While I have a SG already I'd just like to say I teamed with a pair of you over the weekend (Hess TF I think, or maybe Moonfire) and it was a good team and very enjoyable banter.
-
Not joining earlier, I'm just at 18 months or so now. Was with someone who wouldn't have understood the fixation with the game so didn't join till we broke up.
Also, not teaming when I first started. As someone said above, I was worried I'd be useless and people wouldn't like me. Turns out I was half right, I'm still useless but in a fun, debt fullfilled way. -

Quote:There are no true reflections in the water at the moment except on the I17 testing. So if you're not in it you won't see it.Just to note, I am not in I17 testing or Going Rogue Beta.
For a while now I have been wondering why my friends with Water quality set to high were seeing reflections when I was not. Their computers have worse hardware than mine and even lower graphics settings. My graphics settings are all at their maximum levels and still I see no reflections in the water. The graphics card I'm using is an Nvidia Evga 2gb GTX 285. I am using the 196.21 driver. -

Quote:Except by the end of the first line I knew who he was talking about.I love how your thread title and the first two paragraphs of your post only hint at what the heck you are talking about. Yes, let us refer to the entire topic of our conversation with nothing more than a pronoun, it will be fantastic. It would be like if a doctor went out to talk to the family of a patient with a mysterious illness and hinted that they know what is killing them, but kept saying "it" instead of actually naming the disease. Hyperbole? Yeah, of course, but that doesn't make the OP any less indirect, does it?
In fact, if you read the first paragraph in a strictly grammatical way... the only real object to which "she" could be referring is the "Midnighter's Arc" itself or your team. But, I have never heard an arc or a team referred to as a she. Either way, it gives a pretty comical reading to your post.
I believe, the name you are looking for, you know, the entire subject of your post, is: Lady Jane. -
Quote:Amen to that, if a team doesn't die a bit it's not working hard enough.Dawk Dwarfs- like buttuh they ah!
Oy! I'm schvitzing like a pig just thinking abowt it! Tawk amunst yuhselves.
EDIT: My perfect team: 8 reckless psychotic berserkers surviving every fight by the skin of their teeth.
8 troller teams are quite unstoppable. And therefore, boring and lame. I'd rather play a troller with 7 blasters with itchy trigger fingers and no fear of death.
Was doing Gordon Bower's (sp?) first arc in Croatoa on Friday with a random group. For some reason, where the cave branches off the sewers there were tons of enemies... I would say hundreds, not sure, but they kept coming. We managed to pull through by the skin of our teeth, almost all in the red. Was manic, hectic and what this game should be about. -
Nope, you're not, this is what I was thinking too, funny it took 12 pages to come up.

Quote:Thanks, that was very helpful. this is what i was looking for btw:
NUMPAD1 "+$$powexec_name Speed Boost$$teamselect 1"
I use this without the +$$ at the start and the team select the otherway round. I have noticed sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. I'll have to try this way, thanks. It's also usefull for CM too. -

I don't think you would have to press it once for each item, but I'm not sure you could bind 2 emotes together as it runs them at the same time, so likely you'd get the clap and gratz only with each press of the F5

Quote:I'd consider myself a casual player, especially when leveling my first 50. I went back to him recently to add some IO sets in and found there was around 400 mill inf sitting there. In the course of his career I mostly sold recipies and salvage to the stores and slotted DO and SO's. I was unaware of how the market worked and too lazy to work it out.So, the arguement being that, because some people who can spend a lot of time just grinding 50s can get up to 2billion, by that reasoning everyone can?
Sorry, I'm not buying it. The only time, through casual play, that I've seen anything over 100million is first because a friend was incredibly generous (helped they were the sort of person who *does* have all day to run TFs, etc) and the second because I got two and thus far my only purple drops in one mission, one of them being one of the blast ones (Not sure which one now)
Minority Capability! = Majority capability
On my second 50 (I only have the 2 so far) I sold at the market and have a him almost fully slotted with IO sets and have a few million to spare that I am wasting on getting the crafting badges. (which will be easier once I can post myself recipies)
It's NOT that hard really to get Inf in this game. -
Quote:You'll probably find that hasn't been updated in a year given how often the EU websites get updated.Lack of EU boxes may also have something to do with: http://eu.ncsoft.com/en-gb/jobs/index.html

Quote:But if it was an untintable graphic then it might be possible. There are already a couple of examples like this in the game, such as the row of medals. If you mean an outline, or two color, representation of the badge selected on the capes; then I dont see a huge problem, but if you mean a full color badge; then probably not. Just saying since the capes are inherently two color so far, and I'm not sure if the mechanics would be easy or not; SCR applies.

Quote:Hmmm, But if you have superjump on do you accelerate as you fall? Because if you SJ from the top of a building you take damage upon landing on the ground.I think this is done by the speed you hit the ground at, which is dependent upon how far you've fallen. The game doesn't remember how high you were when you started falling, though.
Maybe it records how long you have been falling for? -
Quote:One thing to note however is that not all countries identify with their flag as much as the US do. Picking the 3 off that list that I am familiar with NZ national colour is Black, Austrailia is Green and Gold and Holland is Orange. If you were to do themed characters for those countries you'd likely use those colours over red white and blue.Just as a side note, here's a list of countries/colonies that use the colors red, white, and blue in their national flags...
Just bringing those up as a way for you to go even further with the "patriot" concept, as in you could be the Spirit of Patriotism...or something, I dunno, I think I'm rambling now. -
Quote:But it is half your power choice life. While I don't disagree that 24 feels like a long time for these purposes, I wanted to point out that 24 is not "almost halfway" through your playthrough experience. The time it takes to level tends to increase with level, meaning getting to 25 isn't half the time it will take you to 50. I would put this more like "around one third" of the way through your play through.

Quote:If they did this they should also display the price the buyer paid and the price the seller put it up at so we can see who the stupid buyers who are paying 10 million for a luck charm listed for 1000. Then when you come complain we can demonstrate it's your own fault.i still would like to see a more defined market interface. with jus a tad more information as to the buying and selling history...names of sellers, ppl are less inclined to be ebil, when there name is clearly stated next to the items they are selling. and as far as i know, transfering items/monies hasnt happened yet, so no bank toons lol, no wait it wouldnt work anyway since CoX utilizes a Global ID, you can hide in this game, but you cant really HIDE. ppl with multiple accounts could pull it off tho, maybe
I think you need to explain exactly how you envisage the BuyitNAO button of yours would work as I've seen others hypothesise, but nothing from you on what the hell it is. I don't and haven't played WoW but it sounds like a completly different system and you'd have to bring it all over for it to work like it's been explained here. -
Quote:What if you had to repurchase GR, the 4 booster packs, and any other perks you had? I'd be happy with the option to restart on the NA servers without my toons or vet rewards, but would not want to have to repay for items I already own.Yes, you're right. However, I still think that phrases such as 'EU players SHAFTED!' are not helpful and only serve to get people's backs up, as evinced by my own reaction.
Eco.
EDIT: Incidentally, and this doesn't have any bearing on other people's choices, I understand this, but if for some reason the US servers were closed and I was offered nothing more than the chance to start again from scratch on the EU servers, with a reasonable guarantee that the player numbers there would be equivalent of what I currently see on Freedom, I would, even if I'd lose all my toons and vet rewards etc. -
Quote:I've read through your post, and this is just rude and stereotyping. I'm an EU player, in London, but I'm not a Brit and nor are many of the people who are in here complaining. I'm dissapointed we don't get a box because I'm on a capped download package which means downloading a 3-4gb game (given that there is a 900 odd mb download on the test at the moment of just the UM version of the current game 3-4 isn't out of the question) would take a serious chunk out of my allowance and possibly mean they will restrict my access for the rest of the month. I would much rather go into Game and pick up a tangible DVD I can stick in my machine.I know that Brits like to moan, I'm a hated figure in my local branch of Empik (Polish version of Virgin) because of my demanding customer service requirements, but you lot seem to me to be bellyaching about a lot of really minor crap. I feel for you if you think you don't have large enough server populations - I actually shudder when i think of being made for some reason to move to the EU servers, mostly because of the fewer players that I hear are there (and I've got no actual numbers to look at) and the comparitively small number ofservers - but ranting in caps about GETTING SHAFTED because they're only releasing GR digitally in the EU is way over the top IMO. It's EASY (I don't care what Luddites on dial up think) to purchase GR in the EU. With prepurchase, you'll be able to take advantage of a pre-download too, very probably, as they do with the normal upgrades, so when you log off, it'll dl and ready the game for you while you're asleep. This is speculation on my part, of course, but even if they don't, waiting overnight for it to dl is NOT an onerous task for any mature person. Screaming 'I WANNA BUY IT IN THE SHOP TODAY, I WANTS IT NAOW!' just looks childish.

Gets my vote. Best and Fairest Solution for everyone all rounds I'd say.

Roll a empath on both your accounts and stand in a fire and healing each other would probably work I guess.
