Can you resize Paragon Market and Paragon Rewards Windows?

For some reason, they come out way too big on my screen, and I can't access most of the stuff on these screens. Is there a way to edit this?

I had to change my resolution to see these screens in full.

I did that, which fixed my other viewing problems, but didn't seem to fix these windows.

If you can't resize them the same as any other window then you can't resize them, sadly.

They did not expect anybody to have those windows open for long in any situation where they would need to see what is behind them.
That is why you can only open or close them, not resize.

developer foresight is lacking in this regard, as well as plenty of other ways, and they don't like to change things when they have hindsight unless they cause serious stability issues with the game for lots of people.

Yeah, I can't even see what's on the screens, so it's kind of absurd. Thanks!

One thing you may want to check in Windows is to see if you have enabled Large Fonts or set "Make text and other items larger or smaller" to either Medium or Larger.

If you have, set it to Normal Fonts or Smaller (100%).

EDIT: Another thought just occurred to me, but I'm unable to test it for several hours so have no idea if it might be the problem.
IIRC, the Paragon Market interface is using a browser interface for the display. It's likely using the browser settings of whatever is set as the default browser on the computer. One of the things many browsers do is to allow you to resize text or even have a zoom setting. The Paragon Market window "could" be picking up these settings and causing the problems you describe. You may want to open your browser (whatever is set as the default browser) and make sure that it is set to view text at the normal level and not a larger sized font or isn't set to be zoomed either for the entire page or just for text. If I were at home I could easily test it, but alas, I won't be home for several hours yet. If I don't see that you've found a solution by the time I get home I'll test this possibility to see if enlarging the text or zooming the browser causes this and report back what I find.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Saw no responses here by the time I got home so did some testing using Windows 7.

I set IE as my default browser and changed the Text size in the browser to Large. Paragon Market looks normal to me.

I closed the game and within IE I zoomed to 200% on a page. Paragon Market looks normal to me.

I set IE back to 100% Zoom and Medium Text.

Closed the game then set Firefox to be the default browser again and set the Zoom to Text Only and raised it to 150%. Paragon Market looks normal to me.

Closed the game then set Firefox to Zoom everything and Zoomed to 200%. Paragon Market looks normal to me.

I set Firefox back to normal zoom settings.

I closed the game again and left my desktop set to 1920 x 1080 and set the in-game resolution to 1280 x 1024. Paragon Market looks normal to me.

I closed the game again and set my desktop to 1280 x 1024 then set my ingame resolution to 1920 x 1080. Paragon Market looks normal to me.

I closed the game and set the Windows font size to Largest but couldn't get into the game since I couldn't get to the Accept button on the EULA page (this was what I expected to happen). I closed the game and set the Windows font size to Medium. Paragon Market looks normal to me.

I closed the game and set the Windows font size back to Smallest. In the game I set the Window scale to 150%. Paragon Market looks normal to me.

I changed the Windows scale back to 100% and stopped testing.

Basically, I'm unable to duplicate the problem you are reporting.

Without knowing anything about your computer setup (OS, Video Card, Video Card driver version/date, Windows screen resolution, game screen resolution, game settings, etc.) I doubt I'd be able to offer any suggestions past this point.

According to /windownames, there are these:

  • paragonrewards (Openable, Closable, Scalable)
  • webstore (Openable, Closable, Scalable)
  • paragonmarket (Openable, Closable, Scalable)
  • mainstoreaccess (Scalable)
  • loyaltytreeaccess (Scalable)

However, where they all say 'Scalable', IT'S A LIE!!1!

They can't be dragged and scaled and the /windowscale command has no affect on them.

However, the ones that say 'Openable' and 'Closeable' can be shown and dismissed with the /toggle command.

IIRC You can resize them but their minimum window size is larger than normal ones so they wont change much.

Yeah I have noticed there are settings for those in the wdw.txt file with the webstore set at 800x600. Manually editing the wdw.txt file then re-loading it doesn't work.

Thanks everyone. Tinkered around with my resolution settings some more and finally got it to a point that was tolerable (still a little too big, but at least I can see most of the stuff on the windows).

This has always been screwy. The Consignment House window is undersized on all my characters, and virtually microscopic on ONE character. Didn't change any settings--just always been that way.

I can drag them around on my screen and have them stay put. I can't scale them though.
Allow me to clarify: They can't be dragged-and-scaled and the /windowscale command has no affect on them.
