    ummm well in the enhancement menu it shows up as recharge debuff whenever iv used it, i could get a screenie for you if you want? thought i had found something no1 knew then lol

    (pst not many people know this but if you slot slow/recharge IO's into oh i dont know lingering radiation you can actually enhance the "lower attack speed". Iv done it on my troller so give it a go)
  3. ummm correct me if im wrong . . . . but isnt level 24 power whirlwind IMPOSSIBLE to get without the level 26 power superspeed?
    slotting wise, if i was you i would only slot travel/inherit powers *swift, rest etc* when you have a free slot since all it does is reduce downtime by a couple of seconds, barely worth it imo when you could be enhancing your dmg output.

  5. Try AR/EM - - - - currently lvlin one myself and i can say in teams the AoE and cone attacks make missions both a walkthrough and make you feel overpowered
    Havent really seen AR in pvp but EM is used quite often and i can say from being owned by it on more than 1 occasion it is VERY good

    I heart pvp

    i love making pvp builds you dont see often in pvp zones The "different" ones i got are as follows; (btw this just means they not as common as others )

    * Mind/TA Controller
    * Merc/Poison MM
    * Ice/Traps Corruptor
    * Fire/SS tank - only cause i dnt see many tanks in pvp
    * Fire/Ice Dominator - same as above
    * Elec/Devices blaster
    * Dark/rad corruptor

    and finally my main pvp toon - ill/rad troller, only mentioned since hes my main
  7. hi all, making my first dominator since most of my mains of trollers i thought i'ld like it got a level 10 fire/ice atm, and while it does solo with ease i was wondering about the pvp and pve aspects. So just a couple of questions

    1) What travel power would best fit him??

    2) Iv heard a lot of good things about powerboost + leadership poolpowers, is it worth having?

    3) Any real tips since this is my first one

  8. illusion/rad my fav by far currently leveling mine which has soloed most of the way to lvl 45 with ease, and currently soloing the elite bosses without taking a hit. Also whenever in teams, he is greatly apreciated *be sure to take emp + fallout *, illusion/kinetics is probs also awesome at solo/teams but i would never trade a kinetics for my rad anyday
  9. lol ummm are you all on union??? because on defiant in RV pvp has been quite regular lately imo, have even had some good old fashioned hero team v villain team EPIC battles. Just gotta time it right people there are some farmers in there yes i know but thats only because its the easiest way to lvl/gather influence/prestige.
    Dont nerf it!! make it more interesting!!! Add EVRY single enemy type in the game in there!!!! that'll make it more fun

    well im currently in RV everyday farming/pvp on my ill/rad and i would say to DEFO take the psy mastery simply because nearly every person iv come across so far in there always starts off with some sort of effect *whether it be stun/hold etc* and the psy set just gives me the chance to debuff them before their next attack
    Personally i dont like deceive - both in pvp and pve - dont ask me why, i just dont feel like it suits my characters philosophy *which is run in and hope you dont die *
    ummm the only two powers i do highly recommend are fallout/emp. Fallout is great in a team based pvp side of things, and emp is just awesome if you enhance it right
    *btw 2 slot hasten/AM for recharge so youv always got one of them up *

  12. pvp is only unfair on stalkers BECAUSE everyone goes after them 1st otherwise they know within 2/3 hits they'r going to be AS'd.
    And remember not everyone who goes into pvp zones have +perception (a lot of controllers/tanks dont that i know of).
    Stalkers are a lot of fun to play against imo, mainly because the good ones dont rely on AS all the time - and these are the stalkers who get my respect
  13. traps for both MM and corruptors are VERY powerfull builds imo - wait until you get force field generator and the later powers and you'll fall in love with it. For me it did feel like a bit of a late bloomer but then again i 'spose i would rather have a stronger late build than a build thats only strong to begin with - gives the extra incentive to level later on to get that "uber" power inni

You my friends have helped kept defiant alive also teaming on defiant has been EXTREMELY fun last few days population was nowhere near as bad as i thought it'ld be

    True I agree.. given players of equal skill and cooperation, and equal min/maxed builds... indeed a hero team will most of times have the edge. Mainly because heroes complement each other way more in teams than villains do.
    However, it does show that a good cooperating team can kick [censored], even with the imbalances in it. In example I mentioned, bout 4 corrs + dom, its clearly they coordinate very well. On paper, they would have a hard time surviving if put up against teams of equal cooperation. Thing is, seeing they are so well cooperating, meeting that same level of cooperation is hard, hence resulting in the death of heroes.

  17. i got the feeling that tp might be one of the new "in" powers what with issue 9 and the inventions making the possiblities of it very useful.
    Anyone for stealth tp?? *although VERY expensive at the mo*
    Reason iv never taken tp on a pvp based character is simply because of the number of pvpers who tend to fly straight up, with tp this is very difficult to do quickly However i do agree with you though that it is usefull for catching up to people in a pure sprint/ambush *especially with the stealth IO ), actually thinking about taking it on my controller now also . . . if you ever wanna pvp in BB/sirens, give me a yell @damz always willing to pvp

  19. the obvious ones first?
    claws/spines with regen - fast recharge and extremely hard to kill 1 on 1.
    ill/rad controller - if used correctly you can own the other dueler
    stone/EA brute - gd end drains and high burst dmg, however the end issue needs to be addressed with the stone aspect of it
    dark/sonic defender - uncommon i know but faced one of these with my fire tanker 1 v 1 and let me say that my shield counted for nothing debuffs on them are outstandingly high (the heal doesnt need mentioning right? )
    em/ninja stalker - however only if the player doesnt have a perception increase
    one more i think lol . . .
    fire/ss tank - got 1 of these myself geared towards pvp and it is very able, you could survive an onslaught of 2 brutes quite easy and your attacks is quite decent compared to some of the other tanker secondaries.

    Totally agree with you here, been using IO's on my ill/rad troller from 25 - 29 so far and the difference is clearly HIGHLY noticeable, pre I9 i needed to carry a tray full of blues/reds to be of a high standard, now thanks to the acc/dmg/end red IO combos my troller feels almost TOO overpowered. And i dont think im going to renew my IOs until the lvl 40s, spending thousands on recipes isnt worth adding an extra percentage imo, well not until lvl 50 anyway

    ok iv come to realise a controller cant exactly resist an AS, but what about normal *i say normal but they still superpowered * attacks from other ATs? Would the difference in those attacks be noticeable?

    Like the title says , is it possible to make a controller able to "tank" for short periods of time in the pvp aspects??? Got an ill/rad at lvl 29 currently, dmg and end isnt an issue at present as i have good end recovery and dmg is very high against other pvpers *due to PA mostly i will admit :P*, however i wanna know is it possible if i fully slot SI + Weave + Hover + Tough with IO's to be able to withstand an early onslaught by say an AS for example? *btw endurance wouldnt be an issue as iv already figured the end red i would need to make it worthwhile :P*
    Just tried it in sirens defence wise, had SI + Hover + cryonite armour + wedding band all active and the AS only took just under half my health, would this be the same once im fully slotted without the temps?

  24. hi people, after tons and tons of alts, i finally decided i wanted to take a controller to lvl 50, always knew they were fun to play but never knew how strong and solo able they are
    But got to apologise to all the ill/* trollers out there, iv always thought that spectral terror was ummm weak and not a must have power . . . . (btw this was all my assumption whenever i played with an illusionist which was very rare ) but after just getting it . . .
    OMG!!!! its outstanding!!! PA + spectral terror + hasten . . . . omg im walking through missions atm and i cant apologise enough for how uber it actually is!!! *specially with inventions omg *
    So sorry to all you illusionists out there for doubting one of the best solo powers in-game bring on the phant
