Indeed. I obviously don't run at +4/x8 without incarnate powers or frequent inspiration overdose except to try to prove a point.

I do run my daily tips on +0/x8, and Council missions on +4/x8 if I'm leveling my alt account or friends. Both occasions, though, I'm leveraging my incarnate powers and inspiration tray fully.

I'm actually working on a Spines/DA stalker, but I'm not exactly sure he'd be able to do something like this, despite what BruteSquad might say. There is something to be said for the Brute's HP values.

Yes, I did go with energy mastery, but more because I didn't want to add any more redraw into the build than for the added recovery. My first DA character was the DA/Fire tank who went with Earth Mastery for concept and a set mule. I never noticed problems with him, but then again I'm no stranger to conserving endurance or using a few blue inspirations.

I don't think you can discount Dark Consumption, though. When used properly, it allows for even wildly inefficient builds to get by. My Warshade, for example, has terrible slotting when it comes to endurance if he stays in human form running toggles. I only get away with it because I can Stygian Circle every ten seconds or so and get a full bar.

    +4x8 question

Alright, this is an appropriate thread to ask my question in.

I just made a video of +4/x8 soloing brute. All incarnate powers were stripped. I used a single small purple inspiration to defeat Malta. Does it meet the rules for saying I solo'd it?

I'm betting that it was the Theft of Essence proc that triggered a few times when I hit Dark Regen, but the build also has three separate Performance Shifter procs which could technically trigger at the same time.

If you could point me to the timestamp you're talking about, I'll probably be able to say for sure.

For a tank, yes. If you've seen my Dark Armor Sucks video, you'll see that he does burn through endurance pretty quickly. I know how to control that, though, so it never becomes a problem. Mostly that's because rotating in Taunt, a zero endurance time sink, is enough to always keep fighting. I don't use teleport in the manner you're describing, though. It's mostly used as over world travel, or "get me out of caltrops."

The Dark Armor/Martial Arts tank actually burns endurance just as fast as my Dark/Fire, but he had room to get Conserve Power. I burn until I'm at about 15% endurance, pop it, and I'm back to full in no time.

I do have a brute that's built with the go go go play style in mind, and despite all my efforts, I can't burn his endurance out.

    Farm FoTM

I still just do paper missions.
  6. I really do like it, to be honest.

I could move my chain guns to spots that wouldn't fire unless there were visitors that shouldn't be there.
  7. Necro/Storm x8

    Eight Hurricanes.
    Sixteen Tornadoes.
    Twenty Four Zombies.

    Seven frames per second.

    The 0.45%

Indeed. I've always had regrets about my decision to not take a commission, but damnit, now I feel really bad.

Thank you, Geronimo, for your service.

    Welp, never mind.

Oh, I finished my DA/MA already. He is incredible.

I pretty much have the same defense numbers as before, but found room for another 150 HP and a lot more recharge. He now has knockdown and stuns to stack with OG. He loses a little bit of AoE damage, but the ST damage actually goes up. And he's endurance sustainable.
  11. Find it here.

I say retired because I've rerolled him as a Dark/MA. I'm greatly enjoying the reroll, but this build will always have a special place in my heart.

    Longer Bios

I was just wondering if this could be lengthened or if there is a reason why the space to write your bio is so short. I appreciate that there has to be a limit but 1023 characters isnt a lot.

    Discuss
I don't know why you'd want a bio any longer than 1023 characters. Most people won't read it if you use up the 1023, let alone anymore.
  14. Get the DoT. It's that much better.

Also, I think the -res is bugged anyway and isn't applying.
  15. That sounds about right. Tar Patch is a nasty debuff, and that gets mob attention.

Keep in mind the Fire/Dark is still going to take AoE damage.

With no actual taunt, it's anybody's guess who gets hit.

Thanks for the clarification. Yeah, I quite like that idea.

I also agree with Death Shroud's debuff, and have said as much on my own before. Right now, though, there is Icicles, which it compares directly to.

Nothing of what I've said has been any more offensive than your own comments.

I only asked for you to put some concrete evidence up to support your lack of argument.

You would only use OG if it prevents more damage than it creates, therefore there is no additional use of Dark Regen.

Why are you bringing up softcapping?

How about you go back and look at the thread linked far earlier, Arcanaville's scrapper secondary comparison, where it shows that on SOs, Dark Armor is far superior to other sets. Before accounting for OG or CoF.

Again, if you want to be taken seriously, do some math yourself.

    Five, currently.

Two tanks, both at 50. One brute at 50.

One scrapper and one stalker stalled in the 20s.

I had another stalker that I deleted at 43 because I disliked Ninja Blade.

So ... soloing +4/x8 Malta is what's required to satisfy viable? Please.

Again, my tank has done STFs just fine on SOs alone.

Now would you like to try again, except with math?

Because everything we've seen so far contradicts.
