Saw this tonight. Fun movie all around.

What did Joss do, go through his list of actors and actresses from his previous shows and see if they were interested in a job? The three I spotted, which were obvious to Mutant Enemy fans, were Amy Acker (Angel and Dollhouse), Fran Kranz (Dollhouse) and Tom Lenk (Buffy, guest spot on Angel).

    Eureka 4/23

I didn't like Ming-Na's character on Stargate Voyager and for Eureka they really twisted the b**** knob to 11. Maybe someday she'll get a roll where she plays a nice person.

I imagine it's because TGA is older than Moses when it comes to a true color file format and is extremely trivial to implement. PNG is a lot more complected and didn't really become an official standard until just before the game came out.
  4. Just tried it in Firefox 11 and Chrome 18, works OK. Could any of you be blocking googleapis.com or ncsoft.com?

    Eureka 4/23

    Nooooooooooooooo!!!
When did Joss Whedon become a writer on this show?
  7. Those aren't power cables, they are SATA data cables.

What you are looking for is something like this, a SATA power extension, but I can't find something like that at your site.

What you can use is something like this which converts a 4-pin MOLEX power connector to a SATA power connector.

    Hope that helps.
  8. Well the police force in Republic City seems to rely entirely on metal bending. Add to that the various bending criminal gangs, stripping bending from them all opens up organized crime to nonbenders.
  9. So Superman is actually a vampire who sparkles in sunlight?

(Yes I know it's suppose to be bullets ricocheting off him but he looks like he's sparkling)

Of course not, they are talking about only 25 ft in diameter. These are the small ones that tend to get detected a day or so before they pass by Earth but still it's an idea that has launched more than a few disaster films.
  11. Saw this a week or more ago. Nice performance "art" piece.

There's a quote in the preview that was something like "You let me think you were dead all this time". Of course the whole thing may end up being yet another "dream" sequence.

Sorry I Googled "thong" and images show butt floss (including being part of a one piece) and wikipedia says all thongs are butt floss. In Penny's case her bottom is cut so it rides above the hip bone.
  15. Developer Hack I think to force level and require to quit to restore your proper level. Tech was already in TF so they used it when they introduced Ouruboros.

There is some actual electrical, power, timing and configuration differences between GDDR3 and DDR2 (yes DDR2 is the basis of GDDR3) used in system memory, I assume similar differences exist between GDDR5 and DDR3 as well. When I say configuration, system memory is 8 bits wide per chip while graphics memory is 32 bits wide per chip. The number relates to version. Yes there was GDDR4, also based on DDR3, for a short time and used by ATI before everyone jumped to GDDR5.

Got the parts yeasterday and the installation went very smoothly.

The sata power-cables weren't long enough to reach both my HDD's and my optical drive, so I need a extra cord to reach the DVD player. But that can wait, who uses the DVD player these days anyway

I also noticed that the CPU is in need of some thermal coolant, but that should not pose a problem as of yet.

I invested in the POV Geforce 450 card, because the Gigabyte card was clearly to big, and would come in conflict with the CPU's heatsink (thanks for the heads up Father Xmas.

The top temprature measured on the GPU yeasterday, was 49 degree celcius, so the cooling is totally fine.

Thanks again both Hyperstrike and Father Xmas for your amazing help.

    Team Tios

    You're welcome.

Yes BTX style motherboards like in your Dell (with the CPU center front) has always been a problem with today's "every one has room for a double wide card" mentality for mid to high end video cards. Glad you found one that fits.

Surprised to hear about your power cable problem, shouldn't there be two cables with SATA power connectors on them, one to connect to your DVD and one you could thread down to your drives?
  17. Thundercats - Sad kitten tales.

Green Lantern - More yellow crystals, Kilowog got a girlfriend and next week Star Sapphire (how did Carol get out there?).

Young Justice - Well everyone is pairing off after saving the day. Happy New Years. Agreed, too fast of a resolution.

Legend of Korra - Awww, sleep cute. Just waiting for Avatar Mode getting triggered in Korra. Maybe if she gets deep enough into trouble.
  18. The bottom may be cut up high on the hips but (no pun intended) it's no butt floss.
  19. I'm been wondering what you would do if the poor cat couldn't get her cast through. The floor is obviously bowed and I would be unsure if opening the door and sliding the cat to one end would work. I can't imagine trying to stuff the cat back under the door without injuring it.

Thanks for the fix. My allergies are in full swing and it feels like there is an entire family of cobbler elves hammering away in my head.
  21. Had the same thoughts as Desi and Zom. That was the one TV role he was known for and Deep and Burton took it and made it into a farce.

I will always remember the original Barnabas Collins.

    RIP
  22. In your examples it's still a single selection. I think the OP's question about asymmetry is more along the line of selecting different gloves, boots, shoulders for each side of character. Other than choosing the one robot arm torso and them being able to customize each arm, you are stuck with symmetry.
  23. Whoa, flashback. Way, way back flashback.

I can still remember making mine out of a set of folding chairs, a blanket and encyclopedias (stacked on the chair seats to hold the blanket in place) in the middle of the family room.

I also remember large cardboard boxes that became submarines and spaceships with suitable application of crayons.
  24. The book this is from came out in the early 90s I think. Still post Red Dawn which came out a decade before.

I heard the movie was popular in it's Australia, #20 back in 2010.
