Don't you taunt our mods with false threats!!!
EDIT: Oh, and kitteh KAH-YEWT! -
I didn't know Team Teleport worked like that. Yeah, I'll agree that that's kind of useless, and am glad I never took it.
Luckily, I already knew Group Fly was a PITA fairly useless power. -
Exactly. Some things are regional. Other things are environmental ("That's what all my friends call it!"). The endpoint is, you really can't tell jack from what word a single object is called, because there are too many variable reasons why they might.
Brillig thinking he can tell something from that one word is what's usually known as "stereotyping". -
I HAVE heard there's some issues with South American stuff on the CC side (from South Americans having issues). But I think it's a "known issue" with the South Americans because of their system of doing things.
-
Sidebar: It may be just my weak machines, but on Particle Effects, nothing between 1000 & 5000 ever seems different to me. It doesn't become noticeable until I turn down below 1000.
-
To be honest, do you really need to see your character? I know you'd prefer to, but even if I can't see them, I know they're in the center of the screen like they always are.
'Course, I have my name flagged to "Always visible" in the settings, so that helps me. -
If you can get on a connection that will work, then sure. I don't think South Korea is heavily internet restricted, but I don't know for sure.
-
Eh, it happens. There's almost always some global glitch with new issues. This one was just ahead of schedule.
-
Jetpack has it right. I, personally, would only feel constrained if Victory started having Freedom numbers (and while it's not going to happen, I would still stay, just feel "crowded"). But you get my names only at the business end of a gun!
-
I don't think either thing would ever happen until the death knells are already ringing.
-
Don't make him nom. You wouldn't like him when he noms.

Quote:Oh, please. Admitting to enjoying a little schadenfreude isn't punk behavior, it's normal.
MunkiLord keeps stiff:
Fair enough. But bragging about it on the forums also makes someone a punk, tool, or whatever term one prefers.

You do realize the city in question is just one step above a war zone, right? Me, I'm still somewhat surprised there are civilians left at all, let alone traffic.

Quote:Actually, we have a fairly versatile difficulty adjuster (Notoriety) that can make things as easy or difficult as you want. There are also Task Forces and Trials which are a series of themed missions requiring minimum amounts of people that are in general more challenging than running missions, but they often require a couple of hours commitment or more.
Tangogulf2 has more questions:
Many of the replies indicated that no particular type of class is needed in an instance/group (And yes, I come from the "holy trinity" type mmorpg). In these types of mmorpgs, the instance that does not require the trinity could be viewed as one that is not challenging. One of the things that attracted me to this game is reading posts that indicated that grouping is needed at times ( I read this as the game has challenge). So is their challenge in the grouping? Where am I getting confused here?
Quote:Super groups. I take it super groups are guilds? If the game is heavily instanced and not much population is immediately available in the open world. Is the best place to search one out on the server boards or is there someplace in game. -
Converts sometimes get a little...zealous.

I would not object. Heck, I'd like a lot more rag-dollin' all around.
-
Quote:True. I meant to mention the level 20 omission, but I've got like 8 windows open and forgot.
Jetpack notes an exception:
Frosty said this:
"Just as an FYI all new accounts will only be able to create characters in Praetoria until they have reached lvl 20 with one of them and then they will unlock the ability to create characters in Paragon City or the Rogue Isles."
Post said the first character has to be made in Praetoria, per the quote above. Nothing about having to get to lvl 20. Sounds like the 2nd character can be in Paragon or the Rogue isles.
Edit - unless there is another quote floating around.I didn't finish the article, though, it may be further down.

And the race is on (we have competition helpfulness here
)!
Here's a link to your new best friend, one of the best Wikis in the gaming industry, ParagonWiki! You may find other things under the Titan Network umbrella to be helpful and/or fun as well. -
Found it in the tentonhammer interview, and the language isn't the least bit ambiguous. Frosty's spot on. From Posi's mouth to our ear:
“We have this alternate dimension, this alternate earth, called Praetoria. When you first start the game, if you’ve never made another character, we force you to start as Praetorian, because that’s our best new player content; that’s our best foot forward.” -
**hic** I don't have as many think as you characters I do!!
-
You just made BBhumeBB's head explode.
-
That's not at all what Frosty's saying.
2:22ish "When you create a brand new character with Going Rogue, you're given a choice of becoming a hero or a villain, or you can become a Praetorian. And a Praetorian hasn't made that choice yet." It goes on from there to discuss how Praetorians work. It says nothing at all about "new accounts can only start in Praetoria" which is what Frosty's talking about. -
Quote:I hope I'm not the only one who "heard" that in Ah-nold's accent.
Dollymistress will be bahck:
Play the game with infra-red goggles on and call it Pre-Da-Tor-ia. -
Pfft...nonsense, Candlejack is just a my
-
Careful, that way leads to altaholism. Then I'll be forced to say...
C'mon in! The water's fiiiiiiiine!
