I19 Human-Form WS Build/Slotting - Help Needed!

Like the title says, could use some help building/slotting my human-only Warshade.. And yes, I indeed do want to remain human only, though I'm sure my build could be greatly improved, as well as my slotting.

Below is what I'm currently using, isn't slotted with anything more than common IO's for the most part, since I didn't want to waste money on better stuff only to have to turn around and buy different things once I found a decent build.

As for budget, it'd be super fantabulous if the whole thing could come in under 2-3 billion, if possible. Could go a bit over if needed, it'd just take me longer to finish the build, or to wait and see if the prices simmer down again eventually.

Any and all help is appreciated, thanks!

Yeah, I've already read most of the guides. Only downside is.. they're old. Some of them REALLY old. Whereas I19, she be new.

Seriously? What's different? What might have changed between AlienOne's guide and i19?

Dwarf form can be activated as a break free, and the inherent carries over into forms. You don't care because you're staying human only.

You get fitness for free now. This is a legitimate difference... so pick three new powers. Even if you don't move slots around, pick three set mules for LotG +Rech.

I don't know what might have changed, that's kind of the point of asking for help, the whole "I don't know what I'm doing" factor.

I've read most of the guides I've found, respec'd 3 or 4 times, both for human-only and various form-using builds. No matter which build I do, or guide I base it off, I always seem to end up sucking, so rather than doing it again a 4th or 5th time, decided to ask for help/feedback directly.

I'm not even entirely dedicated to being human-only, it just seems a lot simpler than trying to dance back and forth between forms mid-battle all the time, but maybe that's just me.. PuGs usually aren't a problem, since pretty much even the worst character build can at least do something when there's 7 other dudes there. However the occasional soloing is almost impossible.

even -1x1 missions can often be a hassle, and I've still not gone incarnate due to totally being unable to kill the minotaur EB guy at the well in the last mission.

In Summary: I suck at aliens, but don't feel like deleting mine, since I figure i'll have to 'get it' eventually if i keep trying different stuff.

Agree with lower dif and larger spawns until you get the hang of it.

Your motto- warshades need tempo.

This is what I say when I play my all human WS.

More fore eclipse, mire, etc... I find if I play it like my kin trying to always keep double FS I somehow never die. If I play like a tank and try to chop em down 1 at a time it is painful. Tempo. Tempo.

Btw, Ty developers b/c with i19. I have perm eclipse, hasten, 30% def to all 3 positions.

Few people seem to like self rez powers, but Stygian Return is one I love. It gives you ten seconds of untouchable status. If you thought "But it needs enemies to work!" just now, shut up. You are The MFing Warshade. Go back and repeat your mantra some more times. You should always be drowning in enemies. If you aren't using this power every time it's up, you haven't found enough bodies yet.

Upping the number of enemies still doesnt solve situations like the last mission of the incarnate arc where I can't kill the minotaur EB, even after using all the nearby dead enemies to get two simultanious pets and all the buffs going, etc.

Plus -1x1 was just an example, I didn't say I always ran at that.

Still keeping an eye out in the hopes of posts relating to actual builds/slotting.

I already gave you one. AlienOne's guide has eleven example builds. They don't have inherent fitness, though, so you'll have to think a little bit. Move those slots to the inherent fitness, and pick three bonus powers to leave with the default slot. Maybe make them set mules. Maybe rework slotting elsewhere to add slots to your bonus powers.

I don't like AlienOne's builds, but considering I've seen him solo +4/x8 Arachnos, I have to say there's nothing wrong with them. That's part of warshades, though. There's no one way to build. My guide briefly talks about slotting, but it's from the point of view of a tri-form. I don't believe handing out builds helps anyone, which is why I don't include any. The way I build my warshade is the best warshade for me. The best one for you will be different.

The most common goal for any warshade, though, is recharge. Recharge is what leads to permanent Eclipse, as well as more damage. Most ATs build recharge as a way to be more offensive, but Warshades gain survivability as well, which makes it a universally beneficial goal.

That's all I got for you. There's information out there, I've shown you where to find it. I encourage you to make up a build based on the powers you like to use and post it. There are plenty of us who will offer guidance and help you optimize it from there. We can't help you if you won't help yourself.

What server is your WS on? Mine is on Freedom. Happy to run a couple mishes with you. May have more to do with playstyle than you think. I am certainly not the end-all expert but happy to try to help.

May want to re-read the first post, you know.. The one where I posted a build based on the powers I like to use, and asked for guidance and help to optimize it from there.

If I don't grasp the ins and outs of slotting well, I'm not going to sit here and pretend I do, when I can ask people who actually do know.

Overall it looked pretty good, but there were some wasted slots. I moved some things around and tried to add some recharge to your attacks. Gravitic Emanation is slotted for recharge and stun now, instead of damage. It doesn't really do any, so you're not doing much to enhance it.

I'm using one of the builds from Alien's thread, specifically the "cheap version of my current warshade". Works quite well even though it's only partly filled in.

I recommend learning on -1/x4 rather than x6, I found that worked best for me to have few enough that I could tell what I was supposed to do, but few enough that mistakes weren't insta-kill. Also, council newspaper/scanner missions are a good way to get practice with warshade tactics, at least it worked for me. Axis America would be better because of no warwolves, but haven't found them repeatable so easily. Maybe an AE arc...
