No, but some of us do, and adding a taunt aura to Presence would be enough for me to totally rework my Time/Sonic defender's build in order to make room.

I would also settle for a Taunt proc that I could put in Time's Juncture.
  2. Cool, thanks. I'll go have a look.
  3. The Power Balladeer says YES PLEASE!

I still have plenty more costume slots to fill. Let's have some more patent leather and studded jackets and David Bowie hair and huge chunky heels with spikes all over, kay?
  4. The guy on the ad banner for the presently available enhancement inventory increase is using a top pattern, a hair/hat style, and possibly a face detail 2 that I have never seen before:

What are these? Are they ingame?
  5. Who is the statue in Blyde Square? Is it M1, like the one that was in Galaxy City, or does it just share a model?
  6. Mine is a Water/Kin corruptor with all her powers colored dark brown, named Caffeind.
  7. Unfortunately I don't have the slots to support that strategy.
  8. Right, so I've been mulling over the numbers on my Time/Sonic defender, trying to figure out how best to order my blasts for optimum DPS - so far I've been using the old Shriek/Scream/Shriek/Howl chain, but I'm wondering if I might be better off reworking the build to use Shout instead of Scream (which I can do without any changes to his other powers' picks or slotting other than taking Recall Friend earlier). Unfortunately I'm not quite sure how to calculate those numbers to find out what attack chain really is empirically the best - advice?

Build follows, if it matters (overall I'm happy with it; he's practically indestructible, I'm just looking for a little insight on blasting strategy):

  9. While I have no real experience in either, my boyfriend built a Plant/Fire/Fire that I am convinced is the best character in the game. He runs at +4/x8 against everything short of Rularuu (though he does have to take special care against Arachnos and Longbow) and melts through fire farms better than the brute he also made for that specific purpose.

What about Arbiters Daos, Rein, Hawk, and Sands, then? It's the same armor.

Don't call Marshal Brass a redshirt!
  12. It's really not fair - NPC Wolf Spiders can go without helmets, after all!

Yeah, I generally agree with this. Pity.
  14. As a simpler way of putting it, think of a City of Heroes character model as a Lego person. A Lego person is made up of several different interchangable parts - legs, pelvis, torso, left arm, right arm, left hand, right hand, head, hair - which can be swapped around, but you can only have one of each. So if you have a Lego person with no hair, that's one open place to attach a new part: either a plastic Lego hairstyle, or a plastic Lego hat, but once you attach one you can't also attach the other. City of Heroes has a more complicated set of pieces that come together to form a character than Lego, but the principle is the same: Once you attach hair, that fills the space that would be used for a hat, and vice versa. However, people don't want to have to be bald in order to wear a hat - which means we get hats that are combined hat+hair into a single part.

    Is that clearer?
  15. Because of attachment points. There's only so many points you can use to attach a costume part to a character, and the slot for "Hair" is shared with the slot for "Hats." Goggles and glasses don't interfere with them because they take a different attachment point (Face Detail 1). If hats were made into a Detail that could be used with your choice of hairstyles, they would a) have serious clipping issues with a lot of hair styles, varying between hats because they all have different shapes of brim and crown, and b) prevent the wearer from using the other things that take that attachment point, most likely Face Detail 1 or Ears.

While I'll concede it would be really, really nice to be able to color hair and hat separately - even if having "hat primary, hair secondary" ends up with parts of the hat being pretinted just so it doesn't end up totally flat - having hair and hat together as a single costume part solves more problems than it causes.
  16. That would require an entirely new bottom type, if we were given a "Long skirts" option using the method of not modeling the legs underneath. And that means UI coding. No mean feat; might require a new attachment point too. I've also heard it has issue with body proportion sliders.

Also, not modeling the legs would require the bottom of the skirt to be closed off, so as to avoid the problem of looking at a character from below and seeing nothing but a void above the character's knees, and looking at the costume parts we've been getting lately, I highly, highly doubt that the devs would find closing off the bottom to be an acceptable solution.

Yes - for completing five Praetorian moral choice missions. Which can be outleveled. And are solo-only.
  18. Alts don't solve the problem of the badge progress bar for Moral High Ground still sitting at 3/5 on a 50, alas.
  19. Uh, I trust those "$" where they appear mean "inf?"
  20. Confirming there is already a tommygun.

What I would want for a Golden Age pack is some ankle-high boots, for both sexes:

With both tights and skin options for the calf.

EDIT:Also, now that I look at it, a cape collar option like Robin's here would also be pretty sick, especially if we can use our existing brooch options with it.

FURTHER EDIT: Also hair like Silk Spectre's in OP's video. Why didn't we get that with the Retro Sci-Fi Pack, anyway? This is a chance to remedy that!

Given there are a few D&D and Pathfinder spells/effects that work exactly this way (with superheated water doing fire damage, for that reason), this is how I intuitively thought of it in the first place when I heard of it. Also, I'm glad there were some "hot water" attacks included, since I'm going to be using the set on a Water/Kin corruptor as Coffee Blast
  22. You can also use the Windows Snipping Tool to screencap just the part of the UI you need.
  23. Running the mission that is now "Meet up with Positron" from Maria Jenkins, and found this:

These intimidatingly-re-costumed, but weaker, clones of Black Swan were present in several mobs - they're level 44 Elite Bosses, as opposed to the level 45 real one that didn't have the changed costume (i.e. the one you kill to complete the "Defeat Black Swan" objective). I counted six of them before I got tired of flying around a foggy Shadow Shard map.

I have never even HEARD of this happening before. ParagonWiki doesn't seem to know about it. Wtf is going on here?
  24. You're welcome

You know that sticky-backed plastic that you see covering tabletops in kindergarten rooms and at church bake sales and stuff? My school cafeteria used it on some surfaces and I loved poking at the bubbles to make them move around when I was a kid - that's contact paper. Basically, you can trace your stencil/mask designs onto that and cut it out because it's one great big sheet, so you don't have to deal with making smooth curves out of tape.
