  1. My personal explanation is that the rift from the future to this Earth always existed, would randomly open up and swallow things and depositing them in the badlands region because that is where that end of the rift tends to open.

All they did in the future was to find a way to lock that end down and open it on command and the portal they eventually built at Terra Nova locked that end down (till it got blown up).
  2. It was a backhanded insult and you know it.
  3. I didn't think the show showed no consequence between episodes. What did you want them to do with the son, keel-haul him?

I used that term on purpose because the colony is like a sailing ship in days of old, you can't lock someone up for anything short of mutiny or murder because you need all hands. The son was under house arrest (he was still considered a minor) except the times when he was on work detail. The infraction from the pilot (group sneaking out, going to the still, getting people mauled) resulted in latrine duty for all parties involved who still had functioning limbs IIRC.
  4. Jeez Nericus, the rest of us were trying to NOT reveal anything from those spoilers in this thread. Good job.
  5. I found another source of it. All I can say I now understand the reason for the Thor/Capt/Shellhead fight.

  7. Lifetime subscriptions were a "new" idea a few years ago when a slew of MMOs were released.

This is partially done to raise needed funds.

Now the trend is offering the player the choice of either a F2P or subscription.
  8. You dupped your CoHHelper file and forgot the Hijack This.
  9. It's up to AMD to fix the OpenGL Crossfire issue. Then again, nVidia SLi isn't working all that well either.
  10. I haven't heard anything bad about the 560Ti. The 560 is configured as an overclocked 460 and the 560Ti-448 as Hyper points out is a cut down 570.
  11. Of the two trailers, DR's was more informative, headlining each of the major additions the issue brought to the game. And it's well done as all of DR's videos are.

However the "official" trailer is better at marketing the game to new comers. The whole "it's up to me" mantra is a great hook. And the voice acting was quite good.
  12. You can't have a series that takes more than half the ordered run to set up all the players and plots.

Also teen love in a scifi series hoping to ensnare adults is never well received. The stories were quite bipolar with half the time using plots found in shows on the CW/ABC Family and the other half of the time from SyFy.

    Great..

Another in Boston Dynamics' never ending quest to build Skynet's foot soldiers.

    Video
  14. I see Carl has inherited some of his mother's traits.

Poor Dale. It'll be interesting to see how this affects Andrea.
  15. I'm still with the confuse/deceive powers. Watching Vaz blow up their fellows, watching Tsoo Sorcerers heal your party, watching trolls set off their own barrels of explosives just never gets old.
  16. MT is best read in TPB nowadays. Piro's RL issues makes the new comics somewhat infrequent in the last few months.
  17. You forget about Green Lantern and Star Wars. Okay GL wasn't "new" but this is it's regular time slot.

And if you missed GL and YJ, it's on again Sunday from 10a-11a on CN.

B10 was another instance of an old enemy but using new aliens. Come on, bring on Cthulhu already.

YJ was great to see again. Only question, who was the young hero who saved the bus on the bridge, don't recognize her (Raven but a very different look? Don't know).

Yes that was a surprisingly fun, well done live action teen superhero movie. They did a great job casting all the adults.

"I'm not Wonder Woman you know."
  19. I suspect the three way fight between Iron Man, Captain America and Thor comes about due to the whole "who's in command in the field" thing. I suspect it gets decided when Captain gets a hold of Mjolnir (mewmew) and can actually wield it, even if it's no more than picking it up and handing it to Thor. It's the only way I would expect Thor to accept him as the leader.
  20. Actually it was a system of 5 stars and 7 brown dwarfs or protostars that they were able to ignite.
  21. He also did the Hulk's voice in the last movie so not that much of a surprise.
  22. Well don't forget, no matter how hard we try, that it was because of Cameron's movie called Avatar, Avatar: the Last Airbender had to lose the Avatar part. I wouldn't be surprised that in the UK that the The Avengers movie from the 90s, produced in the UK, has that title locked up for n number of years there.
  23. Yes, tops and sleeves are two separate piece. For instance in the super packs the jacket sleeves are common but the jacket itself is uncommon.
  24. "Director Fury, I think it's time."

Wanna bet that's when we see the Shield "carrier" lift off (considering it seems water bound at the point when Banner flies in).
  25. Bad analogy time.

What pumps more water, a pump with a standard speed motor supplied with a 1" hose or a pump with a faster motor but only a 3/4" hose?

Back in the day, the 192-bit GTX 460 was 5-10% slower than the 256-bit one when both clocked the same (675MHz) with the same speed memory (3600MHz). And no it wasn't because the 192-bit one only had 768MB while the 256-bit one had 1GB.
