Heck, it's the only advantage we get out of that lounge anyways.

I did the father time mission last night, must say that is the ugliest baby I've ever seen. I mean, all babies look like Winston Churchill, but this one looks like Churchill after a hard night drinking.
Although watching it try and get up the cliff had me in tears. -

After spending a good few hours SBin and TPin people by the slopes, i might try and get the badges tomoz
Tried it twice and first attempt was something like 1 min 52 seconds . . . on the old slope!!!
The new slope . . . . . well lets say the timer reset.
Was good fun having races down them backwards though!

Was that you that shot me as I left and caused me to well overshoot the first turn! -
As one of the badges for this accolade is patroller you will always gain time for this when logged off.
However other accolates will require you to log off in the location of one of the 2 badge locations. -
It was acting like that from day one. I was teaming with 3 pairs (I was in one of them) and we were all having similar experiences.
Archie's explaination pretty much sums up how I think it works. It does have the draw back of not being able to count on a level when you expect it. -

Action shot is not the best one. Here's one which shows combat and idle stance.
Looks great in idle, but in combat it's kinda weird looking imo.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you rotate it 90 then it will look great in combat and weird in idle. Can't have it both ways.
The way it is now looks like it might be able to stab someone with it. -
Cool, finger pointing. You are wrong in pointing the finger at SteelRat as he has already apologised.

The WW teleporter is perhaps an exception, since it's benefit is minimal in any case, and charges would probably be better. However, I suspect the very low value of this power would lead to any changes being very low priority.
[/ QUOTE ]
If they were doing charges it should be reset upon every login, otherwise it's open to exploit by racking up tons of charges on it. 1 per 12 hours logged off. -
Thank you for posting those, I needed a new haircut.
Pity that the effort of putting that in game would outweigh the benifit, would be very cool. One day! -
Make a bind for it, or a macro.

Monitor Duty kicks in if you log out inside your base, or beside a base portal.
That's because, when you log back in, you appear beside the base portal you entered your base from.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks, that makes sense. The Day Job icon doesn't appear when you are in base which is why I was wondering. -

Can't be having tubby heroes, can we?
[/ QUOTE ]
Why not?! that was the first thing I wanted to create. -

I've never seen the round one on the bottom right, or the one to the left of it, but the two further left are quite common in-game ones.
[/ QUOTE ]
Given all the earlier talk of norks, this post just made my head go all funny... so Sister Psyche has a round one on the right, two on the left and another inbetween???
I'm just glad that GG did all the hard research on this...
[/ QUOTE ]
I think the one on the right, and the one in between may be Ghost Widow's, and the two on the left are Sister Psyche's... -
Depends on whether my machine will run it or not. If so, then yeah, probably.
-
What do you get for logging off in the base? As far as I can tell the only one related to SG bases is the Monitor Duty and thats the base portal, which I thought was the portal to access the base in the city zones.

I guess my problem with it is they're all weapons that feel archaic. Sure people do still use clubs and shields in modern days and god knows swords turn up plenty enoguh in sci fi, but they're not common enough to justify the number of sets given to them!
In short, where the hell is our dual pistols set?
[/ QUOTE ]
Really? From earlier in the thread... not that many really.
[ QUOTE ]
As a side note CoH has 74 power sets of which 18 are weapon based (that's counting traps, devices and AR) so less than a third of the coh power sets actually use weapons.

Ahahaha that is brilliant Larac. I've been teaming with a Santa toon recently, the number of good jokes available is brilliant.

Define 'fantasy'...
[ QUOTE ]
1. imagination, esp. when extravagant and unrestrained.
[/ QUOTE ]
This whole game is fantasy.. and yet most of the weapons aren't, as they are mostly firmly based on real weapons/sheilds. -
I got that one too last night I believe... can't remember exactly.

Not a bad suggestion, but blasters would get the hospital one WAY too fast!So would people mooching about in Wentworths...
[/ QUOTE ]
Quoted for triple emphasis.
I agree this is a good suggestion, as you could work towards the ones that require you to be in a specific zone while playing and then go to a place like the hosp to log out. -
That same trick was used in Lois and Clark too, IIRC.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Well, to be fair, I rarely do. I have to hover over them to see it, it's usually in a tiny font, and hidden by some other text as well.
The character names though... they burn! They burn my eyes!
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, but you will only see the base names when entering a base, and you see the SG names the same then too. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm not denying it might be nice, but given the names people come up with for characters, I can only say that I'm happy I'll never see the names they might come up with for bases.
[/ QUOTE ]
How is it any worse that the names they come up with for SG's which you see now? -

I don't think the salon was the point here... I think it was the possibility of animated hair.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, but the quote actually gives no suggestion of animated hair.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, but thats what the OP read into it, and why they started the thread.
