  1. hmm actually I like that idea...

    /unstuck $target

This takes the target spawn and simply drops them back at their original spawn point (since mobs tend to walk into walls/places they can't be attacked or be knocked back into them).
  2. Dr_MechanoEU

    Widow capes!

True Night Widows and Ghost Widow also have unique pattern designs on their arms that are unaccessable to the player if I remember correctly.

Even without the the Widow Cape it is still fairly easy to create a non-hair flowing version of Ghost Widow...infact I've even seen a Ghost Widower (a male version of Ghost Widow obviously).
  3. oh hush...yes I meant Paramount...

Hopefully the plan will all come together...
  4. cheers for that...so should I put an @ infront of just send them to Crimson Archer/Dante...if so it's probably the @ which is the problem.

Edit: It was the @ which was the problem, Pious and Red Commissar (when you read this) please remind Dante and Hana to check their email inboxes for the relevant details and get them to message me on the forum if they can.

2nd Edit: Ok got replies from 3 out of the six SG/VGs I will be contacting and two individuals. Thanks for the replies all, it does mean a lot to me and getting permission for this is tantamount...since without your consent it couldn't work.
  5. Cheers Pious..will set to contact them ingame and already PM'd you...

...this is turning out to be more work than I thought it would but it's totally going to be worth it if I can pull it off...

Edit: For some reason the ingame emails wont send to either Crimson Archer or Dante...do you know if they still play the game or is email only a one-sided thing (you can only send email from heroes to heroes and villain to villain)?

    no blinds

also a tip regarding the garbled tells...while backspace doesn't reply to them, you can use /r to reply to them if you don't zone/leave mission before replying to them.
  7. Who is currently incharge of the Militia, NHU and I will contact you with regards The gang..infact doing so now
  8. nope they don't add any more damage, the damage is entirely based on the player level, which is why the lower level ones are more sought after than the higher level ones (since they will work when exemped) at level 50 the Mako's Bite proc does 71 points of damage while at level...let's say 1...it will probably only do 4-5 points of additional damage.

    Hope that helps.
  9. Right I have a question.

Now the Unity Vigil, Court of the Blood Countess and The Corporation are large organisations of hero/villains.

Who else out there would be considered a major player?

Could I have the leaders of said large organisations (Zortel and Liz have already been contacted) please contact me either through the forums or emailing me ingame/sending me a tell when I'm online please?

Why, it's for some major upcoming plottage I'm doing, you thought Eds last pranks were big? This one is going to be the biggest yet..
  10. Well I do hold out hope that the many boring TFs are changed now that they know (and have known for quite some time) their original idea of people running TFs (as a group over several play sessions) is and never was true for most people.

Citadel isn't too bad...it can be completed quite quickly (hour, hour and a half max) the only bad thing about it is that it's all Council all the time which to be fair is the entire focus of the TF.

Anyway I can see being forced to zone god-knows how many times as off putting for a newbie but then I remember playing WoW and being told to go talk to some dude who was on the otherside of the zone and I had to run there which took 10-15 minutes of boring running only to be told to go deliver something back to the original contact and run all the way back.

Which is much longer than it gets to take a tram to the zone and get to your contact from one zone on the same tram line.
  11. well that's just incredibly stupid, surely music (much like TV etc.) is covered under the fair usage act where as long as there isn't profit being made you are able to use the material?

Why have you been asked to write a letter requesting copyright permissions when loads of other people don't have to...or is it just Disturbed's record company having a crackdown?

Hmm perhaps begin using somewhere like google videos instead?
  12. Dr_MechanoEU

    no blinds

The thing is most people with 'no blinds' aren't asking for a "we're doing X in X zone fighting X" most people are perfectly happy with "do you want to team?"...five words takes about...what..2 seconds if you're a mediocore typing speed...your telling me you can't be bothered to take 2 seconds out of your day to send someone a tell asking if they want to team?
  13. Just a note Pious...on the ones that youtube have changed the music cuts out within a couple of seconds of it starting...has Youtube given you a reason for the change of music? (considering there are AMV fan videos using the same music yet not changed).
  14. Actually the worst thought out maps are the rare but incredibly dull/painful Defeat-alls in the massive Orabenga map (you know the one, takes ages to clear it from front to back in a straightish line let alone all the mobs) or a 'rescue the more than 1 hostage' in the same map. I hate that map with a passion.

There actually is a reason why you have to kill the bad guys around the object as well as getting the object itself sometimes (I've had missions only on heroside where just getting the glowie in question was enough to complete it...and the reason you never see them redside is the following..) is because back when CoV first came out the devs had forgotten they had a stealth based AT who could complete glowie clicking missions at speed since they could go straight past all the mobs, click the glowie, mission complete XP thank you and then onto the next one. They could do it incredibly quickly at any level and so were levelling quickly just by doing click glowie missions.

The devs responded to this by making it so that you had to kill every enemy within a radius (normally just the room the glowie is in) of the glowie so the Stalker had to actually do some work to get their mission complete.

Edit: Personally with the introduction of merits I've pretty much guessed that the devs simply don't care to fix older content (loads of merits for Boreitrons TF instead of actually making a decent TF...way to go >.&gt though the fact the Hollows got a face lift has given me some hope but the fact that the Hollows was stated to be THE number 1 reason people simply gave up on the game at low level was more the reason for the fix than anything else.
  15. Dr_MechanoEU

    Widow capes!

actually the NW capes would use the same physics etc. as the Trenchcoat tail, affectionally termed a buttcape (since it's a cape which covers your bum and not your shoulders obviously) so there's already stuff in there for it to be used which is why a lot of people can't understand it not being made sooner...

    no blinds

literally all it takes is a simple tell of "interested in a team?" to which I reply sure (with a smiley face) or "No thanks but good luck" there are times when I'm not particularly interested in teaming and want to do my own thing where I can take my own pace, stopping for the occasional ciggarette/tea break mid-mission or just amble around Paragon/Isles for a while.

If your looking for teams for something big, say a Taskforce, I recommend joining Sals Badgehunters on Union, unfortunately I don't know the badge hunter channel for Defiant but I'm sure someone can tell you.

There really does need to be a 'on taskforce' and auto-setting for the LFT thing...the number of tells I get during a taskforce asking if they can join then having to tell them it's no possible thanks to the Taskforce mechanic (which I still think is kinda crappy that you can't invite others once it's started even if you've lost someone from the original team...).

One tell...takes about 4-5 seconds to type out...even if it's just "Team?" I'm not the kind of person that asks for a 'you interested in a level X team in X zone doing X missions?' tell, just a simple Tell beforehand would be nice.
  17. Edward grinned, "ahh so it was Infinitron that did the killings, oh well, a lesson learned but information gained.."

Edward leaned back in his chair, taking up a cup of coffee as he rewatched the footage on youtube..."it seems someone else has seen the light that the only way to truly rid Paragon of all criminal elements is to apply a true form of justice that no smarmy lawyer or corrupt Judge can save them from...I wish I could say that it was by my hand they had seen the light but I guess all paths lead to enlightenment...."

Edward chuckled, "guess now is the time to hit and hit hard...one of their brightest and best has seen the light...perhaps it's time to show both heroes AND villains just how powerless they are..."

Edward brought up his plans, reviewing them, "first I need to see if I can pull this off, no point having a plan flounder at the intial stages..."

Edward smiled, "let's see if I can get in contact with this Infinitron first...he may be a worthy ally..."
  18. That mission was exclusive to last Valentines day, sadly it didn't offer a badge or anything to really commerate the occasion.
  19. I laughed at that probably more than I should have it is late but that was awesome Canine
  20. Heh should have also pointed out that I hadn't adjusted to the normal level of which I set IOs when I make builds in Mids, all of the generic IOs are level 30-40 as are 90% of the set IO's (this is for exemping reasons mostly).

The Set slotting on Footstomp was simply because there was nothing else in the PBAoE sets that lept out at me..Scirocoo's Dervish is hella expensive although I've not seen the price of the Obliteration set so i will probably keep it as generic IO's (since the PBAoE sets don't offer any Psi res in any way for their set bonuses) with 2 Acc, 3 dam, 1 endredux.

I may reduce the slotting on the Passives from 3 to 2 apart from RPD, isn't the steadfast IO stupidly expensive...I am not a rich player and most of this inf has been earnt with lucky drops on a level 50 with the initial start of it (it was enough to afford 5 out of 6 for 3 Impervium armor sets) and the rest has been picked up as and when I can, I don't farm and I don't play the market so money actually is of object for me.

To be honest Weave I really picked because it seemed logical and there was nothing else at 50 that I wanted and could be three slotted, Invuln doesn't 'need' weave the same way it needs Tough IMO but it is a nice bonus will slot it with franken slot def/end set IOs though which shouldn't be too expensive.
  21. I'm agreeing with the above post, before I applied the CoV collectors edition code (also comes with a months free game time) and the dates for my Veteran rewards haven't changed...will double check my PlayNC account now to see if they vet rewards have been bumped back a month

Edit: hasn't been bumped back a whole month, it's gone from the 26th of Feb to the 2nd of March...interesting...though I have the theory that because the monthly bump date puts it during the Christmas holidays (normally get vet rewards on the 26th of November) they've only bumped it a bit.
  22. There is a build posted on the US which actually does nearly self-cap all defence bar Psi (44.1%) without Invincible turned on, it costs quite a lot of inf I believe (not sure how expensive Kinetic Crash sets are) but it coloured me Impressed.

Personally building my Invuln/SS to fill the Psi gap its resistance has using a moderately expensive build (around 150mil inf...which is nothing these days compared to the billion inf builds I've seen going around) it thankfully includes no Purple sets...will post it here for you review.

    +2.84% Resistance(Toxic)
    +34.2% Resistance(Psionic)
    +7.5% RunSpeed

This is the joy of IO sets, one person can build for def while others can plug gaps, I could push the boat out further and get around 40-45% Psi resistance but that would be sacrificing all other normal resistances, whereas 34% is nicely equal with my other non s/l resistances.

Edit: Please ignore the slot levels..I tend to have a habit of suddenly going 'oh yeah...that power needs slots!' when using Mids.
  23. Just to further add, after looking up on the Wiki, the Valkyrie costume set also comes with it's own sword...as if Broadsword didn't have enough options already for me to choose from...curse you!
  24. There's 1 new booster pack (the aforementioned Magic booster) coming 'soon' (whenever that may be...could be tomorrow, could be when Positron physically explodes from eating an entire cheesecake...it's not something he normally does hence the explosion) and there's also the Valkyrie pack for PC users, the Mac version comes with it as standard.

    laying claim...

    2:19pm
The familiar flicker of TV's followed by static, only for the skull and cog logo to flicker onto screen, normally a sign of chaos to come. However those who kept track of Edwards broadcast would have noted that they all took place in the early hours of the morning, this one was the middle of the day, perhaps hoping to get more attention.

Edward appeared on screen with a smile.

"Don't run in fear just yet Paragon, this is an information broadcast, not one where I announce my genuis plans for causing the fun."

Edward held up a paper with the article about the number of dead villains killed by a high calibre rifle (see Infinitrons pre-plot prep post).

"Now I know what your thinking, why are you holding up that article oh wonderful Doctor Mechano, what is it that you wish to tell us...do you know who did this acts?"

Edward gave a wide grin, "Why yes I do, it was me...let that sink in for a moment, " he paused for a moment, "right lets continue...you may be asking yourself why I did this, it's simple, it is to show that nobody is safe from true justice, while I am in exile in the Rogue Isles I can still get to the scum of Paragon City and instead of sending them to that cardboard Prison known as the Zig, I gave them the ultimate justice."

"Let it be known Paragon, let all quake in their boots for justice will always be served and the penalty for killing the innocent is always going to be death, no smarmy lawyer can save you from the wrath of the Almighty, no legal system can protect you from an avenging Angel of God...live in fear criminal elements of Paragon...live in fear..."

The broadcast cut off suddenly, returning to normal daytime TV.

Meanwhile Edward leaned back and smiled in his chair.

((yes I have talked with Infinitron (it is his plot after all) about doing this))
