    yikes, you dont have soul drain or dark consumption!

    before moving to slotting i'd shuffle those two into the build early - and move dull pain up to before siphon life.

  7. if you're going to go a more aggressive tauntless route make sure you get used to spreading your love round, switching targets at all times and keeping your mobility high, dont get scrapper lock and get stuck to one target, thats when bodies start dying on team.

    even if you do pick up taunt perpetually swapping targets is still a good idea.
  8. inv/ss is the most brute like of all the tanks i think due to the damage that ss kicks out later levels... much later unfortunately. Im currently doing the opposite - remade Max Thunder as a SS/Inv brute on union

    they do play different but pre invincibility they are fairly scranky, thats not a bad thing though, as your aura comes in you should have your resist sets ready to take the aggro.

    i think the hardest thing to get used to is the fact that tanker builds are really quite dull pre 24 because of the limited amount of attacks you can get while fitting in all the stamina travel and defences in.

    When i was leveling my Inv/SS i took handclap as early as possible, this allowed me to slot up my defences/resists later by a level or two due to the amount of soft control you can do with handclap. However a lot of players will say its rubbish and advice against it. try it out
  9. its when you respec - you pick all your powers and when you come to slot it up the forms are available.

    i got confused by this until i did my /respec too

  11. i find myself using extraction as my targetter for my unchain essense, works the same way
  12. hi, on my kin/dark i didnt take stamina either, as is mentioned it really doesnt feel like you need it at all.

    tents i found was great, as was nightfall, they were the two staple attacks and once slotted with tohit debuff the -acc on the enemies was great!

    Unfortunately i found that the dark pit was a bit pants and dropped it out my build fairly quickly.

    I also squeezed a 6th slot on siphon speed and put a slow on it - it acts both ways slowing the enemy and speeding you up further.

    the only thing i'd probably do if i was intent on leadership was to bring it in after or around SO level (22) so that the endurance pain doesnt hurt so much.

    i forgot how much fun this character was
  13. i think in the past (i3/i4) ws/pbs did tend to run and hide when quantums arrived but i havent seen that happen for a while now.

    Certainly i'm like you, see a void, kill it is the instant response, more up close and personal the better, and then to essence drain their still warm corpse to show them that not only were they victims of my wrath in the living world, even in death they failed to the escape my fury

    thats crazy! this power should be grabbed as soon as its available, with it you can put stamina off a few levels
  16. while i didnt go nova form and just had human/dwarf i found that inky aspect teamed with gravimetric emination was enough to disorient the whole mob group in what was effectively 1 move and then run forward. that was pretty team strong as it allowed the rest of the team to just take the group apart without taking a hit

    side effect was if it missed a lot of the group you were all of a sudden in a serious amount of bother but it certainly was knife edge fun.

    later once i had mire fully slotted in human / dwarf plus eclipse etc was ready i found i only really put inky aspect and shadow cloak back on when moving thru the forms, took too long otherwise.

  18. i got this working on my warshade to have lshift and lbutton shadow step or dwarf step dependant on form.

    however if i zoned after using the bind the one that i shifted from last was stuck and the actual macro to change trays was trucated.

    i worked it with having a human and dwarf.txt bind files, a macro would swap trays and call the bind txt file which would include the teleport bind.
  19. its a challenge to be tauntless and still be good.

    for me i'd already done 74 levels of taunt tanking before i decided to stop and drop taunt on Max Thunder, why? taunting was dull and slow (thus not a challenge) and i couldnt face going thru another 18 levels taunting.

    in fact its taken another two characters to 50 and another 6 characters into the 30s to make me go back to taunt tanking it was so mind numbingly boring the first times round.

    You can be tank without taunt, it does require a side shift in gear to do it, its just unfortunate that tehre is such a negative stigma attached to tauntless tanking that it makes the build less viable due to player prejudice.

    That said, i think I7 and changes to taunt, AV's and threat level has shafted tauntless tanking thru the high levels. This is unfortunate as it decreases diversity and increases the mind numbing sameyness of the 40-50 as all tanks are peer pressured and game pressured into conforming to what didnt used to be a requirement.

    this fact i see as being more depressing than anything else in the tanking world.

  22. i found on the warshade the scream/howl was really well fitting, i like it, it'll be a shame when they remove it.
