    A name request?

    I'm not sure if you're aware of this but there is a command to get the global name for the person holding the name you want. If you type /getglobalname, sam swift it will give you the person holding the name currently.

  3. I'm looking to see if I'm on the right path for my dark/dark scrapper. I had him shelved for a year and recently dusted him off for an incarnate push. My main goals were s/l/n/e defense of around 35% so a small inspiration should push me to soft cap status and decent recharge, only at 42.5% so not overly satisfied here but I'll live.

    The build is about 95% done with a few missing IO's to fill out a set or 2 unless I totally messed up with what I'll need for incarnate runs. Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

  4. I've decided to unshelve my dark scrapper and have slowly been building him to where I think he needs to be. Against normal content he seems fine but I'm not sure how he will handle the incarnate content with the debuffs. My goal was s/l/e/n defense around 35 and I've hit that goal but my recharge is only at 42.5 before hasten, I think that's low but then again I'm used to an SR toons so my view maybe biased.
    I'm hopefully posting this correclty as it's my first time posting a build from Mids on the forums for anyone to pick apart and let me know if I'm on the right path.

  5. I'm thinking of rolling a new troller up. I'm leaning towards gravity/time for a concept build of sorts and was wondering how they blend, is there synergy between the 2 sets? Any thoughts on the pairing would be most helpful.

    Dark/Dark/?

    A little background first. I build certain toons for concept/theme and these are usually my dark based creations(dark/dark/dark defender, dark/dark/soul troller, dark/dark/dark scrapper). Well now I'm working my dark dom to 50 and I've recently gotton to 41. I was planning on following the same path and go with Ghost Widows path for soul but during my hero-vigilante-villain switch I took the ice APP to hold me till I could complete my dark path of destruction. The problem is I think ice may be a better choice with sleet and ice storm compared to dark oblit and soul drain. The question is which one would the dom population choose and why. I'm not looking for build advice, already have both planned out on MIDS and I'm not really worried about the numbers because in the end everything will drop all I really need is to be swayed to one or the other as I'm completely torn.

  7. I'm sitting at 124% without hasten on, I did use the purple sleep set and the purple confuse set as they are very affordable as purple sets go. If you avoid purples then go with malaise set in confuse(5 in set for 6.25%), basilisk gaze in your holds(4 in set for 7.5%), call of the sandman in your sleeps(5 in set for 6.25%). That should get a good start, then go with Decimation in ranged attacks(5 in set for 6.25%). Depending on additional power choices, melee(crushing impact 5%) vs AOE/PBOA(posi blast 6.25%/Obliteration 5%). Then don't forget the defense choices(hover,combat jump,manuevers,stealth pool) to plug the LOTG proc(7.5%). Just remember the rule fo 5 of any one set bonus.

  8. I've leveled up a mind/fire to 50 and I'm currently leveling a mind/dark up, I'm by no means an expert on doms but I can tell you what has worked for me.

    For power selection in mind, the only powers I skipped were levitate and telekinesis. For the attack chain I use, I open with mass confusion followed by confuse on any that weren't hit with the initial attack, then I swap between mesmerize and dominate till things drop. On the harder targets I cycle through my secondary attacks more frequently focusing on harder single targets then dropping more AOE on the rest of the group depending on the numbers, mass hypnosis, total domination and the big hitter AOE from my secondary.

    One thing to do to really make your dom shine is decide on a build type, what I mean is are you going for the permadom build or going more defensive style(soft capped defense). While I prefer the permadom with tons and tons or recharge to get me double or triple stacked domination, it isn't required to be an effective and very strong dominator. Find what works for you and build to that, enjoy the build and you'll enjoy what it can do more.

    As far as dark assualt goes for a secondary and what others may say about it, I really like it on my dom. It may not have the damage of fire but I find it really good with strong single target attacks.

    I've finally decided to rebuild my claws/sr brute and for the most part I've gotten him where I like him with the only real question being PVP IO's. I've saved enough merits to get the Glad Armor Proc for the build which will allow me to use different sets to get a slightly higher recharge and keep my soft capped defense. The tougher question is even though I'm SR would the Shield Wall unique also be beneficial to me? The IO recipe is currently in merit range of another toon I have but wasn't sure if I should bother with the recipe due to the resist bonuses and I'm a defensive set.

    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  13. I've finally decided to unlock the alpha on my mind/fire dom and was looking for some advice on which one to unlock. I know the goal for most doms is perma domination and I'm sitting at 123.5 global recharge without hasten currently, so my question is go for either spiritual/agility for the recharge bonus or do I go with something else since I believe I have perma dom and hasten attained

    Any advice on this would be most appreciated.

  17. I would love a scrapper event, my only problem would be times as I work every weekend getting off either at 7 or 10 pm est, on Saturday and Sundays. Depending on what is decided I could show up either a little later or at every other one with one of my dozen or so scrappers
  18. The Liberty server looks to be starting an mm event on Monday the 19th at 9pm EST. This looks to be something like your looking for, it is a blue side mm event though.

  22. Just a quick glance but I did notice that you went over the rule of 5 and aren't getting some of the bonuses as a result( 5% recharge from CI,DW and Oblit sets). I have a buid I can post when I log on from home, not a super build but it has served me well.

  24. Here's my current build I'm using. He fits what you're looking for with a natural concept, no travel power, no purples and soft capped defenses. I did frankenslot my attacks for a higher recharge rat in them as opposed to set bonuses, currently thinking of changing my attacks to 3 from ToD and CI sets for +HP bonuses.

  25. Well I should....errr..make that I'll hopefully make it. I have several toons that need the badge, or is it just want the badge and my current main sitting at 41 if needed to form team. I've only done this trial once and found it a blast, course it was on my ill/storm troller which meant total chaos was brought forth .

    But I can offer any number of scrappers, few trollers or even big Doc my dark defender to help with this.
