  1. Add me to the list of people who've achieved emotional excitement upon watching your video. That feeling of nostalgia(Or however the heck you spell that... This computer doesn't have Microsoft Word) and rekindled joy mixed so very well while I watched from the darkness of my room.

As a veteren that came in only a few days previous to the City of Villains Release - less then a week, I believe - seeing all that I've missed and all that I've been through helped to give me that strong feeling of reassurance that I've chosen the perfect community to belong to. It feels right to be here and interract with the names that I've seen since the beginning. Not only that, but to be here and take part in ushering in and welcoming the future community that has slowly continued to pour in to take part in this group effort.

Right now, not only do I want to thank you for this video, but the community and the developers in general who have all had a part in shaping what has become, not just a game, but a family. And thanks for letting me become a part of it.

    ...

I just really wanted to get that off my chest.

Quick note: It's not actually a blank entry, it's a channel called "Cutscene Captions" in a dark green fade to black text that is VERY difficult to see in certain dark areas in-game. The good news is that you can move to a lighter area and read them later.

With something like that, we could do things like:

    • Answer questions being asked (Did ya notice there were a LOT on that Kotaku section?). Developers and Marketing can't touch those with a ten foot pole.

    • Photoshop us some nice promotional images.

    • Get great fan videos posted places. Samuraiko, care to come here for a second...?

    • Bombard (in a good way) sites that we feel are writing City of Heroes off.

    • Form in-game events designed to welcome/re-introduce people. Be tour guides, as it were.
Anyone want to work with me on it?

Yes! Thousand times yes! I sign up!

The servers will usually go down at about 8 - 10 Est, then remain locked for about two hours.

Actually, I sold my internet zapper, so nevermind... I still strongly recommend posting tangible data, even if it's fake. You want to give the illusion that you're not trolling.

Ideally, it'll slow to one booster per year. Prefferably, I would rather they stop after this next one, or after the next theme set.

    - Acc/Dam
    - Dam/End
    - 2x Dam/Rech
    - Acc/End/Rech
    - Acc/Dam/Rech

That gives me 92.2% damage, 52% accuracy, 71.8% recharge, 36% endurance cost (note that I prioritize recharge over endredux). That's with level 25 IOs - higher levels would make the numbers much better. But I consider that slotting to be good enough at level 22 -- and it usually lasts me all the way to 50, when I decide to start slotting "for real".

For melee, use the sets Smashing Haymaker, Strike and Pulverizing Fisticuffs; those are dirt cheap. For ranged, I use Ruin, Tempest and Decimation (for the Acc/Dam, which is cheap at level 25). You can easily find combinations that work well for pretty much any power, without having to spend much influence at all.
Dag nabbit, I hate looking at numbers. Yet here I go poking my head into a thread that has me well beyond considering it enough to download Mids.

Once again, I apologize, I have a lot of things on my plate and I made a boo boo
You do realize that now you have to join in with Vanden and Corva and share those special little icons with us, right?

So I dropped it. But now I have TWO other kidnaps in my missions list! One is against the Lost and the other just says "Unable to obtain task detail information"

I had zero missions when I logged on. Both of my current missions are random newspaper missions...and of course my mission drop is used up. I'm bugging it now, but can any one explain what happened here?

Edit: I just tried to enter the one that said "Unable to obtain task detail information" and it just disappeared. But I still ended up with a mission I never selected, and some how seemed to get at the same time as another newspaper mission.
If you weren't able to get the task information, the mission was bugged. I recommend sending a bug report with as much information as you can think to give them.

Here's a quick workaround when you see a Newspaper mission you don't want: Leave the zone, then come back. BAM! Three new missions!

EDIT: Ok, I reread your post. Now I know what you're talking about.

You already sent the bug report, and of the two missions you had only one is left. There's not much else you can do besides finishing up that mission yourself, finding an arc in your level range you can do, or waiting out three days to drop your current mission.

    YES!

That is both fair and respectable.

Thanks for the clarification! It did bother me a tad as well.

When this happens I delete ALL my characters... no matter how many... no matter how high a level... and start them all over at level 1.

The last time I did this was when Mission Architect was brought out. I have a strong, gut sinking feeling that Going Rogue will see me doing yet another system-wide reboot.
I desperately need you to explain this. In fact, I want to see the spreadsheets for myself.

It's entirely an aesthetic thing to me.
There's one specific reason I love the war walls.

Go to Baumton and fly fairly higher then most of the burned buildings. Wait, and as the sun begins the set, the war walls slowly turn into a brighter and more vibrant orange. Sure, it looks like the city is on fire, but the color is SO amazingly pretty.
