No I mean visual fx. Like the shockwave from SS or the smash from Crushing uppercut
-
Anyone find it annoying that there's no impact FX when you hit with Titan Weapons? Your weapon just slip through and numbers pop up. I'd think at least you'd get the impact FX you got on STJ or even Super Strength
-
Random obscenely long CD not fixed on AOE hold. Set still has terrible AOE. Dimension Shift still not a toggle.
No bueno. -
Does this skill tenderize every target it hits? Or just the one you're targeting?
-
Quote:70% s/l is that on tank only? With Tough and softcapped Defenses, you'll basically have 70%ish resistance to S/L, and good resistance to almost everything else but energy. Then, you've got a heal that can bring you from 1 HP to full in one use. and on top of that, you're not being attacked by any minions in the spawn.
So, you're only being attacked by Lieuts and up, to which you'll have 45% Defense to most of their attacks. If they do hit you, you've got 50-70% Resistance to whatever they throw at you. If your health gets low enough, you hit one power, and you're back to full.
And even if after all of that, you die, you can get back up immediately, stunning everything around you, and go again. -
Is DA any good? I looked at the number and it looks like you end up with a bunch of ~50% resists when io'd which is kind of low. I thought this was supposed to be one of the best sets when you IO it out.
-
I think tankers need buff. They got more HP and higher resist and defence (both semi useless in teams becuase there are buff that pretty much cap a broot anyway) .
They got tenderizing which is good but only balances the fact your forced to take a useless attack.
They got Aoe Gauntlet, good except every broot and their mom got AOE up every hole in their body, and so in that sense, every broot also has an aoe taunt.
So basically in a team setting all they have is a higher hp cap. I guess that's good in the event of avoiding 2-shots but I don't think it's worth giving up 100+% damage for. -
Assuming you're not getting pounded by mobs eg in a trial, do simply attacking with TW generate enough fury to keep your bar up? I'm asking because it seems it's really slow.
-
I never use any +def attacks on any toons. At 50 they're useless

Inb4 Nemesis plot and everyone killed was automaton

Quote:No it sounds like they were ok with a blueside character taking the time to do the morality arcs, switch sides to red, do the patron arc and unlock the pool and then take the time to do all of the morality arcs again to go back to blueside if they really really wanted to.
So yeah, they're OK with you putting in the effort to acquire Villain Patron Power Pools for your Hero.
Oh, so you've shifted from not ok, to OK if you put in effort. So I guess it is ok after all.
Also I never said hand it over. I said in my first post they should put in a arc you have to do to get it.
Quote:You're reasoning, taken to the absurd, can be read like this:
The devs are ok with people being L50, so why not just let them press a button at character gen to be auto-50? -
Quote:And you end up with a Blue character with the pools. Sounds like they were ok with giving blue characters the pools to me. Otherwise they would have just locked it down to Red from the get go characters onlyNo, they didn't.
They didn't give "Blue people" the go ahead to have those pools.
Only redside faction characters can unlock the arcs, only redside faction characters can unlock the Patron Pools.
You can switch sides back to blue if you like after that, but that's up to you. -
Is this a what if story where Sinister solos the universe?
-
Quote:No I see it too lol.Did they ever fix the graphics bug with Single Shot? Where drawing it out and using Single Shot doesn't make the character go into the firing stance. It always got to me seeing the beam rifle held in one hand, pointed at the ground, and still sucessfully hit something...
-
Quote:Ok, heroes already can get Patron pools, so that part of your argument is arrleady moot. We're not even talking about that. I'm saying since the devs already gave the go ahead for Blue people to have those pools maybe they should give a way to get them with out having to go through 20 something tips+Moral missions which, when you take in account the stuff you have to do in those missions (how many people do you have to whack?), make alot less sense for your heroic character than those the pools.*Looks at own post, looks at response regarding heroes "having it good"; sees no relation*
Uh... Is this maybe a sensitive issue for you? I mean, I'm all for antagonizing religiously-blue-siders as much as the next guy, but "you could roll a villain" is pretty far detached from "heroes need to get shafted."
Arachnos sets are Arachnos. There is a story-driven implementation with the Patron sets. While I admit to getting my giggles for telling bloobs to stop waiting for candy to fall into their mouths, it has everything to do with the players and nothing to do with "devs hate villains."
So no, heroes should not get Patron pools for the sake of equality; that's a matter of implementation. And stubborn blue-siders shouldn't get them either; that's a matter of orneriness. -
Quote:Which is why in myself post I suggested that maybe make a undercover arc so that it makes sense to for your character to have the pools. I mean taking tech to use againest them is nto far fetched in comics.I'm against Heroes (or anyone else) having auto-access to the Patron Pools.
The patron pools are thematically linked to ... the patrons (who are Villains)
All of the patron pools have pets, which all summon villain NPCs. So they are in effect linked specifically to specific patrons.
I'm not sure if something could be any more linked to being a villain than a patron pool called "Mu Mastery" or "Leviathan mastery".
It makes no sense thematically for Heroes to have automatic access to this.
It's also one of the very few decent perks for being a Villain in the first place (who still have to do the arc to unlock them).
Quote:I have no vendetta.
I just think the patron power pools should remain just that. And I think Hero Patron Pools should be avoided BECAUSE of the fact that so many people complained about such things.
"What?! This Power Pool is linked to RP story that doesn't make sense for my character but I want it!"
or
"I'm nobody's lackey/sidekick! Why would I do this?!"
Which are the complaints that came about from PPPs.
I don't even go for redside epics for themes all the time. Sometimes I go for them for the simple reason that they get the toggle armor at as a tier 1 (corrs/defenders dont) and their toggle armors are useable with ANY concept as they just give them a basic gow. -
I meant to type GM killer :P I mean all that is good and all but it looks like the degen is lacking to take out any gms
-
Why is /traps considered the AV killer? The -1000 regen is nice, but it's only 10 seconds and next to impossible to perma. I don't know how people manage it.
-
Quote:Thats another problem because some Patron powers are strictly better than the APP counter parts. Eg. Mids list Charged Armor under Villians as 20.63 for Lethal Smashing and Energy for Corrs. But Charged Armor under APP is 20.63 for Lethal Smashing and 15% for Energy for no good reason as they all have the same cost. And the pet under the patron pools is a very muleable skill as well.Oh noes!
Then pick an APP instead. Really, if you're willing to run tips daily to get the hero merits, running tips for a few days to alter alignments isn't really a chore.
And like I said, wait it out. Level 20, make way to vigilante, get to the morality mission mark, wait to run it untill you're level 34, then runt he morality, become a villain, unlock the patron, and do 5 more tips for Rogue!
Next day, 5 tips and morality and you're Rogue! 2 more days and your Hero again! \o/ And doing it that way, put's you to six days worth of tips, LESS THAN A WEEK, because you went straight to Vigilante. -
Quote:Good thing you brought up A Merits that's another one of my gripes. You can't get any from tips or SSA in that period either. Thats like 4-5 merits you missed out(one for each change and one for the SSA weekly).Yeah, but other people want everything handed to them without any effort on their part too.
I showed you how to do it without feeling like it actually takes a week, since it seems that you're real problem is either you would prefere to stay on blueside for teaming, want to stay strictly hero for hero merits, or don't want to do any tips at all.
It's not bad, you get badges for it, and now you can unlock the patron arcs sooner, meaning even easier tips to switch sides with. -
I just compared it to AR. Seems like the AR animations can interrupt the return to ninja run animation. So if you q skills up AR would fire, swing the weapon back a little bit then return to firing pose and fire again.
BR seems to always wait for the return to ninja run pose to finish(sometime it bug out and just firing while you're at the ninja run pose so your beam comes out from the gun pointed behind you), before doing a full swing back to the firing animation. So you get a weird gun flipping back and forth when you chain skills.
Not a big deal just kinda weird -
-
Does anyone else get the thing where if you use ninja run your character constantly filps their rifle back and forth when you have skills already queued?
-
Yeah I chucked in Agility. The end problems are still there but it freed a slot in stam for me to chuck in end proc. The recharge and +def portions works awesomely though. I just wish the speed portion affected ninja run
