I'm going to refer you to AlienOne's Human Only guide. It's got some good strategy stuffs, but even assuming you know all of that, he posts quite a few good example builds at the end of his guide.

Quote:Could be worse. My brother's name is Daniel, but we all call him by his initials, "D.J."Yeah, I hear that. My family still calls me 'Danny'. I'm 38 years old. I'm Dan, not Danny... ugh...
While he was in high school and working part time, his boss called our house and asked to talk to "Dan." My mom, who answered the phone, replied "You must have the wrong number," and hung up. -
Dark Armor is one of your best bets, especially for stacking stuns.
People who claim Dark Armor is endurance hungry have one of the following problems:
1) No end reduction in attacks.
2) Running Death Shroud with little end reduction.
3) Running Cloak of Fear with little end reduction (or running it at all).
If you get a Theft of Essence proc, all those problems will go away. -
Lightning Rod cannot get the full benefits of brute damage cap, since it's a pseudo pet. For that reason alone, I'd say go scrapper.
Despite what you may hear, Dark Armor is fine on a brute. It generally makes minions not contribute to fury, but fury is easy enough to build by soaking alphas and attacking. -

Quote:Oh, don't worry about that. My warshade isn't the only AT I play, despite how much fun he is.Yes I know the warshade would be for me, I love the idea of switching between a tanking form and blasting form and etc as the team needs, but my main issue with is, it sounds like to much fun, I do not want to end up only playing the at, I am worried it will ruin the others for me including my ill/rad controller. I wished I couldnt unlock it until level 50.
Plenty of times I'll feel like being a tank. When that happens, I play my tank. Likewise with anything I play. I don't say "I want to be a tank" then just shift into dwarf and stay there. A warshade is less "shift as the situation needs" and more "all forms at all times" because they all work together. A warshade can make for a good tank in a pinch, but if what you need is a tank, get a tank. If you want to be the all offense glass cannon of a blaster, get a blaster. If you want a fast moving, self sufficient, crowd controlling, heavily armored weapons platform that might even be putting out as much damage as a blaster, THEN you get a warshade. -
Quote:You're just a little off. I pronounce the "Kai" as ki with a long i sound (the a is pretty much silent), but the s makes a z sound. So it's KI-zon.Now, do you pronounce Kaison like the Kaiser in Kaiser Roll, or like this: Kay-zon, or like this: Kay-son.
And I kinda lied about the "Dex" thing. I mean, that's how it's always been said while I was growing up, but I've learned that the "true" pronunciation (you know, how my great-great-great's said it) is more like "Desh." I think I'd rather be called "Desh" than "Dex" knowing that, but try telling your family to change how they pronounce your name after they've said it another way for 26 years. -
Noooooooooooooooo! I wanted my sixth assist for the topic, not a kill shot!

Try The MFing Warshade!
Perfectly honest here, my warshade is hands down the most fun character I have ever played. Most fun to level up, most enjoyable to play on teams, and the most on the edge, adrenaline packed experience I have ever had in this game. I invite you to read through my guide, as it explains the leveling up process well.

Quote:My point is that it's pointless to measure how powerful you think your chosen AT is by whether or not it can solo an AV.Quote:Those difficulty settings are meant to be difficult, and not everyone can, or should, be able to handle them. To me that's fine.
I maintain that there is nothing wrong with saying Powerset Combination A can handle more difficult things than PC B, therefor PC A is more powerful. If you don't measure power by what a combo can accomplish, then what do you measure it by? -

Quote:All I'm going to say:I think the whole "past the aggro cap on -1x1 if you're not min/maxed" thing was classified as a problem spot, but I just think they were being too picky.
I've done this mission several times on a Ninja Blade/Dark Armor stalker who is currently level 44, and skipped taking fitness since it would be free in i19. He has a frankenslotted build with very few bonuses. My stalker runs missions at +1/x1.
Lethal damage is highly resisted by Malta.
Dark Armor without Stamina doesn't like to run all its toggles at once.
Stalkers do not deal well with ambushes.
I handled it fine. It took some inspirations, I won't lie, but it wasn't insanely hard. -

Quote:I completely understand you, but I'd like to point out I'm not saying tanker damage is bad. I'm just saying it's less than scrappers. I know tanker damage is more than adequate, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do the things in my video. All of the above isn't meant to criticize anyone for rolling a Scrapper or Brute, or to deny that those ATs are generally better at damage by some significant amount than Tankers. It's just to point out that Tanker damage isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination.
I haven't build defense to the exclusion of offense. I made sure my tank is offensive capable. I hit things, and hit them hard enough. But I'm not packed for recharge and damage bonuses. "I know I'll kill you. I don't know how long it'll take, but I know that you won't kill me first."
Again, the following is just opinion, but if your goal is offense, start with the best offensive foundation you can find.
Quote:Hey, more power to you. There is merit in trying to find a balance too though.
There's no right answer. -
Yes, mire gives you unslotted +4.5% tohit per enemy. Potentially, you could have +90% tohit.
Nova gives you +9% tohit. That's pretty good. +13% is better, obviously, but I don't think it's worth slotting for. Base chance to hit even level mobs is 75%, even one accuracy SO puts you at the cap for final chance to hit. -
Quote:This makes no sense. Of course you can measure how powerful something is by the types of targets it can solo.Yes, because the measure of how powerful something should be is in whether it can solo an AV.
Is that the best way to measure how powerful an AT is? Maybe it is.
Is that the best way to measure how much an AT contributes to a team? Certainly not.
