Will play the level 1 - 15 arcs today at some point. Sad to see that none of the arcs i loved playing arent in it though
-
When on a team and an unexpected ambush/VERY VERY large mob happens and the whole team is fighting nonstop with our backs against the wall for a good 5/10 minutes then i usually tend to get more excited the battle goes on for.
Always tend to shout out GO GO TEAM CARNAGE!Whenever that happens, since to me thats my favourite part of the game. Fighting with your back against the walls against nonstop enemies which SHOULD have finished you off by now . . . . .

Welcome to the forum
The correct place for a suggestion like this is the suggestions and ideas section which is only a few knocks down
If you repost your idea there and possibly include a list of powers/changes you would do, then im sure the people on these forums will help see if it is viable. If it even sounds good enough, who knows! Maybe the devs might take a look at it too
Edit: Thread isnt even 10 minutes old and got over 300 views! -
Quote:No, GG, I'm not mistaking what the European Lounge is for: I'm lamenting the fact this is what it's become.
The sections beyond idle discussion, such as pop culture, have in some cases been pretty much destroyed by their absorption into the massive North American soup. Like it or not, although we share the same language we don't share the same cultural experiences on this side of the ocean that you do in North America.
It would be nice for the English speaking playerbase in Europe to enjoy parity with the French and German players. Am I mistaken in thinking that the French and German boards were transferred pretty much intact, and that it was just the English-speaking EU board that was mangled to fit the homogenized monster we have now?
But the difference is that the large majority of us can speak the english language whereas the french and german boards were in their respective languages [and thus got transfered over in that state].
Would it be fair to them to have a "french/german" sub forum like the european lounge in an english board?
Overall i do miss the wierd threads us EU players made "back in the day", but im happy too now that we can have a constant communication with the playerbase on a global level. -
-
Know that quite a few players in perigine island suffered extremely bad power lag in that you'ld have to wait a good 10 seconds or so for your power to execute. Unfortunately this seems to happen whenever an EU server does reach any sort of level ingame [think about 30 - 40 people in that zone at that time].
Though i didnt petition it unfortunately. -
I try to post as often as i can in the EU lounge though i do tend to stick to the general discusion section now too though. To liven things up we could create some old school EU threads if you want
Get that EU feeling back baby yeah!
So what do we need?
- A thread full of "doom"
- A thread full of love
- A thread for your achievements
- A thread for random daily topics such as RL events [noticed theres an NFL thread in infinity i think? or another server! so lets have a similar one here!]
- A back in the day thread
- A thread discusing all the possible future upgrades to the game
Plus the french forums are still a very warm and welcome place if you ever feel the need to feel some love, lovely bunch of people they are

I have come up with some rough ideas for story arcs, here they are as follows.
1) You go off to rescue a person who has been kidnapped, that person turns out to be a huge fan of yours and starts getting an "obsession" with you. After you agree to take him along on a routine patrol mission [say a warehouse], you collect the glowie [magical artifact] but forget that being human, the power inside will affect your new sidekick in some form. Luckily it gives him superpowers and is now able to fight properly alongside you [3rd mission now], however gets a bit over his head and you end up rescuing him again. [4th mission] On another routine patrol mission you end up finding your "sidekick" already inside trying to take care of the mobs for you, trying to prove that he's worthy of being your sidekick. However as the mission goes on your sidekicks attitude tends to get more cocky. [final mission] Heading back to your apartment [open street map?] you find your sidekick outside challenging you to a sporting one on one, no remorse or hatred. He just wants to see how he compares with his idol [When defeated, the rest of the maps enemies spawn and he also respawns as an ally, with you two once again ready to clear the streets!]
2) Basically this is an arc in which you are trying to recruit strong minded heroes like yourself. However each mission is you trying to recruit their members, unfortunately they will only agree to a supergroup merger if you can defeat all members in their current supergroup [so players names will make up different mob ranks]. Final mission is you and your new supergroup members taking on your arch nemesis supergroup!
Which one would you think is the better suited to this? Both i think would turn out good but unsure which would be better.
Edit: And people can PM my inbox on here with details if they want for their charactersA link to a screenshot of their character would be ideal in it too , to get the cossie just right.

This thread calls to me
Umm the term
"noob busted"
"busted"
"$target ! Consider yourself busted!"
Usually comes up when i play at least a few times a day. Especially if somebody recognises me for the first time, i usually get a message saying woo its the noob buster!!! I love people having their own signatures as such, gives a great individuality imo -
Quote:Not to add fuel to a fire, but haven't the devs said that a large majority of accounts don't even have a 50? I can't imagine they'd create a whole expansion for only a small number of long-termers and then try to sell it in a new box on the shelf to attract new customers. "Don't worry new-comer! After you grind your way to 50, you can play the new material we've added in this box!"
I think that the % of people with a level 50 has increased greatly since that was stated to be honest.
Im expecting content covering all ranges -

As long as it LOOKS like its had a graphics update then im happy with whatever. Its the core gameplay im worried about

Quote:I don't think I've ever started a thread in this section before, but I've noticed something happening with more and more frequency over the last few months, and it's bothering me.
Most of the people I've played with over the 5 years have moved on to other games. That's happens, I know. It's normal, it's expected. What I didn't expect though, was when many of those people suddenly started behaving like the time they spent here was 'lame', 'stupid', or 'a waste of time and money'.
Sigh. I guess this is a stupid thing to be upset over, but it makes me sad. Okay, they like the games they're playing now, I get it, but why does that invalidate all the good times we used to have? Why is playing CoX for five years suddenly something to regret and lament?
Im one of those people who love remembering the "good old days" and looking at pictures/cards etc to remember how things used to be [whether it be bad or good].
Same applies to a game, if i stopped playing a game then i dont think about the end, i think about the reasons which made me stick with that game for so long.
Like right now im still playing football manager games, because i've stopped playing the old ones does it mean i think they're now rubbish? Nope not at all, i remember those times when by sheer luck i ran into a new wonderkid and trained him up to be a world star. -

Quote:Well, the new Halloween stuff is very promising, I think - they've added tech to the game that allows multiple and linked objectives in a zone with invasion style mob scaling - so this new tech could be used for non-event stuff, like open missions - they could even be using the Halloween event to test it for something in GR.
I swear you have the inside scoop of something major in the works . . . . . your like an undercover agent or something! -
heres the link shadowe http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/74507
Or the specific part your looking for is:
Quote:Going Rogue will also have new entry-level content in Praetoria, for those starting new characters in that zone. We acknowledge that our tutorial is about four or five years old. Weve added stuff to it piecemeal as weve added systems on, but for the starting zone in Going Rogue, we are rewriting and modernizing the new player experience.

Well least according to BaBs twitter, they're going to reveal dual pistols. Thats one thing thats guaranteed at least.

Theres a reason people tend to powerlevel their friends only
Once you get the word out that you powerlevel strangers . . . . . . well be prepared for a ton of messages
That happened to a mate of mine ingame once and he had to go on constant /hide just to avoid the messages it got so bad -
I would have changed my MA/SR character [sonof-damz] into a MA/WP scrapper i think.
Also my ill/rad would have become an ill/thermal, though i dont know . . . . . a big part of me says i would change them, but would i have enjoyed them any more without those powersets? Small part of me doubts it. -
Quote:The idea is to post moments from your time in game that a noob corrected or gave you some help. Here's mine:
About a year after CoV came out I'm on a team in cap au diable and someone sets a mission and I for some reason cant find the door. I kept looking for it and didnt have any luck. One of the guys on the team who had no vet badges sends me a tell, "Check the nav bar. The mission is in Port Oaks." Doh >.<
Unfortunately, as an official unofficial noob buster, i can not pass on sacred information in which i have been proven wrong by people who are new to the game [though it has happened]. -
This really is a split subject isnt it
pratically 50/50 on whether or not we should have less epic arcs everyone is
