  5. Ok, I know this is thread necromancy, but I've reworked this build to give soft cap to ranged defense, 40% or over to loads of damage types. This is a slight reworking still using no purple recipes and using a few of the new IO sets from issue 13.

  6. COH 2 would be good. Would we be able to transfer characters from COH/V?

    Trouble is, keeping old characters is one advantage COH 2 has over DCUO or CO, but it could do a lot of damage to a new system.

    (I couldn't sleep, and it seems like a question that is relevant to the original topic.)

    Because the idea seems to be to allow no-one to escape from PvP anywhere except inside missions. That seems like [censored] to those that will never like PvP. It doesn't matter if 75% of folk decide to love PvP (and that is a madly overoptimistic number), it's still [censored] for those that don't. Not even the most enthusiastic PvPer claims everyone will love it.

    The idea of this game is not to convert everyone into a PvP-loving griefer, or at least, that is my understanding anyway.
  9. PvP won't appeal to a lot of players because they have no interest or enjoyment in competing with those that do enjoy it.
    I can ignore a player I don't want to play with, I can refuse to play with them and they don't bother me.
    If this change happens, all I can do is leave the game to not interact with them, /ignore will be irrelevant.

  11. I can see loads of reasons for the change;
    competitive missions trying to undo each other's work,
    a possible move towards opening both Paragon and the Rogue Isles to both sides,
    a possible move towards changing sides,
    a possible move towards "neutral" toons who can go everywhere.

    It's a change in the tech with many options ahead, even though now it's anomalous. This is not the same as the "all have to be in zone" bug which is understood to be a side effect error that will (one day) be fixed.
