  1. just finshing group with some friends and my mercs shot 5 damage rubber bullets at one guy while demon summoning blew stuff up left and right with massive nukes. God dammit mercs, why are you so lame

    ok cool I just resubbed after 6 + months and went through the patch notes and basically nothing's changed. I do have a lv30 MA/Regen scrap laying around tho, maybe I'll get it up to 50 since MA is apparently ok.
  4. also I dont know if this is intended but my mercs keep running up to mobs and trying to fist them...even if the mob's webbed or something. So they get hit alot. I think the mercs would be better if they just stood and shot inside of running into aoes
  5. Well I'm lv 26 and got commando now, but I can safely say without Acheills my damage is pretty lame up to this point. I'm also pretty garbage in teams because of the dot attacks, I rarely can fully unload a dot before the mob is killed by other players (lol aoe), so I'm not really contributing as much I think.

    I still stick with my MM though because the sound effects are awesome. Its sounds like a warzone when ever I fight.

    Thanks, I chucked a Achilles in my soldiers and also a Lady Grey proc. I figured because they shoot pretty fast they would proc alot. So far seems pretty good.
  8. Ok another question,

    do the proc IOs stack? Because I'm going to try to slot up my pets with Achellies and Lady Grey procs, and possibly some other damage procs to up their dps a bit. Do the Achellies procs on each pet stack with each other?
    Also is it worth it to chuck say 2-3 different damage procs on a pet or is just straight +% damage/acc IO's better?
  9. uhh mercs shoot in a cone? I've never seen my mercs hit more than 1 mob at a time with burst. like ever.
  10. Ok I know mercs are the worst set in the MM profession. But I gave it a try to see how it played and it seems like they are so much worse than my zombie MM it wasn't even funny.

    Does anyone have any comparison numbers on the merc set because it seems to me they're not just slightly worse but at least 2-3 times worse than any other MM set out there, especially when grouping you get 2 ticks of a burst dot off and the mob dies from someone else. Also does it get better at higher levels? I'm lv 16 right now.

  12. make serum like stimpack from starcraft. has no cooldown but the pet you give it to lose half their health.

    I remember a while ago SS, spines was the only viable option and Flurry was the best attack bar none. Is it still the same ?

    Knife Throwing powerset
    Interact/Blowup enviroment NOT just punching parking meters
    Run on water/up buildings with SS
    Ability to mine fish

    I think the pets that's serumed up should get turned to a more speicallized role, ebcause noone in their right mind would use serum on anything other than commander making the speical custome changes wasted on the other 3 models. the spec ops should turn to dps maching when serumed, commander into super tank, soldier into something and medic into uber buff/aoe heals/rez minions on his own. also serum should apply to all soldiers in one teir instead of just one guy. And it'll really make mercs stand out on it's own instead of just, choose fat minion + apply buff.

  25. ok you guys have some good points but i think you all being way too specific. yeah mms sucks at taking aoe, but makes it up with insane st tank, which makes up for it in the tanking role, not to mention aoe heals etc which can negate aoe.

    Also enemies that work off number of people, come on now, there's what 3-4 mob in game that does that? That have abilities acutally makes a huge win/loss difference with a mm in the grp, or a mm solo. that's like saying a AT's bad because it can't take cold damage during a blue moon while standing on one leg.

    As for the AI yes it sucs. But thats like saying a MM's bad at having good AI make no sense.

    And you all mention managment, imo you can get through missons with just BG, afk and only tune in for bosses. yeah it take a bit more effort but when you judge at good/bad you have to assume the player knows wtf they doing.
