Hard to think of an IC justification - IC we're in the States where they don't celebrate it. We can't "do" fireworks in game, and not else happens other than standing around fires (we could move to steel I suppose)
To be honest, what's the difference between a party at the statue and a normal night, especially if you're not drinking IC? 
Christmas on the other hand...
IC there's plenty of british characters pining for home.. if i lived in the states i'd have my own bonfirenight every year and try make it a "fad"

Stef, Pyremus (who you probably won't remember) and me. To be honest, I'd be seriously considering not going if Pyr didn't have a friend with a house within 25 minutes of the site, so we get to sleep indoors at night.

OK, I know it's only really us UK people who celebrate it, but anyone fancy another party at the weekend for bonfire night?
Seeing as I won't be going out due to fireworks upsetting my kids, but will be supping a few cold ones at home, pretty much like last night... 
Ellie promises to drink nothing stronger than a coke!
We could sit Molok in the square to be the bonfire, and people could throw the odd fireball etc for fireworks...
