Thats very true Larac, there ARE toons out there who can flatten almost anything they come across - buildup or aim and snipe do in PvE adn i'm told can in PvP.

If your building for damage then thats your call but remember corruptors are the healing ones or as close to healers as we've got. Teams will expect you to heal and rez them. There were a spate of 'offenders' claiming they were for damage not healing but thats their point - to heal ad defend. Corruptors only have it as a secondery but its still a supportive pool you've taken. Perhaps cold or another less supportive would have been better than one folks know to be a good healing pool?

ah Fuzzi - my love *sobs*. VERY good pets slotted right they are a law unto themselves and unlike other pets are walk-through so dont clog up doors.
They can take hold, immob, heal, taunt (according to planner =/) and to hit debuff.

Hover adds defence so it doesnt need a flightspeed with one slot, it easier in mish to take it on and off to move.
Shadow fall too is for defence - end ok but additional defence is needed too.

Fearsome stare - pop a fear duration in there and acc. It was nerfed but its still a good power.
Howling twighlight needs more then just recharge, damage, heal, end or slow but more slots anyway.
Nightfall - conerange and damage would be handy there.

Assault and tactics do need and end redx whilst in use heavily but tactics could do with tohit buffs aswell.

TBPH @ 32 take your Nova darkstar - 1 acc, 3 damage (though you cant 6 slot anymore Boooo), 2 debuff - when you can slot it. It will be a good nova combined with your other powers, darkest night in particular as there wont be many left able to squish you lol.


For teh most part your slotting looked ok altough you seem to have slotted loads on the first few which could have waited so the slots could go on other powers which lack them. Theres no rush for a lot of powers to be 6 slotted - spread them out a lil more as there are other powers there who'd benefit from slots.

Your choice as I said but as I also said me and DC have been at dark miasma for some time both as heroes and villains. TG is the best heal in the game anyway - it gives the highest HP (that and kinetics i shud say). Debuffing in all teh powers DO help. I've got 2 acc, 3 heal and 1 debuff in my lvl 50 and my corruptor will slot the same or with recharge instead. Since ED thing have changed a lot before I had 2 acc and 4 heals. Some I know had 6 heals. It does need the acc, we all know this...it had to have some draw bak or empaths would cry


Moonbeam already has accuracy built in and while it wont go amiss it shouldnt be at teh expence of another slot. Respoce your hero planner coming up (in relation to primary and additional of course)

Your last post read more like YOUR telling ME tbh, I'm still not sure you want advise, and I'm not asking for any lol. The pools are the same and carry over tricks and lessons learned from defenders - teh major diff is now the damage output has gone up for the blasts though still not as high as blasters (AFAIK)

When the cap gets raised to 50 you will open up Epic power pools as we had in CoH. There is sketchy info on what the villains will recieve. Apparently this will depend on which faction of Arachnos you are leaning towards.
In CoH the epics tend to come from another AT's pools, on Ravenmyst I have powers similar to a mind controller - telekinesis, dominate and a shield (this was new) I know some other defenders who took electric or dark scrapper esque choices.
These tend to hog your 40-50 choices, which is what i meant, by that time you should be almost fully picked and slotted. But as we dont know what happening really I wouldnt worry to much over what to leave till them.

As for SJ it can be useful in PvP IF used right but blasters and corrs sometimes/mostly use flight. Though slotting hover for speed sounds like a waste of slots I'd heard a reg PvP'er talking about it but if your not PvP bound i shouldt have thought that would figure?

The lag was horrific tonight though, i enjoyed myself although it was hard to target and click powers. If anything spoilt it its that.

Petryfying gaze isnt just good in PvP like i say its one of the best hold around.

Not take HT! shame on you, its kinda hopefull to say you should save ppl before they die - some cant help being debt magnets. And its not a normal rez it debuffs, damages and disorientates so can be used as an attack if needs be.
TG; id stick a debuff there too, its up to you at the end of the day and it depends whether you want to take in what you've asked for. What DO you ahve from your primary?

Gloom is good DoT - damage and debuffs in it, personally id stick acc in there too but thats just me

Moonbeam is fabby - leant more on damage for this one, i have a habit of using acc's now as well

TT; Personally i'd take them - i like them but not at teh expecne of summit else - builds are coming down to whether you intend to PvP or not i suppose.

Torrent is ok, i like its some dont and blackstar like DC says was doubtful on a defender but that wasnt the purpose of a defender so i'd assume the damage output of it has gone up considerably.
Slotting for damage, acc and debuff's are what i've gone for (with Raven and Nostiluca)

The fitness pool is a must on most toons tbh i dont know why its optional. Swift i normally miss tho.
A lot recommend fly as a blaster/corruptor but I'm an SJ fan.

What have you got from your primary so far?
Dont fret about the cap raising as the 40's tend to be epic choices. Try fiddling wih you build on te hero planner from the cold front site - they have good build guides too.

It still stands though you MUST adapt to teh changes or dont PvP. Stalkers CAN be beaten.

Its certainly not unreasonable and pray tell how its not the case? Certain AT's will always have a better chance of survival. Also long term or regulat PvP'ers no matter the AT will always have an advantage - its just the way of things.

I am not scared of stalkers. I am a defender. I am squishy. I have no intention of changing my build for PVP, I like it how it is.

I recognise that in CoH a team is the intended way to play the entire game. Even if a stalker gets you, your team should be able to deal with him. You don't have a team? Then deal with the fact that a PVP soloer will always be in mortal danger. I've done it - I was as nervous as a long tailed cat in a rocking chair test centre - so I kept moving and all the rest of it as much as possible and I got away with it. I was lucky and also fully prepared to go home or get a team if I kept getting nailed.

PVP is not going to change to make it designed for solo. If you really want that, go and play something else, or just stay out of PVP.

PVP is fun. Nothing comes close to the thrill of having other people after you. Very little puts my pulse up so high so fast. It works like it is supposed to, there are countermeasures and the biggest countermeasure is to have a bunch of mates around you - and you can do that with any AT. A stalker probably won't start on you if it is going to be MAD.... the all stalker teams that will appear eventually will be scary, but guess what? they won't be able to hold, heal or hit at any significant range.

Think its worth saying too since ED that powers such as tar patch will benifit from slows, have a snoop at what they take as adding debuffs etc will boost you no end.

Howling twilight can take damage and disorient (think that the one) so still 6 slot it but pop in the debuffs and maybe a damage, its still gonna be a lemming rez on occasion but least you can go down fighting.
I'd also put debuffs in any who'll take it if you intend to PvP the more you can debuff acc the better chance you get. Fuzzi can take a varitety - mine were all recharge pre I5 but Ravens now has debuffs, hold and heals added (gimme back 3 fuzzis) my dark corruptor will do too prolly.

Dark blast is ok but I prefer gloom and deffo moonbeam! Snipe is really handy. Damage and/or Acc, debuff and recharges(if u feel teh need - i dont bother usually) again. Range isnt reaslly important on moonbeam but damage is fun lol.

Never been a fan of black hole from the DM pool - its handy for solo and maybe PvP but its a pain in teams - its phazes some foe and ppl will still attack them even if you tell them =/
Fearsome stare is great altho they seem to run more than they used to, maybe thats jut me hehe,
Petryfying gaze is one of the best holds about, slotting it well will do you proud no matter if solo, team or PvP
Again darkest night is worth taking - it can be undervalued at times but works atreat.

We have ALL had to adapt for PvP, each power set had a nemesis kinda idea - tp foe for example; kinetics has increase density which ehlps combat this even TG's hurricaine energy stalkers/brutes/corruptors etc can get through (think that right). And of course AoE's, clear mind, oh and yellow inspirations help against stalkers.
Its not impossible so why make it out to be such a difficult thing?


Your out of your comfort zone with a build you played well in PvE - so were most of us at first, I know I was, i never used teh arenas before but had a free respec there so used it wisely (something worht baring in mind IF you want to PvP regardless of what some might think). There ARE ways to fight EVERY AT, it bugs me some still dont seem to get that.
Some of the regular PvPe'ers HAVE shown ways to beat stalkers, some of them ARE stalkers and are selling trade secrets and yet the bandwagon goes on......

In this case heroes who arent built for PvP, or dont understand it, some dont know how to use their own powers (laughable but oh sooo true), some just cant handle the thought of actually being defeated OMG a death in PvP - its getting had to think of a nice way to put it anymore - STOP MOANING! Learn to play your toon - PvP is NOT PVE whats good for one isnt always good in the other - respec if you can - ask advise as pointed out on numerous occasions regular PvP'ers from both sides will talk to you re; their build and how they beat you IF you ask instread of becoming abusive or whiny - its really simple.

Its a tough love situation getting - If you cant handle being killed stay out of PvP - I nor PvP'ers make it that way the Devs DID! Stalkers are not the Devil incarnate for goodness sake - have you all read the blub on stalkers? Ooo another idea also read teh blurb on powers when your taking them wheter at an even lvl or if respec'ting for PvP - it will help!

I really do find this 'stalkers are soo bad' line is gettin over worked and somewhat tedious TBH.
Maybe they shouldnt be able to one shot and that is getting looked at but if you take away AS then you may as well take away Stalkers an that is a total shame as why should a whole AT and ppl's game be nerfed due to some who just cant get around them? The are NOT immortal and they DO die - some of them quite regularly. Its NOT that hard to understand now is it? i'd like to think there are some other intelligent people out there. Its beyond a joke - some were happy when the vilains were still low and the heroes ruled and occasionally ganked their way across PvP zones. Hmm shoe and other foot??

I'm really starting to think the Pro'stalker party need to make up a standard reply to this kinda gumph and cut and paste it each time as we are all saying the same things in responce to the saem nonsence each time

I'm pretty sure some snipes could almost one shot? I might be wrong but I know they can sometimes in PvE.

And Innego you are being unresonable but your not alone(this isnt generally at you), to nerf AS in the way some wish is to take away a stalkers reason for being and you think they are really gonna kill off an AT they have just created because some cant handle them in PvP - me thinks not. A nerf will come some day its enevitable round here but me doubts AS will be going anywhere.

Folks just gotta THINK how to fight them - just because you gotta rethink your playing style as your out of your comfort zone is no reason for the was some are demonising this AT - I'm not a stalker and it bug the decaying bejesus outta me

I kinda agree with the OP's ordering I'd prolly go for that too tho its sometimes more of a case of who's closes or which AT I am at the time. With Raven my hero its more a case of who can i pester then let the rest kill - psionics finally finding a use (pants damage grr)

Dominators and controllers can be easy targets (stalkers after an AS too - low HP) but as PvP is growing its really becoming important to know the player and their powers or style rather than just the AT as some are buggers to kill no matter teh AT. Though some it seems just cant handle defeat no matter who they are or you are - sad but true.

I read that thread which is why I dont think the idea of spawns in base raids is feesable as I said over there it smacks of laziness as sone might hide behind said mob(s)

The lines i refer to are only to evident in some peoples posts. Elitism perhaps but I play both PvP and PvE quite merrily and dont see why some want you to hop over an electric fence to choose. Raids are, to me anywhay, a form of PvP on a grander scale - havent we been raiding trolls, council or whoevers bases for long enough? lol
Build a more devious base, get better defences, stronger players whatever it takes to protect base - roll a squad of MM or controllers for pets but not NPC's.


I for one anyhoo think the NPC idea is pants - simple really
