Just tried to get on Virtue same thing happened 3 times then comp froze up so had to do a forced shutdown just about to try again 
Ok restarted computer logged into CoH and chose Defiant and got in

Now it seems to be ok after over half hour of trying

Definitely all went tits for a while; couldn't login to most of the servers, solid yellow netgraph when I could; boards wouldn't load either.

The servers had some serious hickups earlier. Some of my friends lost their chars in one of the zones, some others DC'ed randomly. I'm guessing your issues were related to this, Damz.
As for the "stuck in zone" issue (char DC's, can't be logged on to), minimizing the graphics seems to be working.
there seems to be a serious trans-Atlantic issue. I get great ping and download speeds from UK and the EU but anything stateside is lag hell at the moment. My ISP (Virgin) suggested it's a backbone issue but haven't gone so far as to suggest a remedy. But it's been happening to a lot of people across a number of games/worlds it seems depending

The very concept that what I'm reporting could perhaps be an issue in my area is something that never seems to enter their thought process. Though thinking about it, crediting them with anything as sophisticated as a thought process might be overdoing it a little.

Well can't speak for your experience but mine is very different and I usually find them knowledgeable and helpful.

Has the game just died for anybody else? I was in Atlas [union] after just doing a taskforce when the whole of Atlas just went wierd in that NPCs were spawning right ontop of me and the civilians were rubberbanding too. Wasnt my connection because everything else online was working fine.
I tried logging out but it wouldnt let me, everytime i clicked quit no timer or nothing popped up so had to do a force closure
Now im trying to log back into the game and most of the time i cant get past server selection [tried freedom + union] but the rare time i can get past it, i select a character click load and sends me right back out to login
CONFUSED!
