of all the other PvPers in the same zone interfering and making it impossible for us.

So, if on entering places like Warburg, we make ourselves known, would the rest of the PvPers consent to leave us alone? Obviously there's bound to be the odd tool who won't, but would the majority of you object to letting us be so we can get on with our RP battles? We won't be doing these for PvP reps or stuff like that, we'd be doing it for our plotlines and nothing else.

At least some of us are going to be making arch-nemesis type characters for others heroes and there's no point in that unless we can meet at a future point and settle things the hard way... If we have to spend 2 hours fighting across the map to get to a RP site, and then get ganked during it, there's just no point...

Well, like I said... Anyone attacking anyone else can expect to get whatever they get, especially an existing battle I did it a couple of times on the test server (sorry Mediscales2!!). Shame I neglected to pay closer attention to the dwarf he was fighting.. OUCH! Shame I was also exmped down below my epic pool so I didn't have my shield!!

And I'll see about sorting something with Nova a bit later... (Need to remind myself of where his powers are and binds!) Plight's faced him a couple of times in the Arena pre I5 and he got spanked Maybe I'll just un-stealth/phase shift behind you and say boo with my alpha strike... (Of course, should I do that, I'd fully expect to be dead 10 seconds later!)

Well, if someone attacks you first they've got what's coming to them, even I won't deny THAT fact!

Though, maybe if they appear to be alone, just the one who gets attacks responds whilst the others keep an eye out for friends? Meh... Rules change whey they attack a team, it's the other way around that is of concern to me

You know... I really should bring Novastar out of retirement to give you a 1 on 1 pounding Though I've not played him in a while and kinda out of practice on him... He's still on his I4 build too! I'm curious to see what he can do against your I6 PvP controller build...

Well, you could always sent a lone man out to confront a single target, with the rest ready to charge in if he's not alone?

I'm sorry, but I really DO think if it's a lone target, then any more than 2 to 1 really just is not on. You're not giving him a fighting chance and I can't see how YOU manage to get fun out of a sure thing... Surely duking it out one on one, where you've got a good chance of getting smeared, is going to be FAR more satisfying that the whole lot flying up to some dude, hitting a single attack, and walking away from his remains?

What about the poor SOB you just smeared? Did he have fun getting ganked by 8 guys, or would he have had fun if it had been a battle he could win? Personally, I'll take on any one or even two at a time, but more? Forget it; certain doom is not fun, but uncertain doom is!

Not trying to spoil your fun guys, just trying to get you to see the other side of the coin...

However, if I may point out a novel use for the trial codes we all got when we bought CoV. An account that gets suspended at the end of the 14 days trial doesn't remove the toons from SG's until 3 months of inactivity...

Right.. Ghost and I found out a couple of things last night Re bases.

1) Kicking a member from the SG, when all prestige is spent, DOES cause prestige debt; BUT, the base remained as functional as it was before (we have no functional items)

2) Inviting team members works fine BUT the team leader must be outside the base for teammates to enter
3) Being kicked from the teams while inside the base does NOT kick you out the base!! That means you can get loads of people inside if you want

If anyone wants to take a look around, let me or Ghost know and we'll show you around! We've set it up to represent several locations, Gravs magic library, Tower of Powers office and mainly Ellie and Mileena's house/fortress. I did a little bit of the design but Ghost did 95% of it, he's pretty good at layout I think!!

As our mains are already in an SG, and Jester wants an IC reason for a coalition, we've both rolled low level alts of our mains to facilitate access. Jessica Stoneberg and Ellie. Once CK sorts out his CoV code problem, I imagine there'll be a lowbie alt of Yoko too, and Mileena also has access. We're going to do a similar thing for Jedi too. If anyone needs a short term alt for prestige bonus, I'll he happy to help them out as well, may as well get some good use out of that 14 trial code I got with CoV!

OK, I know it's only really us UK people who celebrate it, but anyone fancy another party at the weekend for bonfire night? Seeing as I won't be going out due to fireworks upsetting my kids, but will be supping a few cold ones at home, pretty much like last night...

Ellie promises to drink nothing stronger than a coke!

We could sit Molok in the square to be the bonfire, and people could throw the odd fireball etc for fireworks...

I think it's debt Gid, but not sure... Might be able to find out later today, unless Ghost can do it sooner and boot one of my alts from last night out (The Ms Ellie one please...)

In theory it should be. What I've not yet determined is if the SG end up in Prestige debt if an alt leaves when there's not enough prestige to cover the 20k bonus. Once we've spent all the prestige in the base (maybe later today), we'll try it!

However, prestige debt won't really matter as only functional items gets disabled in your base if you can't pay the bills, the base itself is still accessible, and for RP, we have no functional items.

Ghost and I tried something out yesterday afternoon. We setup an SG, and filled it with 15 alts, then we hit the base designer. The money from the alts gave us more than enough to add a fairly large recreational room with still a LOT of prestige left over to decorate it with. Z had a look around and we've added more since then, and have still got a lot of prestige left over.

I think doing it this way will work you know, though we don't have any functional items. Once the prestige is spent, most of the alts will be dropped from the SG as the bonus from them will be spent. Rent isn't a worry as we don't have any functional items.

Did notice a few things though... We need more decorative furniture like rugs, decent beds, and ability to put things on top of coffee tables!! Oh, and a plasma screen that cycles through TV pictures instead of computer screens would be nice too! Oh, and exiting base edit mode you sometimes can't see everything you've placed, so exit the base and re-entering should sort it out.

All we'd need is some coalitions setting up. We tried the invite a team member bit, but couldn't seem to get that to work, any ideas on how that works anyone?
