SS > Stone because of Rage.
WP sucks because RTTC gets toggle dropped when mezzed, go fire.
like dread said, take fire armor out of those 3 choices.
fire/ss or inv/ss works if you are going with stone epic i would suggest getting alot of +recharge.

But what bout Stone Armor? Why fire is better? Stone Armor has really a crazy amount of def.
Stone armor is great, sure. If you don't mind being slow as hell, doing less damage, and having less RECHARGE, which you will already need ridiculous amounts of to sustain this attack chain.

Just a thought maybe go Prye instead of Earth. More so if you go Fire/SS Rage+firey Imbrace= nasty damage out of Char, fireball, and fire blast.

Is this supposed to be pvp or pve? You're gonna be gimp either way if you dont use melee attacks.... but the idea itself sounds...interesting.

First: i simply don't play pve. Never (exept for farm when i have to slot a toon).

You DO know that tankers, brutes, scrappers, and stalkers ranged damage got nerfed hard, right? You will be easy to take down and won't get many kills.
Yeah, but i repeat: this will never been my primary toon,, i make it only for spend some time and for try something different.
When i13 first came out I did this with my Ice/SS tank. I did Ice/SS/Ice. Thats when the epics did really nice damage.... In i14 that got nerfed all to hell for the epic pool damage. For the same type of fight that would take 10-15 secs to kill something solo in i13 you cant kill in i14. Overall in teams youll be just fine but solo GL killing anything.
They SHOULD nerf ranged epics for scrappers, stalkers, brutes, and tanks. It was out of hand the amount of range they had and how much damage the APP/PPP attacks did. Hurl, Impale, Boulder, and Focus, however, should NOT have been nerfed
Hurl and KO blow went unchanged. I totally agree that the epics were OP but im just trying to give this guy a heads up that he will feel like a bull with no dick trying to play a tank mage.

I thought Hurl did get lowered some. I seem to notice a damage decrease from before to after
Yes hurl did get a decrease, as well as impale, throw boulder, and throw spines.
ya i just looked at the numbers again... i think when i had orignially looked that tha dmaage changes for ranged attacks on melee they hadnt nerfed it taht far into beta....

Go Fire/SS/Pyre.
Skip Char the damage is low and the Recharge is high, take Ring of Fire.

Looking at tankers' powers on builder i had this idea: a Tanker with a range based attak chain.
Taking Earth Mastery and SS or Stone Mellee it seems possible.
(U ll use Hurl Boulder/Hurl , Stone Prison and Fossilize).
And i d like to try (considering my main is a psi/em blaster and this toon will be only a way for spend some time.. i have nothing to lose).
Now poit is witch primary have i to take? I was thinking about Fire, Stone or WP.
I Like stone cause it is Def based.
Fire for the heal (but i can take medicie pool anyway), and WP .. well WP usually is good
And about secondary i can't decide betwheen SS or Stone.
So, got any suggestion ?
