Apologies if I've jumped into the middle of something here, but I have to agree that the Incarnate system is not a part of Going Rogue.

Quote:Hey, before this, you had to buy City of Heroes to access any bit of the game. Going Rogue and Kheldians and Controllers and all the purchasable costume pieces had City of Heroes as a prerequisite.Content that only comes with the purchase of an expansion is part of that expansion (at the time that the system came out, it required the purchase of that expansion in order to access it).
I bought City of Heroes a long time ago. Obviously, since that was a requirement before, it's all included now. There shouldn't be a Paragon Market for me. -

Agreed! This game is completely breaking every real law of physics! How dare they depict things like people who form swords of fire, shoot people with mind beams, twirl around firing pistols in all directions and hitting only foes!

Just remember: that proc is from a purple set, which means each piece is unique and can only have one per build.
I think this is a good time to point out that the first two set bonuses of Soulbound Allegiance are far better than the last three. By splitting the set up like I did, you double the benefit of the best part of the set.
The purple set is also the only way to slot recharge into henchmen summons. Granted, the recharge in no way benefits the pet, but it will allow you to re-summon them sooner. -

Quote:Huh. That explains a few situations where I 'randomly' died. The one flaw with this plan is that you have to be able to take the hit without relying on the Bodyguard Sharing before the damage can be shared out.
If the incoming damage is 1000 HP worth (and you have 0% native resists) and you've only got 900 HP on your Health Bar, you'll be overkilled by 100 HP (and all your Pets will faceplant with you without taking any damage themselves) ... rather than taking 250 HP yourself (2/8ths of 1000) and sharing out 125 HP to each of your (6) Pets, and surviving the blast.
So there are some edge cases where massive Damage Per Attack can "pierce" Bodyguard Mode and your inherently small Green Bar can be a liability, rather than an asset. In solidarity with U-2 Pilots (and the "weirdnesses" of the flight envelope they have to live with), I prefer to think of these situations for Masterminds as being "Coffin Corner" circumstances.

Apologies, I didn't mean it the way it came off. The smiley was to denote a joking tone. I was changing the statement to fit myself.
Quote:And furthermore I don't agree. It is quite easy to play a MM by buffing up the pets, setting them on Bodyguard, and then aggro stuff to let the pets wipe them out. I agree Warshades are fun and more strategic than the usual damage AT, but once you get to high levels, there's a lot of "Eclipse-Mire-kill stuff."
Of course, there's quite a bit of variety to controllers, they don't all fit that mold, particularly Illusion. I'm aware that my analogy isn't perfect.
Then again, hardly every Mastermind plays by buffing pets, using bodyguard and going to town. How's Storm, TA or Poison do that?
Just saying. Not really saying. Just saying. -
Quote:Not sure what to suggest as I don't have a ton of experience with Time. The heal will be the best part during a Hami Raid, with the +regen/+Damage power doing a ton of work as well. Defense and slows are practically worthless to everyone in a raid.Ok. That is more what I am looking for: specifics. What would you suggest being /Time? Also, how do you go about keeping your pets near for BG but out of AoE range?
And, would I be correct in assuming that by "resists" you mean that Bodyguard mode is essentially "resistance" in that your pets are absorbing a good portion of the damage?
Using Goto commands is the only way to keep your pets where you want them. Alternate between follow and goto to keep them from running off and to keep them from staying too close.
Yes, by resistance I do mean bodyguard mode. Hami damage is irresistable, so all those tanks and brutes have to rely on healing or regen to stay alive and 8/9ths or more of their powersets are absolutely worthless. MMs, on the other hand, will be taking 25% of Hami's damage, but they do have about 1/2 the health points. Still, doing the math, the Mastermind is farther ahead so long as he can keep the pets micro'd. -

Quote:Yellows Phase: I'm a tank. I taunt the mito and keep my pets out of AoE range but still in BG range. 75% resists, Triage Beacon and Aid Self. Then, there must be something I am doing wrong or don't know to do. Care to elaborate?
Blue Phase: I'm a blaster that is in no risk of dying. I tell my pets to target the blues and stay outta the goop myself. Resummon as needed.
Green Phase: Same as Blue.
Hami Phase: Same as Blue, except that now I'm in the thick of it dropping my traps.
I would suspect you could reverse Yellow and Blue phase since your pets are largely melee oriented. -

Quote:The build up proc has one chance to grant Build Up to me when I summon the Assbot.Looks very very nice, but how does that build up proc works? Does the pet gets the BU for a set time?
After that, it really kicks in. Near as I can tell, the proc checks every time the Assbot makes an attack, for every target, but with a limit of one proc per attack. The next few attacks will be boosted, and those attacks can trigger the proc again because I know I have seen the buff stacked. -
Quote:Did not expect either of these two.Week 3 Scoreboard:
St. Martial Pai Gow (Alpha Wolf) 106
Fremont Traffic Jam (Zwillinger) 69
Foster City Stealth (Positron) 70
Pacific Outsiders (Friend of Studio) 121
SF RabidChihuahuas (Crosscheck) 73
Team Robo Dominato (Giant Monster) 92
Los Gatos Bastardos (Clockwork 01) 79
Philadelphia Stars (Skippy Sidekick) 109
This just isn't your year, Posi.
I was really rooting for Crosscheck this week, though, because Giant Monster has a good deal of influence on him. -
Quote:You can see my proctrop slotting in this build for my bots/traps. I use three different damage procs, as well as the Ragnarok proc. Damage procs in powers like this have a chance to go off when you initially cast the power and every ten seconds thereafter. The check is once per enemy per 10 seconds. The Raggy is great for controlling enemies, as well as the hilarity that ensues when people trip on caltrops. How do enhancements that have a %proc work with caltrops? Is it every damage tick? Is the the first damage tick? The first damage tick per enemy? I'm thinking caltrops slotted with a whole bunch %+Damage would ridiculousness. Also, the %Knockdown from Ragnarok would help caltrops control. Any of these idea's viable?

Hover has no cap. There is only the "max flight speed" cap which Afterburner allows us to exceed. Hover has a practical cap, which is three SOs worth of flight enhancements, but that's only due to ED.

I suppose I should mention this build was asked for in the "do it all" thread, after talking about characters that could do anything in the game.
Without Incarnate powers, this character build has solo handled:
+4/x8 spawns (Malta, Arachnos and the like)
AVs
GMs -
I don't agree that I've gimped the build "to rely on outside power pool attacks" because the build has a full chain of beam attacks. The pool attacks are really only there for flavor and set mules. I've already gotten used to Spring Attack; it's fun as hell, awesome looking and provides great control. No way I'm dropping that.
I probably wouldn't use Antidote even if I had it in the build because I don't see Poison as a "keep people alive" set. Most times, I bind a set's heal to my 'v' key, but for this character I've bound the rez in that place for giggles. I'm here to cripple bosses, melt faces, and break bones.
Another word on the concept itself: The character used to be a SS brute, and I've literally kept that in his story. He inherited most of his strength from his father but not the invulnerability, thus why I picked Willpower at the time. He's never been too bright or very nice, and he's smoked a cigar since he was about 11. After developing lung cancer, he was saved by artificial lungs that managed to harness the cancer and the toxins it produces. He's still a big tough dude, and he can hurt people if he punches them, but he's not the up front fighter he used to be.
And he still smokes, of course. -
