Quote:Prestige Power Slide comes with City of Heroes Collector's Edition. I'm not precisely sure what the OP is referring to with "Deluxe Edition", since there is no version of the game named that, but CoH CE is the closest thing I can think of.This Deluxe Edition ... Does it come with the prestige power slide power that was only previously available in the DVD Collectors Edition?

Quote:I've gotta admit, I do prefer the videos without the game UI. But I also realize an Issue trailer with a bunch of UI improvements should probably show that aspect of the Issue as well. Catch 22.This was okay, I wouldn't call it your masterpiece though. I think you've had a lot better ones in the past, especially the GR teaser. Now THAT was great film-making.

Yeah, I'm willing to bet the stuff on Big Bang Theory is paid product placement (or at least authorized use with a writer/producer who's a fan). BBT isn't going to be seeing any action from NCSoft legal.

For another perspective of Closed vs. Open beta, Closed is when the developers want close and careful scrutiny of specific bugs. Open is when the developers want to stress test the systems before putting 100,000 players on the new version.

/bug My graphics card sucks to much to handle UM. Please send me a new card ASAP.

Also, with regard to CoX stuff on Big Bang Theory, they have CoX placements fairly frequently. A character wearing a shirt, a boxed copy or Statesman standie in the background, etc.

Almost every person with half a brain recognized how powerful BotZ was when it came out, and said as much.
The others didn't say anything either because they didn't care, or because they wanted to keep a broken thing going as long as possible. -
For everything except Kick, you've got excellent accuracy (and Kick isn't too bad; against +0 enemies you're still in the top streakbreaker bracket). Higher level foes, foes using +def, or foes inflicting -tohit on you will reduce your chances to hit, of course, but it looks like you're doing fine to me.

There was an announcement about it on the Titan forums on MArch 11, but the change happened a couple weeks before that.

Quote:It's actually simply X (left/right), Y (up/down), Z (forward/back). Because that's how mathematicians and more than half of the 3D modeling programs I've ever used do it.Right now they're jumbled, something like z, -y, x, and for the life of me I don't know why.
Y is up and down on a piece of paper, yes? Why would it cease to be up and down in a 3D world? You're looking at XYZ on the map and assuming north/south should be Y and that east/west should be X, as if the map is the piece of paper. The game is looking at XYZ from the perspective of the world: when the camera is at PYR 0,0,0, +Y is up and -Y is down; +X is right and -X is left (these are just like on your paper); the direction if Z (is +Z forward or backward?) then depends on whether you're using a left-handed or right-handed system. In a right-handed system, +Z is backward; in a left-handed system, +Z is forward.
This is all considering the camera has a PYR orientation of 0,0,0: it's facing "forward" with respect to the coordinate axes, and it's not tilted at all. Because we can rotate the camera, "right" is not necessarily "+X" and "up" is not necessarily "+Y". Any direction you move your character (and therefore, the camera) would be a linear combination of X, Y, and Z.
On paper, +Z is very rarely "up", so I'm not sure why you'd expect that from a 3D environment. When drawing a 3D graph on paper, +Z tends to be either "rising out" of the paper, or else "sinking into" it. (Again, this would depend on whether you're using a right-handed or left-handed system)
tl;dr: The /loc command does not given you a (3D) location on the (2D) map. It gives you a (3D) location in the (3D) world.
In this game, +Y is up with respect to the map, as expected. +X is east with respect to the map. In a right-handed system, +Z would necessarily be north; however, our +Z is south, meaning we're dealing with a left-handed system. The direction for +Y is standard. The direction for +X (or +Z) is arbitrary. The direction for +Z (or +X) is defined by the existing directions of +Y and +X (or +Z), and whether you're using right-hand or left-hand ruled for the coordinate system. -

Quote:I don't see exactly how you come to that conclusion. I would agree that his actions were evil: he killed millions of innocent people. However, his intent was to save the world from Mutually Assured Destruction*, which is certainly a good thing. That would assume that I felt Ozy was still a Hero. I dont his actions and intent in the definition is evil.
You keep saying that evil is both action and intent, but your argument points more towards "action OR intent, and if either is evil than you're damned for all eternity".
* Within the limits of the graphic novel/movie. It's possible that the nations of the world went back to their old ways later, but that's not within the scope of the story.
Quote:But does one good act wipe the slate clean even if its world saving?
We tend to want to forgive, and look for reasons too.
Anakin Skywalker wasn't destined to save the Empire. He was destined to "bring balance to the Force". At the time, there were hundreds or thousands of Jedi, even public Jedi school... and there were only a handful of Sith. For some reason, the Jedi interpreted "bring balance to the Force" as "destroy the Sith" - a more scrutinizing person would reason that it would mean "equalize the Jedi and Sith", which is exactly what Anakin did. He also did it the simplest way possible: it's much easier to slaughter existing Jedi ('the good guys') than it is to recruit more Sith ('the bad guys'). -
I don't mind when someone quips something witty during the scene (emphasis: actually witty), especially if it relates to the scene itself. Something stupid gets an eyeroll; spamming the same line as fast and you can hit the button makes me wish I could reach through the internet and strangle them.
The ITF isn't the only example. I know I've played around putting myself in Night Widow Nocturne's cutscene in the "Draw Out Nocturne" mission:
Wolf Spider Assault: Ma'am! There's nothing here, but Jenkins said he saw Fleeting Whisper!
Fleeting Whisper: *wave*
Night Widow Nocturne: Fleeting Whisper! It's a trap!
Operative Jenkins: Um... guys? I'm waaaay over here, on the other side of the building. I haven't seen hide nor hair of that Fleeting Whisper dude... -
Curious: Are you talking about actual banking in flight, or are you talking about the gradual turn used with the Goldbricker Rocket Pack (or while flying using the Goldbricker Halloween costume)?

I've never heard of "desktop mode", in any game. You might have done Windowed mode, and then maximized the window.

You can change difficulty by speaking to Hero Corps representative (Heroes) and Fortunata Fateweavers (Villains), which are marked on your map.
