I think they didn't bother including something in that because they had more things on their list to do OR like Toreag said, lack of imagination.
But tbh they should come back to it eventually and add something.

Didn't really bother me at 45 months - but the most recent 51 month did bother me, as all it was was a choice of one of the sands of mu, blackwand, staff, ghost slaying axe items you hadn't chosen previously as a vet reward. Lack of imagination there too.
Now I'm fast approaching 57 months (in feb 09, next month) and nothing has been announced yet...
