It is also somehow, I think, based on location. IE, I've been able to use AoE powers outside of the big city square...but even single target powers can trigger the bed-crapping if you're inside the plaza.
I've never been able to finish the mission. :/ -
Bingo, client-side. There are a lot of nice things that don't show up for the average older PC-using player.

Zwill is paid in hats, and the souls of lost image macros.

Quote:According to /windownames, there are these:
- paragonrewards (Openable, Closable, Scalable)
- webstore (Openable, Closable, Scalable)
- paragonmarket (Openable, Closable, Scalable)
- mainstoreaccess (Scalable)
- loyaltytreeaccess (Scalable)
However, where they all say 'Scalable', IT'S A LIE!!1!
They can't be dragged and scaled and the /windowscale command has no affect on them.
However, the ones that say 'Openable' and 'Closeable' can be shown and dismissed with the /toggle command.
This has always been screwy. The Consignment House window is undersized on all my characters, and virtually microscopic on ONE character. Didn't change any settings--just always been that way. -
Thanks, Chad! So much easier to understand than the actual in-game market!
-
Quote:Oops, haha!AH-HA!! I now know your secret identity good sir. After months of wondering... the truth comes forward!
That's like...a market fee. A tiny market fee.
Quote:ill offer a golden rubber duckie award to winnah
rubber duckie your the one...
on a quieter note Nice going DB that was nice of you Golden Rubber Duckie too you too
Titan, I'll meet Cien's golden duck and raise you some rare IOs if you want. Go, go Arachnos Venom Corps! -
No offense, but 2 million is a terrible prize. Send me a /tell in-game to @Thaneval, and I'll send a billion your way. That way, your contest can offer "over a billion in prizes." How you want to distribute the funds is up to you.
Happy playing! -

What about the Werewolf of London, Ontario?
-
Yeah, I missed the item again. Pretty much on account of the entire "not free and not on Friday" bit. It's too bad, the w^3 is a nice item.
-
I'm sorry we don't have you for tonight!
I don't get to play that much on the weekends, so I may miss all the good times--but I'll keep an eye on my friends list and VU as well, if I get a chance to be on.
Thanks again! -

We knew all this already. We have Zwill's word, now, which still won't be enough to satisfy some folks.
Thanks, though. -
Quote:Right, Thursday, I'll keep an eye out for you at the same time. I just wanted to say, again, thank you for this. Thank you. Thanks to everyone who came to the attempt. We earned that Ready to Rumble badge, and the others will be ours soon enough. I'd give it another 2 runs tops before we have Triple Threat.
I have a feeling we could pull off the Hard Way with a little more practice - a few less KOs, a few more inspirations and Tyrant would be taken care of. Maybe stick to taking down 3 Lights at a time, coupled with one Ultimate inspiration to bring us that much closer. Even before the patch fixes the Lights.
The Really Hard Way looks to require stacking buffs and debuffs, which isn't very surprising but a tad disappointing. I'd hoped that with Incarnates we'd gone past the need to require specific archetypes as long as the characters were played well.
See you guys on Thursday for another series of attempts. -
Since the CoT pack is still missing a bunch of pieces, I guess I don't mind giving you only some of my money.
I do wish, really REALLY wish, there was some way to tell if I had these other packs or not. -
At first I was excited to hear about this, but then I was just sad. It sets a precedent for making future trials and badges even harder, as well as being something that no one in their right mind would want to repeatedly do--just for the fun or reward of it.
In the end, however, congrats--what an epic achievement! -
What about the part where you do the entire dang trial, and then get that stupid pity table, with ten threads, or a single inspiration.
Seriously, I haven't seen that since before the BAF and Lambda were adjusted. That's just awful. The trial doesn't drop anything except Empyrean merits--at least you could fix it so the salvage dropped safely. -

I thought I had read everything about the Magi trial, but this is the first I have heard about this. More information would be awesome.

Quote:Wow, Neb--yeah, good call.Yes...! Swamp Bug/Purple Nebula (or P. Nebby as I liked to call him) was awesome. He showed me the ropes when if first came to Virtue and I'll never forget him. I spent a ton of time with him until he moved on to The Matrix Online - where he became a legend there as well.
He was awesome.
Quote:Royal Jester - Probably the first roleplayer I teamed with. Took Belle all the way to Portal Corp, right up to the portals, when she was nearly fresh from fighting the Contaminated.
Dr. Forkenshpoon - Master of SCIENCE, potent sense of humor, and mentor to my main character. Nobody will ever be quite like him.
Jenny Device - Doc's girlfriend. She was gone before we knew it, but she was like a big sister to Belle in her younger days.
Officer Celara - Leader of the Paragon City Police Department, first supergroup I joined.
Grand Inquisitor - Leader of Belle's first supergroup, Phoenix.
The Weevil - Weevil Knievel!
Boscoe - Very fun whenever I interacted with him.
Tempura Schoolboi - He seemed like an intentional side character who was jealous of the Sushi Squad, so I always wanted him to win somehow.
The entire original CAPE RADIO Staff - DJ Tenchi, Forrest, Omega, D, Insomniac, Shinjuku. Nobody remembers them, but I got to hang out with them on Teamspeak and they were all very awesome. I would list DJ One Hit Wonder, but I've seen her fairly recently. XD
Captain Orbit - Only seen him ONE time, but in the short moments he was there - he crash landed near City Hall, tried to explain to my young, freaked out hero that he was trying to save John F. Kennedy, and almost got into a fight with a soviet warrior named Comrade Smersh, who told him that he was a bit late.
The entire Aurorae supergroup.
There are about a few dozen names I miss, but - those are the first ones who stand out.
Oh. I think I met two of Square Woot's Catbots (with Square Woot) in Galaxy City. Probably between the 1000 - 8000 series that would never be spoken of.
Go read her comic.
Fork always seemed really really angry, OOC. I hope he's okay wherever he is. I remember Jenny better than Celara--but I do remember the PPD SG. That was nice. As has been mentioned before, I think the Liberty League really defined what a CoH SG was for a lot of early folks in the game. And Weevil got that whole arc in the original comics, which was cool.
I certainly remember DJ Tenchi. We didn't get along, but at least his idea eventually become something great with the work of BigTop, Templar, and Angel.

Quote:1. I think our definition of a "real problem" is pretty different. I would see a "real problem" as something game breaking--not a minor cosmetic item that only applies to a small number of people. I do agree with your concerns regarding fixing or removing them.Do. It is a real problem. The devs have punted and said it's a billing issue (and the billing department is shared with several other games). Either way, the yearly badges need to either be fixed or removed.
The only way something like that will get priority is through volume of support tickets from paying customers who are unhappy about it.
I'm not saying spam them, but one ticket from each customer who is paying them a monthly fee and not getting the perks they're supposed to should be plenty.
2. I disagree with your theory of opening mass amounts of support tickets. This flies in the face of your, "but don't spam them" line. Further, as this is a known issue (not on the "official list," but called such by the devs), opening additional tickets accomplishes nothing. It doesn't get added to the known issues list multiple times, and it doesn't add any weight to the existing entry. It's on the list.
3. Again, if the talk from the Pummit is to be believed, they're not ever going to be fixed. And now we're just making a scene and being nuisances about something that no one has any control over. -
Quote:Don't worry. My comment wasn't directed at you, and I agree with pretty much everything you said.Eh, I'm just bitter.
I've run near a dozen attempt to complete it, 11 got to Tyrant, but we could not get him below 20% health at any time.
When it fails, he says his defeated dialogue and turns into the small level 50 verison of himself(despite obvious failure), and vanishes after a few seconds. We even get "Trial Complete", despite its failure. Worst, the Magisterium grants no Astrals Merits for anything we did accomplish. After a awhile, it's just a damn threshing machine--to me not fun at all.
The 'prize', Hybrid is much less useful that I thought it would be. It's not something worth the difficulty of The Magisterium. -
