But any showdown with Tyrant totally has to have us standing outside the window of his tower, with the text option of "Emperor, would you care to step outside?"Quote:Also valid:
"Tyrant! We would have words with thee!"
"We're selling these fine leather jackets."
"Open up or we'll huff, and we'll puff, and we'll blow the tower down!"
"Hey, just between us, Cole, what ARE you compensating for with that tower?"
"Spiderling scout cookies!"
"No seriously, you have a gigantic tower and a statue of yourself outside the door. That just screams 'insecure'."

Put a small nick in the deficit!
Hehe... Convert to Prestige for a few different bases...
And start coming up with lots of different ways to give it to other players who'd use it on things other than costume changes! -
84 months??
I hit it long before 84 months...
(sorry!) -
Quote:Haha, how about just a, "Wait-Wha??"?I love this idea...more so if it made NPCs automatically say "OMGWTF! They're still alive!?"
But I don't think the fear effect needs to be as strong as the stun in Soul Transfer. that's a mag 30 Stun.
I'd be happy with a mag 5 or 6 Fear effect. Just enough to effect Bosses and below.
I definitely understand the wish. I think just a touch of Moment of Glory upon res-ing would work. I usually try and hit that, as a Regen-er, if I think I'll be in trouble. Of course, that's only IF it is recharged.
I know my wife (who's main is a Kat/Regen Scrapper) is behind this idea though, so, I'll sign it for the both of us! -
...
And the NUMBER ONE thing to NOT DO on a iTRIAL...
Refer to it as an iTRIAL!
(hehe, good list, Charnage, I agree!) -
Totally there with ya, Sam.
As soon as I saw it posted on the Test patch notes, I had to post a "yay!".
And, while I am very glad to see this arrive, the flat boots option was really a fix in my book and not an addition, per se.
Sure, they could have just left it, but it was obvious from the beginning that this should have been included at release. The smooth boot option is a bit weird.
However, the tail is an addition, so I can't entirely take that stance or anything.
It is appreciated.
I wish they would have communicated with us back then though, as the lack of a flat boot option for Animal Fur was just so odd and so much feedback along those lines was given. Noble Savage had been communicating to us pretty steadily and something like that happens and we never heard BOO.
Still... as you said, I feel the same in not wanting to sound ungrateful or whatever. It's just, obvious issues with a paid-for-pack and zero communication on just about 100% of the feedback mentioning that one issue was poorly handled, in my opinion.
All's well that ends well though. And, no, none of this is a big deal. Just offering my honest thoughts on it as respectfully as I can.
I'll be honest, the one other issue that I thought they might add in as well was a tiny bit of color/pattern options for wolf heads.
That and, as you said, the animal and/or monster fur options for Large Boots and Gloves (and possibly others).
Many ideas have struck me for such options, if we had them.
Anyway... I am definitely glad that the flat boot options finally came through. And the tail was a nice bonus (maybe a thanks and sorry for messing up a little bit, hehe). -
Quote:That's exactly what I was thinking. You could always put a window limit in place so that you can form pacts at any level but only if all characters involved are within, say, 5 levels of each other.
Would be nice to be able to pact up existing level 29 (or whatever) characters.
I have to admit that my friend and I got beyond level 6 a few times before we realized, "We forgot to level pact!" hahaNot that this is cause for me complaining (we're just sillyheads).
However, I still think it'd be great if they'd remove the level limit (and keep a level difference window restriction, if need be). -
And here I was hoping that, at least, he may not have actually sold any or anything...
Nice work in tracking this down and notifying the different parties, people!
Gah... making money off of stolen art... GAH!!!!!!!!!!! -
Yeah, it can be difficult to just happen to be in the same place as others at any given time.
However, joining the right global channels makes it unnecessary and makes finding people pretty easy.
Try joining:
Virtue LFG Beta
Virtue TFs
Virtue TFs 2010 (yeah, I'm pretty sure that's current, despite the date in the name!)
Easiest way is to pop in on your server's forum and look, search and/or ASK for the popular global channels for teaming and whatnot. -
... 'n all da rong gamz?
And thanks for the laughs, everyone (and NY Times, haha). -
LMAO
I'll focus on the "too much" part of the question and leave out the fact that I love all my awesome electric/electric/electric blaster powers... because my love for them is not too much!
However...
Bile Spray
...Assault Bot...
Foot Stomp
Knockout Blow
Propel
And... I have to admit... I really love the occasional Jumpkick!!
(And that one hits the too much part right on the head!) -
And suddenly Backfire's forum name takes on new meaning...
-
Hey, just wanted to pop in and say...
I lurked in the thread(s) about last year's event and enjoyed that while wishing I had been there!
And, Kal, you're a gem for putting these together!!
I'm in the states and I doubt that I'll be able to make it, but I just wanted to wish everybody another great time over there... And I'll be lurking and watching again... So, do post videos of particular persons behaving in silly manners...

Animal Pack
- Animal Fur texture is now available for Flat feet.
- On Cat Claw feet, the claws themselves no longer inherit a color tinting.
- A tintable striped version of the Animal Cat tail has been added as "Animated - Cat Tail 2".
Other
- Monstrous Fur texture is now available for Flat feet.
Thank you! -
Quote:Haha, well saidThere's nothing snail-paced about it. In fact, there's nothing paced about it, it moves about as fast on its feet as Michelangelo's David.
(Yes, "disillusioned" doesn't even begin to cover how I feel about this; it'd be like the New York Times claiming in the headlines that they were "disillusioned" about the Titanic because it sank).
And yeah... -

Quote:Ah, I hadn't actually heard that they do drop from Dev Choices.Yes, choosing "standard rewards" on a Dev Choice arc will drop shards - it has been confirmed on the AE boards. The problem is there aren't enough Dev Choice arcs. And for Sam's specific situation, there's only 2 - 4 villainous arcs, and some of them might not be that great if they're some of the first ones awarded.
Now if they would actually award *new" Dev Choice arcs on any sort of regular schedule, that would be a different thing altogether. But it seems like "fat chance" on that front.
That is indeed cool... except for the whole extraordinarily limited selection of Dev Choices and snail-paced addition of others.
Even still, being locked to Dev Choice Only options eliminates much of the fun that the AE can deliver.
Say you and your super team are based on a concept that spend their time fighting the Super Secret Ninja Syndicate, working through the ranks of the SSNS agents, all the way up to the top (through a long journey from 1 to 50) to finally fight the main boss behind it all.
The AE should be about enabling that sort of comicbook feel, completely tailor made to player creativity...
Sadly, there is no way, at all, to have every weekly AE mission become a Dev Choice, just so that the rewards can be normal (although, yeah, only post-50 really suffers from this).
Anyway...
My apologies for the hijack, Sam!
Here's your thread back!
*hands over Sam's thread, minus a few cookies and with a few bent corners and a stain on the protective plastic wrap* -
Reminds me, once again, that it would sure be great if they could come up with a way to allow user-made arcs to contribute to the shard dropping/earning (without making it any sort of fast track).
What was supposed to be an endless sea of content, has been hit again by no longer allowing level 50s to earn the same sort of rewards they could from other content.
Anyway...
The answer to your dilemma, for me, has always been role-playing.
I just enjoy logging on a character and being inside their head... no matter what game content may or may not be available.
While it can still be enjoyable solo... having others to engage in such things is also a great part of it.
Anyway, it's not for every body! -
Welcome back, LJ!
I'll try and join up in some of the fun and not be such a stranger to my art forum kin!
Also... in reply from the other thread... Thanks CR and LJ... proper webpage now bookmarked! -

Hey, great to see you posting here!
I always love your stuff!
Despite, as you've mentioned, your shift towards a bit of a different style, it still looks like YOUR stuff to me (I mean that in the best way possible)!
I love it.
The painted feel definitely goes well with your overall style, as it always had a great foundation/similarity to the old Parkinson-esk quality D&D artwork.
I need to swing over to Deviant and follow you (I rarely ever log in over there!!).
(Hope the above made some sense, haha... typing this as I'm rushing out the door!!)
