"0.00 run speed for 10.00s on target Ignores buffs and enhancements unresistable"
I just noticed this at the bottom of Spectral Wounds' combat attributes, but I was just fighting even and +1 Freakshow minions who had no problem fleeing, so, is this just an overlap from a PvP effect, or am I misunderstanding how this is supposed to work? -

The Chinese government, however, appears to be uninterested in regulating sales of in-game items for real cash. A report in the English-language China Daily says that in-game gear is not considered virtual currency, so selling virtual items can be expected to continue.

Yargh.
Edit: And I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment of this thread. It was a *lot* worse back in WoW before Blizzard started cracking down (including the addition of the "Ignore Spammer" function), but I still get tired of logging onto an alt I haven't played for a few days, only to have to go through thirty emails from the same three or four spammers.
Second edit: And I need to get my reading glasses on >_> I swear I thought that said "in-game gold". But now that I've re-read that, Wheee ^.^
It's just a drop in the bucket, true, but it's a start. -
That was my initial thought as well - better for a Rad/Elec or Dark/Elec defender who can really leverage the extra -recov, but I wanted to be sure I wasn't missing anything obvious before I get rid of it
Going rate's about 100k at most, 5k at the bottom end when I checked, so I'll toss it up for a bit more than vendor value.
I really can't spare the slots for anything less than "OMGAWESOME!" right now anyway -
Actually, it's Deflated Ego: Chance for Recovery Debuff (-25.0%), but title space being what it is... Anyway, I just had this drop for my baby Ill/Rad, but I have zero experience with procs in toggles.
Should I hang onto it for when I have a spare slot in RI, drop it on the market, or vendor?
Thanks -
As someone who's been sniped by those gorramed pylons on a number of occasions when crossing RWZ, I wholeheartedly approve of this message.
DEATH TO THE PYLONS!
Oh, and congrats. Even if it has "been done", that's still awesome, especially on a blaster (Had my butt handed to me on my scrapper trying to solo one of those once, on a "How tough could they possibly be?" whim >_>) -

The North American live servers will be taken down momentarily to deploy a hotfix that will address some map crashing issues.
Estimated maintenance duration: 2 hours from 12:30PM Pacific Time to 2:30PM Pacific Time.
We apologize for the last minute warning and hope that this disruption will have a minimal impact on your game experience today!

O.o Wow. I didn't even know about that one. Ah well. Guess I'm off to work on AE plots. -

I'm extremely psyched, actually. The trouble is, we've been told for so long that this was too much work/couldn't happen (Even just basic recoloring was supposedly too much manpower), that I stopped thinking about "What if X were recolored as Y?" ages ago. It's literally going to take a complete shift in mindset for me after five years.
That said, I love the Gem armor idea. That one never even occured to me. I also just started a new Ill/Rad 'troller, an homage in spirit (Inspired by) Project Alice of the Resident Evil universe. Nothing like her in personality or anything, but it would be great to unify Illusion and Radiation's color scheme to something definitively psychic, preferably more subdued than bright-[censored] neon green on the latter -
(QR)
Cotton Candy Melee/Armor/Blast/Manipulation (Pink "Dark" powersets) are about as far as I've gotten.
Admittedly I'm wondering how well a blueish Radiation Emission would pass for Water Manipulation though (the trouble being Rad's toggles aren't "just" green, so we'll have to see how that affects the multiple-color style of some powers). -
[ QUOTE ]
Where's the source of that info? Havent seen definitive proof that we're getting color customization...

Hee. I said the exact same thing, almost word for word, when I saw a similar thread this morning. Needless to say I went scampering straight for Dev Digest as fast as my connection would allow. This was literally one of those "Snuck in under the radar" out of nowhere things.
As to the question,
On my Ice blaster I'll probably leave her powers be. My Archery/Energy is at *least* getting new pom-poms (Green if I can, to match her "powered up" costume), and green Build-Up/Aim if I can change those.
Oh, and I'll be reviving my D3, as someone on the official thread had a brilliant idea of tinting Dark's powers red to make a Blood Mage.
Oh, and I'm thinking about remaking my fire/dev blaster on live (I still have a copy of her on test) from when I first started playing, *just* so I can have the purple fireball I always wanted. -

My only change would be to make it possible to cancel detention field. I'd use it (who am I kidding, I'd pick it for my team build) if it wasn't a guaranteed team slowdown 99% of the time. Soloing it's decent. Teaming it's a big "[censored] you, bubbler!" every time. Even as a bubbler myself, when I play other characters, I hate it when people use powers that make the mobs untouchable. I'd love it if it could be dropped at will. Make it an expensive toggle. Change the fundamental mechanics of the game so we can cancel click buffs and debuffs (yeah, right
).
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, there's another option for which the tech already exists in Phase Shift. A timed toggle, where after the current duration passes, it automatically detoggles, *or* you can detoggle it early yourself.
The base functionality of the power would stay the same, you'd just be able to switch it off early and not have your scrapper wasting half an end bar (I have enough trouble remembering to rebubble when two-boxing with my fire scrapper and Ice/FFer)
... Actually, I'd like to see this in Dark's phasing too. And Gravity's... Nyaha. Ohhh Caaastle...
[/ QUOTE ]
This has been suggested many times by many, many posters in the past, myself included. Seems like a no-brainer to fix these god awful powers, but I'm guessing it's pretty low on the priority list right now.
[/ QUOTE ]
Stupid modem >_> Now then!
I kinda figured this was a long-time suggestion. The sad part is I actually tend to forget these phasing powers even exist, which is why it never occured to me before.
When I'm building a Dark/ or Grav/ character, they're the one thing I just immediately take for granted as something I can skip and not regret, especially on a tight build.
Not to say that they're useless, but they're just so situational to my playstyle that I literally don't even think about them anymore. -

And the powersets that have won are...
Ice Control / Sonic Resonance!
So I'm a Technology Ice/Sonics Cotroller! Interesting. never made one before, but I like both sets. Hopefully it won't suck.

Should completely rock teams. The only foreseeable problem is if some other knucklehead on the team starts spamming an AoE immob, killing Ice Slick's mitigation.

Air Superiority on a Super Strength tank is ridiculous fun. Basically alternate between AS and ... I *think* it's Haymaker, but I haven't played SS in ages. You've suddenly got a way to reliably keep a dangerous enemy out of the fight pre-SOs, when most tanker defenses haven't "matured" yet. -

Hey, muchos grats
I don't care what anyone says, it takes some dedication to have multiple 50s (Speaking as someone lacking said dedication)

*cracks up* Uh, wow. You're either completely braindead, or a terrible forum troll.
Probably both. -

I'm in pretty much the same situation right now. I've been playing a couple of /dark Masterminds (I love Dark Miasma) and now find myself extremely nostalgic for my old DDC, although this time around I find myself leaning toward more damage than Dark Blast provided - Fire and Ice.
I'm guessing both are better for massive Tar Patch AoEing than Dark/ was, though I am curious - how's the survivability 40+, when the game goes into "A notch above insane" mode (I'm looking at you, Arachnos, Longbow...)? -

It happens. Targets generally die so fast that I don't pay attention to which particular enemy has a toggle on it.
[/ QUOTE ]
As a toggle debuff user, if this happens to me or if I just plain lose track of my toggle anchor, well... I just quietly detoggle that sucker and if a whole crowd shows up, I yell "Ambush!".
[/ QUOTE ]
HAH! That was one nice thing about the old Darkest Night, before it became "Darker than the blackest pit of Hell" more visibly dark, versus Rad's Christmas in Queens
Also one of the reasons I like Sonic's anchor toggle. If the anchor runs off, he only gets himself roasted. -

Maybe you could get confront/provoke, to try to keep the mobs on you, while using bodyguard mode.
[/ QUOTE ]
I used to laugh at MMs who took provoke >_> Now that I'm back and playing an MM again, I'm starting to realize just how brilliant an idea this really is.
Even though I don't plan on tankerminding specifically, just having it to keep the suicidal henchmen from being clobbered would be a big help, at least for me (Don't have it yet on either of mine, but planning on getting it on my Bots/ soon)
... and I swear I think someone installed Windows ME on one of my prot bots when I wasn't looking. -

Not everybody lives their lives according to what mythology dictates.
[/ QUOTE ] They've done it before ... waaaaaay back at the start. Gravity used to have no pet power. They removed a team recall power called fold space if I remember correctly and replaced it with Singularity.
Which is both a good thing and a huge shame, as I really wanted that power on my grav/FF controller.
[/ QUOTE ]
The closest we've seen semi-recently was Moment of Glory. Rather than a long term Tier 9 that in all but three cases made you easier to kill, it's now basically a defensive Build Up that gives you a moment of being really tough to kill. It actually became a Moment of Glory.

I picked up MoG on my /Regen scrapper back in... I5? Somewhere between I5 and I7 anyway. For purely testing purposes and to get used to using it, I fought an even con boss. I was summarily mudhole-stomped and swore I'd never touch it again
/random, completely pointless anecdote.
Oh, and Furyfiance is another example, although not a true "power" in the original sense of the rule. Defiance used to require you to nearly get yourself killed to be of any use. Great for fireball-happy Fire blasters, wasn't so great for Ice. -
(QR)
Ah, -that- explains it.
Also, to actually contribute, I've been doing exactly what Ditzy Blonde suggested with one of my villains. Right now between the first two mayhems and a mission from Marshall Brass she has two jetpacks and a jump pack.
At 22 she's still good for another 2 hours or so of flight time, with the full jump jet's timer to go, which made Leadership an easy pick. Ironically I originally was going that route since I planned to try leveling purely through AE, but that lasted 'till about level 10... -

Hell. Yes.
I have two MMs I'm working on right now, and I'd put them both on hold immediately for a Zombie/Thermal (How bad-[censored] would a Lich on fire be? Answer: Very.)
Heck, I'd be sorely tempted to reroll my Thugs/Dark as a /thermal, but the Necro/Therm is the first thing I'm going to do if it gets proliferated. -

Even though the "Sonic causes migraines" thing was very much rooted in fact, even long after it was fixed I had to scrap my attempt at a team defender in my Sonic/* because I simply could not get teams, and soloing was laughably bad (This was before dual-builds).
The one team I did manage to get on, I was quickly kicked to make room for an emp >_> -
O.o
Okay, granted I haven't even looked at the Dom board in a really, really long time (Read: My second character was a Dominator after CoV came out, but I couldn't get into the playstyle), but wasn't Energy FoTM for awhile back then? What happened?
Not that I'm not appreciative of the warning myself. I'm about to make a new Dom based on a great costume idea from the Magic pack and Energy was on the list of possible secondaries, so I'm mostly just morbidly curious
