...is this a cheese thread?
Great threads we have loved:
Dead_Calm has a vision of a better world
I try to unleash the power of ROCK on the game
Plight... mumbles something weird about Bridger being a bridger
...Pyra's being a n00b...
...and the reason the USS Aardvark is feared through every spacelane... -
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I loved the old Storm Kick. Even if you did look kind of stupid waggling your leg there if you missed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, the old Chun Li trick... -
I have an old-school AR/Dev, and she STILL wipes the floor with zombie hordes.
Try this for an attack chain:
LRM > Full Auto (with 1x Range) > Flamethrower (with 2x Hami Dam/Range) > Buckshot (Add Insult To Injury)
With an exclusively ranged blaster, you do need to make sure you keep a little distance between you and the hordes. Caltrops, Freeze Ray, and Hover are all extremely useful -

Hmmm. Still have never managed to do Hess
[/ QUOTE ]
This Sir is unforgivable, best TF ingame, fun, nice and short, it should be mandatory for everyone to do Hess.
Give a shout whenever you wish and we can arrange it, honestly, nobody should miss Hess.-

Seconded. It's one of the ones where you really do feel like you're in a Bond/superhero movie. (Though I do think... SPOILER ALERT... ...that if they're going to have the base blowing up, it should REALLY be blowing up rather than "if you haven't exited by time X, you're dead". Destructible environments should be easy enough these days, as should massive chained explosions that you need to run like hell to get away from... )
The other one no-one should miss is the Faultline arc. And remember, smart savers go to Yin's Market!
Other St00f I've loved since I've joined:
- Faultline II
- Croatoa TF (though I hate, hate, HATE Red Caps)
- Invention System (I now have a blaster with almost as much natural regen than my /Regen Scrapper - and who's actually pretty handy in a firefight)
- All the Christmas, Halloween and Valentine events
- Every costume contest, won or lost
- The Dr. Creed arc
- The people
St00f I've hated:
- ED. Enough said.
- Arena combat as an empath (take out the healing support for the rest of the team and they'll fall... hence, being an empath in team PvP is like painting a damn great bullseye on your chest) -
Right... here goes...
DreamWeaver was simply because the toon was a psychic/empathic web designer (ie: me!), and the name just fit the concept nicely.
PowerStar was my first proper attempt at a blaster, and originally had a copper-topped helmet.
Ranger Emily was originally a costume test for a TA/Archery defender, but I rather liked AR/Dev and stuck with it- just me and my BFG. Eventually I did make Ranger Marianne as well (aka Marianne Garrett - remember the Thief series?) Both Rangers work for the National Forestry Service and deal with threats to the natural order of things.
Prince Vultan needs no introduction for those of a certain age who appreciate bad sci-fi and good MAD SHOUTY PEOPLE. He was also the first toon I made when veteran wings came out.(Keep an eye out for his nemesis General Kala.)
Goldblade are a favoured punk band of mine and were appropriate for a whirling dervish DB scrapper.
Agent Flux is simply a corruption of Aeon Flux, though I gave her a whole different (and ver' French) personality in her bio. However, although Amelie herself has retired from villainy, her escaped Crey clone is now rising steadily through Arachnos as Operative Flux.
Casanova Funkenstein brings a whole new meaning to the word boogieman- he's the world's grooviest mad scientist and leader of a dark army of dancefloor zombies. Dissscooo issss liiiiffeeee...
Capt. Thunder is a buddy's toon made while I was off on EvE for a while - again originally made as a costume test/joke to try and have a Nathan Fillion clone sitting around on my lappy. We both liked playing with him, though. The name simply fits the powers and sounds suitably dumb and heroic... unlike the toon, who's a cop, hates the name but it's stuck in the public mind, and is quite grumpy about having to save people all the time
Battle Hamster is cute, fast, furry and squeaky.
Papa Lazarou is behind you. -
I'd be happy with DTWT or GOSH, but bless your little furry paws you for doing it anyway...
-
Having looked at some other threads, guessing Gaussian Chance For Build Up works in Targeting Drone - but how often does it proccheck in a toggle power?
-
War Witch (the non-ghostly wisecracking Pocket D version, with coffee permanently glued into hand).
Alternatively, Sister Psyche with better taste in clothes. I wear some, for a start. -
I tried running an evil "Black Cab" service on Defiant Villains for a while (for payment, obviously).
Oddly, no-one trusted me. Besides, I didn't go saaaaarf of the clock tower. -
OKies GR.
(Last event seen: 16:20, Faultline). -
OK, let's time this.
At 16:20, vile flesh-chewing minions of darkness invaded Faultline.
Can someone please post the next time and location you saw them so we can map it? -
Ranger Emily and her famous Bauer And Drescher Multi-Operation Field Ordnance Rifle (aka: old-school SuperSoaker) are back
Nothing quite like levelling huge fields of zombies with a shotgun.
-
I dunno, you wait hours for a rush of bloodthirsty flesh-munching zombies, and then a whole lot come at once.
Or is that traiiiiiiinns? -

Liking the look of pain domination, finally might revive my Psygonbad character...

I think that set deserves a *cropcrack*...
...but I'd just feel lonely -
Stage-diving an empath into a pit full of demons. Did save the tank, mind...

Nick Fury

...indeed. Although, you have to choose carefully which one you work for...
Nick Fury Possibility One
Nick Fury Possibility Two
Also, if we're talking about the Bondsman, I had a slightly different inspiration in mind.
After all, who knows what evil lurks within the hearts of men? Heh-heh-heh-heh-heh (etc) -
Well, fire/ controllers are kind of mini-MMs once they get Imps. A fully pet-based Controller set could be interesting...
Otherwise, if we were doing a LEADER class...
SUMMONER:
Ancient ghosts and mighty spirits of justice put themselves at your disposal.
Damage type: Energy
Pets: Poltergeist, Angelic Knight, Champion Spirit
Spirit Storm: The spirits of fallen citizens may not have the power of your mighty legion, but they want to help - and can at least distract the enemy! (as per Tornado)
Divine Blessing: you're on a mission from God. So are your party. (Full team Build Up)
SWAT COMMANDER:
Tired of being second place to heroes, the PPD strike back with new tactics and fearsome leaders.
Pets: PPD Riot Cop, PPD Ghost, Hard Shell
Main Damage: Lethal/Smash/Energy (Assault Rifle)
CSI Training (analyse enemy defences for +Acc and +Dam buff)
BONDSMAN:
A brave few of the ordinary citizens you have rescued are inspired to join your quest for justice.
Main Damage: Lethal/Fire/Ice (Dual MultiPistols)
Pets: Special: your Tier 2 and 3 pets are pretty much like the Thugs MM, but the first-tier pets would be randomly chosen from a pool of possible pets with different abilities... after all, you could never tell who's going to answer your call to justice first!
A few potential pets:
- Private 'Tec: you help him crack cases, he helps you bust heads. (Pistol/Tough)
- Forest Ranger: this guardian of nature will use their trusty bow and stealth to help you through the urban jungle (Archery/TrickArrow/Stealth)
- Man-Cub: They tried to make him into a warwolf, but he's all right naaaoooooowwww... (Claws/SR)
- Minor Arcana: cute, geekly little witchling who's tougher than she looks. (Emp/Psi. Special vulnerability: Joss Whedon).
- Gunny: this ex-Marine might be a little on the... paranoid side, but that's pretty healthy for a Paragon citizen. And as far as you're concerned, he's semper fi all the way. (Sniper Rifle/Shotgun)
- GeekLord: You rescued this potential evil genius when he was well out of his depth and now his cunning devices are at your disposal. (Energy/Devices)
Special mechanics:
-Prove Your Worth: A Leader has to show they're worth following before others will join them, so no pets are available till Level 6.
-"Morale" bar: Starts at 1. Each enemy your team defeats boosts their team spirit (Acc/Dam), as does having their leader close to them. At maximum morale they will truly become an unstoppable force scything through the enemy (immune to Fear/Hold/Slow).
-Demoralized:If they are abandoned by their leader (out of range) or a comrade falls (ie: prevent pet death if at all possible), morale will fall to zero and they may flee the battlefield. -

I definitely like the idea of teams of Shield/(weapon) Tanks and Broadsword/Shield Scrappers ripping across Paragon, possibly backed with Archery Blasters and Defenders or for a more modern team Assault Rifle.
Super Paragon Police Watch Shield Force GO!
TuuuuuUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAA!
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd prefer if it wasn't TP though...
- Superspeed effect
- Inflicts KD on enemies
- huge bonus for successfully flattening 10 enemies at once
- this sound as enemies fall -
Bye kiddo.
*sad, lonely cropcrack*
EDIT... you'll be back with the customisable ponies in I14. -

Fantasy Hockey Stick......... I cant get a 99 on the back of a hockey jersey or anything that close to the Oilers symbol on the front or I'd take it more seriously
[/ QUOTE ]
If it had the Oilers on the front I wouldn't take it seriously anyway.
*waves small Sabres pennant and runs for it* -
All my toons have many different costume flavours depending on how I'm feeling during the day.
Powerstar, for example, is a CSI as well as a superhero, so she has a caped Wonder Womanish number, an armoured battle suit for tough situations, and two "tribute" costumes to my favourite fabulous forensic factfinders: Catherine Willows (CSI:Original Flavour) and Abby Sciuto (NCIS). -
They need hockey sticks to add to War Mace next for Casey Jones fans...

Loving the new Police Utility Belt. I don't think there's a single hero should be without their trusty gadget belt (if you want a quote from DW: I may be able to access phenomenal cosmic power and be in tune with the universe. But if push comes to shove, a beanbag round ain't sparkly but gets the job done.)
