its true... there arnt enough ppl on live on any one server to net more then what would show up on test anyway... alot of it has to do with how much work is involved with actaully setting teams and toons up on test... on live they really have to have teh IOs which would limit interest even more

As far as this well be able to organize more teams and all and have a better idea who is looking for a team and who is just checking it out and maybe sub in for someone. Something I suggest is, if you havnt already, get in touch with a couple other ppl that are interested in breaking into the pvp scene and are interested in learning new things about this game and see what sorts of toons and powersets you have to work with and see what might synergize well. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. Im more then happy to help with builds, team configs, random questions... whatever... but if you come with the attitude and view that you will jsut die and not have any fun then thats exacly what will happen. Sure at first dont expect to win much, but you have to willing to start somewhere. This new pvp has a relativly sharp learning curve to it. If you wanna learn how to play in the system then it will take some effort. No build or billions worth of IOs will make you a god. If you dont know what your doing you still wont know what your doing with a 'uber' build.

ya i just looked at the numbers again... i think when i had orignially looked that tha dmaage changes for ranged attacks on melee they hadnt nerfed it taht far into beta....

That means they will be looked at Soon[tm].... hopefully before i quit the game.

Hurl and KO blow went unchanged. I totally agree that the epics were OP but im just trying to give this guy a heads up that he will feel like a bull with no dick trying to play a tank mage.

well itd be between a mind/therm/leadership build and a mind/therm/power/phase build... i like tactics and for just casual zone and arena play i take the hibernoob... thoi doubt that would change to a more serious build either unless DR was not in effect.

When i13 first came out I did this with my Ice/SS tank. I did Ice/SS/Ice. Thats when the epics did really nice damage.... In i14 that got nerfed all to hell for the epic pool damage. For the same type of fight that would take 10-15 secs to kill something solo in i13 you cant kill in i14. Overall in teams youll be just fine but solo GL killing anything.

For pain secondary i would do one of these in this order:
Son (Add -res in every attack, also a handy stun)
Eng (Provides some control with power push as well as decent damage on the side)
Fire or Rad (kinda tied cause if you are doing damage that means your not buffing or healing...)

If you want more KB protection look into the PvP sets.

How does MA fit into your world then....? Your just kickboxing someone ... very similar...

From the list of toons ya got there I would say easy toons to make bad habits on are the bs/regen and the ss/fire... melee self sufficent and solo decent. Tech a good place to start but it will limit you in the long run. If you want a challenge I would start with the son/elec blaster and the ice cold corr. Depends alot on your play style and how into it all you want to get.
