    This is what i ahve so far. Sorry it took so long to post the build, couldn't log in earlier due to the maintance and just forgot about it. It is pretty good i think. Not anywhere close to softcap but i didn't gimp myself in recharge or anything like that. I think i still need stamina because all the toggles plus 2 damage auras is very end heavy.

    I want to make a spines/elec aoe machine when GR comes out. I want to softcap the defense if possible. I have a build ive been toying with but cant get anywhere close. Can someone steer me in the right direction as far as what sets to use and so forth. Since it's spines, you dont have anywhere to use kinetic combats really so i am kinda lost.
  3. I do a complete remapping of my powers. I use 1-5 numbers then i use basically any button that is close to teh WSAD keys. I always have Q, E, R (i move auto run), T, C, F, Z, X, and `. Some of the keys i use less frequently i will put as ctrl + key. It sometimes gets confusing but once you get used to it you got it. I use some buttons on my mouse as well but one is for vent and the other is used depending on the character.
  4. i have a fire/dark at 25 and a fire/kin at 41. Like you said fire/kin is very busy. But you only need a few attacks, fireball, rof, and blaze to mop everythign up. My fire/dark is only 25 like i said but i love it. Only 2 debuffs to apply so you can get right to the killin'. Another secondary that you may want to try is /rad. I have a rad/rad at 34 that is alot of fun, only lacking fire power. Paired with fire it would be awesome, and everyone loves a /rad. Their debuffs are amazing and you get AM to help the team.
  5. Ok, thanks for all the advice. I saw one comment saying to go for hover to leverage range defense. I am not really close to the cap there, i did not build for that but am about at 30 s/l def. So combat jumping and SS? is that pretty ok?

  7. ahh that is a very good point, i had completely forgotten about that set's KB protection. Ok one more question while im at it. I have TP as a travel and I want CJ for the immob protection, should i take SS or SJ? I was thinking SJ but i have vertical mobility with TP so now im thinking for SS since i can stack stealths.
  8. I do not reall yhave a big end problem that i can tell so far so i will probably just keep with mace.

    I have no knockback protection and have 170% global recharge so one LoTG i wont miss to much, hasten will be down for like 5 seconds so I will prob take the KB protection. Thanks for your input
  9. First question, why do people not take Mu mastry on a corr? I never have but i was looking at it and power sink and conserve power could be very nice. Was just wondering what peoples thoughts were on it?

    Also, I am leveling a fire/dark and was wondering if 4 points of knockback protection will make a big difference? I do not want to sacrafice any of my +recharge so only want to get rid of one LoTG IOs. Thoughts? Opinions?
  10. I was teamed with a fire/storm last night on my fire/dark and we did awesome. All the drops storms do well. Basically what makes fire/cold good is sleet+rof, with storm you get it at 16 instead of 35. But the other debuffs from cold are pretty awesome but are only single target excluding heatloss.

    Alright this is my opinion you are entitled to your own. I am also leveling a fire/dark and I concentrated a bit more on AoE (taking Fire breath instead of flares also have aim) but I think i have a really good build so i will recommend on how i did it.

    I agree with Fitz, drop stealth. It is a wasted power seeing that you can not use it with shadow fall and shadow fall does more for you. You are probably just usuing it to get the LotG recharge but even with out it, hasten will be down for like a second before being up again.

    Your patron powers: Unless you just really want hibernate, i would take mace for the def shield. I like the defense simply because you have low HP, so even if you are getting hit for less, you are not a brute and do not have tons of HP for it to dwindle down.

    Last thing i can think of to mention. Your endurance usage is a tid bit high imo. My drain with DN, CJ, Shadow Fall, and my sheild running is still under 1 /s. Just something to think about. Like Fitz said, add some slots to ShadowFall and get some EndRed in there.

    you take boxing because weave gives you more def than maneuvers and ou get + resistance from tough which you can not get. Not to mention both of the toggles from fighting are cheaper to run than the ones from leadership. Auto toggle boxing to help build fury. And if you ahve the slots you can 4 slot it with kinetic combats to get more def...a brute with leadership is pointless imo
  14. recharge on sleet does not really "need" to be maxed out. A little recharge is good but even with no recharge it is up for pretty much every spawn. I have a lvl 47 dark/cold corr and it is very nice. On teams you are kind of support due to the dots. Tentecals provides good control when fightings large groups and night fall as a follower, that is basically what i spam after using sleet as my opener.

    I have to ask, why do you have combat jumping and hoover?

    One last question, i didn't take shockwave in my build. Is the a typical claws build?

    the survivability is relatively the same, damage aside? I know you do not have the AOE knockdown from footstomp but you still have the same secondary powers. I have just been toying with a claws/wp build and a ss/wp and just want to roll one, you see claws less often is why i am leaning towards it. (i used to be a one toon guy, recently i have become an altaholic)

  20. So i decided i want to take soul on my SS/ElA so i can get gloom. I think i want to get gloom and DN but i run into a slight problem with IOs. Here is my question, would i be better off settling for 34 s/l def. and taking DN, or should i take tentecals and get to 37 def? I like the way the 37 looks on paper, but having a debuff toggle will come in handy against AVs and such. Thoughts, suggestions?

    I have not really got to play my fire/dark much, does it team well? I have a rad/rad that makes missions a ton easier it seems and any /thermal (except the one i was playing with last night that only had warmth, HE, and melt armor) makes teaming much easier. I also just respeced my dark/cold for a pve build and took all the shields and frostworks and it seems to bring alot to the table as far as some buffing and major debuffs go.

    So I am just wondering what people think is the best all around corruptor for PvE, or which brings the most to the team. I know /kins and /therms bring alot to a team as well as /rad. I have read alot about how much of a spawn killer fire/dark is (i just rolled one in fact). Anyway, just wondering what everyones opinion on what the best pair is for PvE.
