Battlebabe shows the guys aren't alone:

There is a common misconception in this game that most characters using the "with skin" costume pieces in this game are mostly guys. I submit that bikini 1 and eden bottom and top used together may well be a guy, but it may be a female on the other end of the line also.
Ha! Worst abuser of "maxed chest slider/skimpy outfits" in our SG was a woman.

Also it's a common correct assumption that most of the players in general are male, so playing the odds...you're often right that that "girl" is a guy.

Actually, I think "cynical" is the pre-requisite.

What is not your call is what the best power for a situation is. The situation determines that.

Often, that power can be a primary/secondary rez.
True, but like in evolution, what's best can often be irrelevant as long as what's done "works".

    SpittingTrashcan shows the fears:

    This has been discussed.

Corruptors and Defenders each fear the other will make them obsolete.
Brutes and Tanks each think they'll make the other obsolete.
Masterminds will continue to be powerful, and continue to not get on teams.
Khelds will insist they are FINE.
    VEATs will be FINE.
Controllers will not be threatened by Dominators, but Blasters will be.
    Scrappers will be scrappers.
And Stalkers will get no respect.
It's all so silly. In reality, unless you're cruising with some highly anal retentive min/maxers, you're going to team with who shows up and not be fussy, pretty much like now.

    Hardly noticeable.
Did Sister Psyche Thursday. As you note, I barely noticed.

    A New question-

Call Me Awesome has me see the silver lining:

Oh my... yeah, you ABSOLUTELY need a respec on that character. I'd STRONGLY recommend looking at my Invuln first 20 levels guide (in my signature), your build is in desperate need of help. Just by respec'ing into a better build you'll increase your effectiveness by at least three times, possibly more.
The best part is, as messed up as that build is, it's still perfectly playable. I love a game where you really really have to try to "gimp" a character to really gimp them. It's hard to do accidentally.

This is a slap in every one's face how paid monthly, and didn't get a thing. Some got boni in the worth of hundreds of euro.
Veteran Rewards cannot be purchased and are given away free for time active, so they actually have a monetary value of zero. So no one got a bonus worth even one euro, let alone hundreds.

    Magoo_NA does marketing research:

Here Paragon has this cool IP, City of Heroes/Villains. It's a 3D environment which is fully explorable, with different places to visit, etc.

Would you play a different CO* game which presents aspects of the IP in a different format?

For example, would you play a CO* fighting game, like the Street Fighter series, only featuring CO* signature characters?

Or would you play a 2D platform game, like Dungeon Fighter Online, set in the CO* universe?

Or a RTS version of CO*, done in isometric view, like games like Command and Conquer or Starcraft? Or even like Diablo?

What would you pick? What might you like to see?
I'm one of those weirdos here that's a super-hero geek, not a gamer, so probably not. MAAAAAAYBE if I could somehow use MY characters, but frankly I never much liked "adventure" scrollers or fighters or FPS. An old school RPG possibly, but again, I want to build facsimiles of MY characters, not the CoH signatures.

Of course not. Geez, I don't have rocks in my head.

But I would not feel so all alooooooone...
  10. You make that pun and call him "bad"? Tsk.
  11. Sorry, my computer doesn't have the specs for Ultra Mode so it still looks kind of flat to me, not shiny.
  12. One more WoW reference out of you, and I'm afraid we'll have to confiscate your cape and spandex.
  13. OK, possibly a little more annoying to those with OCD.

Perhaps (there's doubt in both directions...the Rohirrim were certainly holding their own before the Huorns showed up, and then there's Gandalf and the Rangers), but better planning would have been to get his firewood elsewhere rather than honking off the neighbors. Bad execution.

    Origin Powersets

Oh, if that's what it was, then I agree. You can usually justify most characters as any of the origins, if you try. Heck, most fit two or three without trying, depending on one's perspective.

Take Dec for example. He was born with his powers, so some might put him under Mutant, but he was created in a laboratory, so Science and Tech could equally be justified. He's one of a kind, so I suppose he could be Natural (for him, anyway). And the energy that was used to make him came from a meteor infused with energy from the Well of the Furies, so I could justify Magic as well.
  16. At worst, it's a little annoying. Exactly what impact besides "must wait a second or two" does this have on "normal mission content"?

That said, I do favor the "shorten the rez" rather than lengthening the wait as a solution.
  17. One mustn't ignore extremely powerful ancients right next door. Nor go on their property and kill their "children".

One also mustn't treat the Rohirrim like children, base a large part of the plan on a slippery weasel type, handwave the fact that your greatest foe escaped...yeah, lots of things wrong there...

I'm getting an "access restricted" from that link. Is it in the GR Beta forum or something?

Jack = Dark Lord seems to be the only logical conculsion we can come to.
I'm thinking more Saruman. He's very powerful and has a plan...that he executes horribly.

Oh, sure, piss off the Ents. Thaaaaat's a good idea...

Cedo_nulli will have to offer a disclaimer:

Thanks for all the tips, surprised I forgot (or didn't know) you could turn xp off that should help. Any chance the earlier task forces can be soloed I only ever did one and I remember feeling rushed the whole time to keep up, or maybe I'm just slow.
Heh, you may have to "advertise" a "slow Posi" or something. RUSH RUSH RUSH does seem to be the predominant team playstyle around, unfortunately, and that's not even taking into account the Speed TFers. Consequences of them being 2-3+ hours long and people wanting to shorten it (although it seems like most teams of any type I get on are in a big hurry).
