Success! First try I was doing well but was a failure when my anchor's computer shut down which booted me from the task force. But the second attempt was one hundred percent successful. Took me a little longer but I wanted to make sure I did it right.

Well I've never run fire/ on a dom but I have on a controller and I have a Plant/Psi/Fire Dom. I will tell you my fire kills quicker on the controller, but I also have kin backing it up, but that said, my plant/psi/fire can lay waste to the bad guys. Seeds, Roots, Creepers, Psychic Shockwave, Fireball, and Rain of Fire does some serious pain to the enemies...

Also Healing Flames is not slotted well. Heals in there....

Okay... Where to start then...
You want to build for Fire Defense not S/L... You will want to fight fire enemies because that's where you have the best resistance. You can also drop Fighting if you are strictly AE.
Hasten needs more slots. The more it's up, the more your other powers(AoE's) are.
Fire Ball... Give it some love, it is one of your 3 AoE attacks. 5 Posi's will do.
You don't need that many slots in CJ, or any of your other defense powers. I usually three slot them at most.
Change Rage's slotting to 5 Adjusted Targeting's.
Slot the FF +recharge proc in footstomp instead of acc/rec. It fires a lot when you're surrounded by enemies.
You're not getting much out of a 5th Kinetic Combat... In fact if it is all AE farming for this guy I would switch out most of them for the taunt set.
Blazing Aura could use end redux. Oblit's are terrible for it and it will catch up to you if you don't have any end redux in it.
Health and Stamina could both drop slots. Mine are both 2 slotted with Numina/Miracle proc and 2 Perf Shifter's. End Mod and +end. Start there and let me see what you come up with. -
Forgot to ask, is this to level other toons or for influence?

I personally use the phantoms for the Adrenaline Boost they provide. Don't remember the exact one off the top of my head though.

Why don't I see more about this combo? It looks powerful to me on paper.

I don't have a ton of experience with any of them but I do have a /DA at 42. I'd recommend skipping Cloak of Fear. Low Mag, high end cost, and not very good accuracy. The rest of /DA is worth taking. Maybe skip Cloak of Darkness if you don't intend to slot for defense. Also I believe the best DM chain is Smite, MG, Smite, Siphon Life. That requires some recharge though and I may be wrong. Hope this helped a little at least...

I said I farm with my AR Device.
I said I don't think that DP / MM can cover what is needed with the set bonuses without using the kludge of vengeance.
If you have such a build by all means post it. I played around with several builds around MM and I could not find one that fit in well without not having vengeance.

Spelling mistakes -
So I was looking at making a SS/Fire general play build. I wanted to cap S/L Def but found it difficult without sacrificing too much recharge or proper slotting on powers. I was hoping to get my NRG/Neg Def slightly higher at least to 20 so just 2 purple inspirations could cap my defenses.
I have seen impressive feats such as soloing the MoITF, think this build could do it? Of course that is not all I'd like to be able to do but its a start.
So what do you all think?
As I'm sure you can tell, money is not a huge issue as the enhancements I can't afford I am willing to put time into raising the money for.

Few things I can see right off the bat. You slotted 6 of the 5% recharge bonus. Personally I would either swap out the set in tough for 3 from titanium coating, or remove obliteration from hot feet and frankenslot that. For end/damage/procs. My personal preference for slotting is not cheap but is as follows: Arm: dmg/end, Arm: %dmg, Eradication %dmg, Oblit %dmg, Scir %dmg, and Fury of the glad: chance for -res. You'll notice that doesn't have much damage slotting but with fulcrum the procs will allow you to do a larger amount of damage.
Another thing is you have a net gain of .28 end/sec. Now I'm not great at crunching numbers and transference is really good, but you will blow through end really quick. Also the more time you spend using transference is time you aren't using FS, Fissure, FC or SS.
Here is my build. Its more expensive than you or most are probably willing to spend on a farm build but mine does pretty well at things outside of the farms as well. Hoperfully it can help you get some ideas.

Thanks guys this has been extremely helpful. I'm still not positive what I want to do but I think I'm leaning Defender. Also I know nothing about Sonic Blast. Anyone have any pointers. I feel I don't see many builds with shout and I thought that would be a sure grab at first glance.

Hey guys. So I made a claws/dark brute not too long ago and he's level 35 already. He seems a little squishy at times but for the most part he is very powerful. Anyways as I increase in level I begin to think of what I want to do with my character.
I am looking to have a build that will fair well against regular game content. I got a lot of the slotting in my build from I believe Dechs' build? Anyways I am looking to have capped def to the 4 main damage types with just one purple while also having plenty of recharge.
So tell me what you think and where I can improve as I have not taken either of these powersets above level 10 before this character.

Hey guys I'm having trouble choosing my next character I am planning to make. The current choices I have in mind are Claws/Invuln and Dual Blades/Invuln. I am looking to make a character than can mow mobs down without sacrificing survivability.
With that said my biggest questions are...
Which primary will provide that killing instinct I am looking for?
Should I roll as a brute or scrapper and why?
Also combos do not bother me if that is an influence in the decision for primaries.
