For the record, I did too. Although, I wasn't in the best frame of minds while watching it due to the slogging back and forth through Oranbega for what I thought was a bad plan. Remove that aspect from it and take the ending on its own and I liked it (overly dramatic comicbook scenario accepted and enjoyed for what it is). I thought the cutscene was done very well and that is something me gusta.

Even if it is exactly what I didn't want to hear...
    I still appreciate getting word.

I understand if you can't really get further into it, but I shall ask anyway...
Is this mainly a situation where the issue has been raised and whether or not anything ever changes about it is just up to someone else somewhere and who knows when that might be, if ever?

It's nothing to quit in a huff about or anything (although, I will be rather miffed if tier 9 rewards get rotated out before I get enough tokens for them - which I'd have if prepaid time counted). I'm just curious if it is anything anyone can light a fire about to make it any more likely to happen. And, if so, if the fire is being kept lit, big and bright.
  3. Hrm... I'd say run it just for curiosity's sake, because it won't kill you (Aeon hasn't figured out how to do that yet).

I'd say that seeing Penelope in action might be a reason to run it, but you may not like the new Penelope, so that might be another strike against it.

While a lot of the negative criticisms about this chapter are true... It's also not that bad. If the ending is actually not quite fully revealed yet, perhaps the ending is not quite as bad as we suspect (still a dumb plan that ends up being tedious - and poorly executed - and ending in personal drama you couldn't prevent, but... that sounds a lot like life when I let others run the show too).

  4. I know, before Freedom launched, they wanted to reward prepaid subscriptions with the Reward Tokens upfront.
And then, it turned out, that they couldn't accomplish that (likely due to it being an issue with the billing/account programming whatever that seems to be a pain with a lot of things that could be smoother for subscribers and is seemingly out of the control of P.S.).
I know they said they'd like to do it and they'd try... And I am pretty sure it is a situation that frustrates Zwill and the team, but I would just appreciate some word about it again, even if it is "no news" (maybe I've missed comment about this too... Such as on a ustream or something).

I am just asking if we can get any word about it as to whether there is any progress in that department, if it is basically a dead end or what.
  5. It's definitely a question worth asking oneself and the answer is not so quick and simple for everyone, based on their preferences and such (no duh, E-K).

I think my biggest complaint right now is not getting the Reward Tokens for prepaid time. It's not entirely related to the VIP or Premium debate... but it is one aspect of disappointment as a VIP that makes me not really feel like a "VIP".

The thing is, this is because I'm still shy of Tier 9. I'm not going to put enough money into the market just to get all those reward tokens, but I'd put it into my subscription.

I also would like to see a discount for VIPs, but I am not convinced they should do that... I just don't feel great about being a VIP as things stand right now. I think I prefer it to being Premium, but not by much.
  6. VIP!
And yeah, I was just messing with editing these files to create a guy doing that MOV with the guns out... and it's not been working. Even though the original one that I took did work.
    Bah...
If it works for you... try going in and doing the ALAKAZAMREACT emote, hit the guns while as the object and see if you can get something from it.

You are right... the beast is sometimes fickle...
Either that or I am missing something, hehe...

Anyway, was just patrolling and putting off doing something afk and saw your post. I know how it gets trying to finish up a project, so I figured I'd try and save you a few brain cells, hehe.

Fxdestroy is going to be listed between the weapons draw and the emote. ONce FXdestroy is removed all emotes will work with weapons drawn.

If that don't make sense I can go into more detail.
Yep, that looks about right. I didn't realize/remember that the pistols work off of FX commands, to be honest.
That could make life a bit easier, eh?
  8. Hmmm... best I could find was this:

I did the Alakazamreact and hit the pistols and the character very briefly does a bit of that move while holding the pistols out...
However, there was no special MOV command for it...
Just the MOV and then it had a string for the pistols in FX commands.

Oops... missed that... Hrm, sorry... I might be able to find that one, hang on.
  10. MOV DANGER_SENSE 0

That should be it, if memory serves me well enough!

    Best of luck finishing up!!

Cool and yes, I totally agree about that as well! The US's The Ring was not bad at all (though, I also agree that the Japanese original was better).

I just want to state my strong opinion that the Japanese one is a great flick, but the US's remake is not anywhere close and, at least, should be saved for after watching the real one.

Just my opinion, but I wanted to mention that in my reply when I suggested Ju-On.
I highly recommend Ju-On, but I don't recommend The Grudge at all.

Agreed. It has a dark psychological aspect to it, along with the subject matter and the dark cinematography, that puts it somewhat on the border. At least, for the OP's case. Especially since he said he likes "thinking-man movies". Those are just the reasons that led me to mention it. I do understand and basically agree.

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, but Staff Fighting will also be pay for.

  18. I completely understand the sentiment and I can't say that I disagree with it, but they've chosen this business model and I've come to accept it and understand how they will go about these things pretty accurately now.

The good thing is that you can use the points per month that you get from being a VIP.
I know it's not the same, but it is something on the positive side.

From their business side of it... It could be that Animal Henchmen never would have happened without the added revenue from the new business model. Just some more positive slants to chew on.
  19. I just wanted to recommend this thread about the subject of BM secondaries. A number of these threads have popped up, and I enjoyed reading through some good replies in that particular one.

I'm still completely undecided, myself, hehe (concept always rules it for me though).
  20. I've seen a few of these threads starting and I found this thread to have some really good suggestions, ideas and discussions!
    Happy hunting!
  21. Hrm... they're too well-trained to not scratch at the door!!
  22. I'm really pleased to see Animal Henchmen for Master Minds become a reality in City Of Heroes! It's been something long dreamed about by players (and developers alike, I'm sure). And it is no small thing to achieve such things, so I just feel like making sure it is acknowledged... Congratulations on another notch for making ideas come alive.
  23. Eh, I say, keep the canines coming... just keep a bunch of other stuff coming as well.

I have zero problem with them adding in a ton of canine options (and, hopefully very soon a lot more feline stuff, beyond the Panther and Lion that we know about). They are making up ground for the game being devoid of such things.
Now, all that being said... I, personally, do not really like the wolf being used as the Dark Control Pet and I'm not a fan of the three wolves plus Dire Wolf for Beast Mastery.
It's not because I don't like them adding in a bunch of wolf stuff right now. It's just that I find those particular choices to not be pleasing to my preferences.

Still... I don't want to see any stop to more dog stuff until we have a bigger variety of choices. There should be travel powers and vanity pets of each and every type that you can think of and make with the existing skeleton and tools at their disposal.
Honestly... I think a big pack full of all the possible canine options for both vanity pets and for travel powers would be superb.

If we only end up with the one canine travel power (coyote) and the one pet (German Shepherd... lalala black wolf pet hidden behind ridiculous odds of acquirement), I'll be rather disappointed.

    Thems my thoughts.

Hmm... Is Stir Of Echoes out of the too gory character? There's some disturbing violence in one scene, but it's not splatter blood axe through face type of thing...

    And how about The Others?

I enjoyed both of those movies. And will still put one on when wanting something spooky.
