    hehe thanks siggy xD

to the Original Poster if you tell us what you plan to use the toon for we will be able to help more.
  2. Does anyone know what is the exact length of phase granted by TpFoe when they victim(target) re-appears??

And if you start a long animation attack like Total Focus does the damage caused hit at the time of the activation or when the animation finishes??

Basically if I TP foe someone and hit TF would the animation time out last the phase time is what i'm after... oh and same question with snipe etc etc...
  3. At first glance.... it looks bloody awful.

What are you aiming to use this for?

Here are first things that jump out at me.

You have capped 2.5% end 5 times !!
    You have no Heal
You are not maxed for Hp
Your main powers are slotted for sets not enchaments
    You have no perception
    You have no Defenses
    You have minimal Resistances
    and
You are wasting Billions on silly IO's
  4. I used a Fire / Mental to super effect, Purpled and softcapped to S/L it had perma drainpsyche and didn't need stamina

only issue was lack of immobilise... I like my farms to be tidy. So immob is a must for me.
  5. I have slotted this toon with 2 things in mind, Recharge, and Recovery...

It will be for playing at level 50, so power choice placement means nothing. Can anyone see anything that jumps out as "wrong" or if something could perform better if it was tweaked....

By the way, it may seem whiney or moany or whatever, but its just not me who watches their team mates get trashed repeatedly do to a new AE pwrlvd 50 or there abouts. I wont bother posting any more I have said what I have had to say. Good day.
How do you know they were PL'd in the AE btw?
    Is this an assupmtion?

It is possible to PL in normal content... take the xp outta that too... good idea, genuis!

You do know that it is possible for someone to be PL'd outside of the AE building.

Oh btw, if you take xp from AE guess what... PL'rs adjust and you are not solving the problem.

I doubt that someone could get themselves PL'd from 1 to 50 without learning anything unless they paid for it, in which case the AE building isn't the focus of the problem.

If you encounter someone like this my suggestion is to use your player notes and star system............. Oh and stop moaning about it.

I guess it could get a big boost to improve the set's performance, but if they did that then nothing would really change. The set would still use SK - CAK - SK - CK, and people would still skip all the other powers. The tier 9 would fall even more behind if CAK was improved and people would have even less reason to use EC.

I personally would rather have the set tweaked in a couple of areas. A total redesign makes me nervous. I already have MA characters that I am invested in. My preference is to save the cutting edge design ideas for staff/polearm and whatever other sets are coming down the pipe.
CAK is already perfect, it has a slow effect which in pvp is super considering the travel suppression, it's already hard enough for Melee AT to catch runners and kiters.

    Wow this post is annoying...

    Efficiency = Farming = Powerleveling = Exploiting = Cheating

    Wrong...

Efficiency does not equal farming, I have plent toons that are fast and efficient that cannot farm.

Farming does not equal Powerleveling, they are actually 2 very different things.

Powerleveling does not equal Exploiting, all known exploits have all been plugged.

Exploiting is not our resposibilty to fix, it is the developers job to plug these holes.

Cheating is not possible in this game, it is as the developers designed it, there is only clever players and sheep.

    Farming or not

This is a grey area with some people, so i'll clear it up for you.

Whoever it was that sent you that tell was partially right, there have been arcs deleted due to farming but this was not the actual reason, it's actually due to an exploit not the fact that the arc was run more than once.

for example... Rikti Comms officer minions gave luit experience for some time, so all farm missions were loaded with them, it is to do with the Risk/Reward ratio, I loved the boss farm which was a mission with no luits or minions atall just bosses, to be honest there was no risk/ratio exploit there as you were still fighting bosses so im still bitter about that.

This person seems to be one of the "anti-farmers" that will shout blue murder if they get a sniff of someone repeating content for rewards...(which if you think about it IS the whole game)

My stance on it is that you pay your subs, and when i'm in game i'll do whatever I feel like.

There also seems to be some confusion between farming and powerleveling... alot of low levels will beg for farms when what they actually want is PL. I'm usually the first to explain the difference to them.

So, my point is this... do whatever you like in game. As long as you are doing the work you deserve the benefits, as long as you are not exploiting then you are free to run whatever mission you like as many times as you like.

The CoX engine is a joke for PvP. If PvP was really a high priority for devs, there would be a lot more happening than the little changes that occur that don't really do much to make the entire system operate better. If you can't tell that, then I'm not sure why you're even here.

You're suggesting that changes that would greatly improve the effectiveness of a power and powerset in PvE where it is used substantially more often (do you really want to try and argue this?) should be cast aside exclusively because they would negatively affect your performance in PvP (which is still kinda funny when you realize just how powerful EC already is in PvP and you just want to make it stronger). Personally, I don't think the devs should apply the AoE damage nerf to the power (especially since it's largely there as a bonus to the power, not as a fundamental attribute of it). I'm not even sure why that rule exists in the first place since it's not like players stand around together allowing you to get huge gains out of AoEs, and AoE powers already take penalties to end and rech because they can affect multiple targets.

I'm also rather amused that you didn't comment on the sheer plethora of secondary effects and mez effects that the set would get in "exchange" for the EC "nerf" in PvP (though that would assume you want the set to not be able to 2 shot anything you see in Siren's Call and would rather see it perform on a roughly similar level to the rest of the melee sets; go figure).
Here's another post that you will have to defend yourself from.

    Quote:

    - Yes true, that's why I suggest you leave the set alone, only thing I mentioned before was Focus Chi and that was because it related to a previous post saying make FC like Rage, not exactly but unsure how it would differ.
So that was an example... I didn't quote figures, %'s this should be that and that should be this etc etc...

So if that is the suggestion that you refer to, explain how Build Up is the very reason why the power is largely useless in the first place. <-- ( your words btw)

    - The CoX engine for pvp is not the topic for debate, neither is the priority in which the dev's rate it.. so tbh if you can't tell that i'm not the one that shouldn't be in forums.

Yes your changes that benefit you to make the powerset the way you like it should be cast aside, I suggest that that if you want a PvE set go play with Dual Blades or Electric Melee, you know, the two brand new powersets that have been given specificallty with PvE in mind.

    Sooooooooooo,

In conclusion your idea to change MA into a PvE set is selfish and narrowminded.

How about we ask the devs to make all other PvE sets single target damage, you wouldn't like that would you?

The critical damage only applies to the first target and is equal to the full damage of the power (i.e. 2.28 damage scale). When Focus Chi is active, the power provides an additional 1 mag of stun.

Non single target damage means that the power is greatly nerfed dmg wise in PvP in addition to your scaled nerf already...

Sorry but this suggestion is bad... and tbh annoys me too because you are suggesting and asking dev's to take away something that many pvp'rs enjoy.

Suggesting changes to powers that only benefit your category of play style (pve) is very selfish.

PvP'ers have taken enough nerfage for the sake of non pvp'rs already.
    Enough is enough!

Increased Crit + Increased proc firing in PvP is better than inc dmg.

Proc damage is unresistable and Crit speak for themselves.

I don't think this would effect Ma badly in PvP
  19. I hope you actually have fat fingers and all those characters are actually from you missing the keys....

but otherwise, thank you for working that out, 75% becomes 40.5%

What does this mean that a blaster would need to roll to hit me??

With and without BU + Aim?

    hehe, now it get complicated.
  20. I would suggest if anything...

Focus Chi - (instead of Build up effect) - Increases the chance for Crits and %'s on proc chance for damage for x number of seconds.
  21. I use

    /macro ATK Petcom_all Attack Passive

means that they will attack until the target is dead and then revert to passive mode, better than the standard Attack aggressive command...

There is also one to plant them, petcom_all stay
or something like that so you can spamm it.

wish it was more cut n dry tho.
