In less than 3 hours the EU test of the new incarnate trial will be on the beta server . . . . will they fix it so the [old] EU servers can have their characters copied over so we can take part in it in time . . . . . .

On the beta server server will be the first test run [of open beta] of the new incarnate trial in i20.5, starting at 7pm BST TONIGHT so please make sure you are there with your level 50s to take part [as of writing this the EU copy tool is down but they said it'll hopefully be up before tonight].

If you are unsure how to install the beta server [since if you were EU you used just the normal test server] then it is as follows.

I was one of those people in Atlas1 from 9pmBST until just gone midnight with a few other Union players and i had a blast!

Sometimes its fun just to get together and chat!

Even though we technically didnt do anything except talk . . . . i really enjoyed myself

Anytime i see a BAF running and im free i do try and join one, however my attention span [could it be called that?] is such a degree that i cant do anything that requires a lengthy amount of time or multiple runs of trials [the 3 trials i did with you yesterday took a LOT of effort from me really].

After running both now on union heres my opinion.

MO Run: Better for drops [more rare recipes!] + ixp imo if the leader coordinates correctly.

TC Run: Better for a quick finish [half the time i think] if you want merits/super inspirations.

So i'll be joining both depending on which at the time i require/want

Do agree in that i hate it when only 1 team gets to deal with the adds but USUALLY they get at least 1/2 players from each team over to the adds so its evenly spread out.

Of the BAFS i have done lately what we've done is as followed.

Team 1: Nightstar
Team 1: Bottom two of team 1 go to adds
Team 2: Top 3 go to nightstar, bottom 3 go to siege, 2 left go to adds.
Team 3: Siege
Team 3: Bottom 2 go to adds.

Of course if the team leader wants to chose differently who goes where for their team then thats fair but seems to have worked so far.

Personally i dont like the tennis courts tactics [seen it used on defiant too] and much prefer the current MO runs we do all the time, all it needs is a slight tweak to make it perfect for all imo.

Look for somebody who has been on the server a while and ask them what method that server uses for team finding/taskforces.

Before the server list merge happened i was one of the european players that was very vocal about having a sever list merge and i just thought that it would be nice to give an insight into how the list merge has affected my gameplay experience since it has happened.

At first i was a bit worried [as were many others] who thought that many players would leave their home servers for the more populated ones such as Freedom or Virtue but so far this hasnt been the case. A lot of us has made new alts over on the [old] NA severs but still continue to play on the [old] EU ones.
I must say that i was suprised by the number of people that were coming over to Union [sadly i cannot speak for defiant since i havent played much on there last few weeks] with both new alts and established characters.

Of course with new players coming over to the Union server it did bring some obstacles. The main one that strikes out to me and other people are that the NA players are used to using the /help channel for just general talking and looking for teams, this is different to a lot of us since the /help channel was almost dead pre-merge since we use global channels for way of communication.
With that being said it didnt take long for a few nice people [Lady Arete for example] to guide people to the channels that Union tends to use [sals badgehunters/Union chat/Union Taskforce etc] and now the channels have been more alive than ever.

It has been a really nice and enjoyable experience not only playing with other players again but also just having a genuine laugh with them too. Even when i have played on the NA servers i have been teaming with people that i have no idea who they are and feeling like i am once again a newb which can only be a good thing in my opinion!

Basically what i am trying to say is that the influx of new players to play with has been a breath of fresh air for myself and motivated me to try out new things within the game [new alt elec/dev blaster which is the best char ever! LOVE mines!] such as powersets i have never dreamed of using before, TFs i have never done [sewer trial/eden] and logging on to the game and end up talking to people via Union Chat for a good hour before i even kill anything!

*raises glass* Heres hoping that this new feeling to the game lasts!

I'll be there to get the lowdown on it then running it nonstop again once it hits live

Has the game just died for anybody else? I was in Atlas [union] after just doing a taskforce when the whole of Atlas just went wierd in that NPCs were spawning right ontop of me and the civilians were rubberbanding too. Wasnt my connection because everything else online was working fine.
I tried logging out but it wouldnt let me, everytime i clicked quit no timer or nothing popped up so had to do a force closure

Now im trying to log back into the game and most of the time i cant get past server selection [tried freedom + union] but the rare time i can get past it, i select a character click load and sends me right back out to login

CONFUSED!

FYI when this happens, a few of us will be doing a level 1 free for all in the arena!

UTF is showing as under 2200 as of this morning, 100% confirmed that people cant join it?
