As to why claws is rare on stalkers:

Claws is best known for three powers. Follow up, which is a fast attack that provides a consistent DPS boost. Spin, which is one of the best PBAoE attacks in the game. And Eviscerate, a hugely damaging cone attack, even though it has a longer animation. Claws for a stalker has none of those. Technically, you get Eviscerate, but it's not an AoE.

That doesn't make claws for stalkers bad. You still get the better recharge/end use compared to other power sets, you sill get Focus, and you still get AoE from Shockwave. It's still a good set, it's just missing a few hallmarks that people typically pick the set for.

One neat thing you can do is split the Stalker ATIO set into two powers so you get that 5% S/L bonus twice. This will make you much less dependent on other sets for the S/L defense. Right now you even have 37% S/L defense. You might just want to keep pushing for 45%.

The trouble is going to be making up for the E/N defense, which isn't exactly necessary.

Here, I took a couple minutes to mess with it, and this is what I came up with. This gets you fly and hits the S/L softcap.

The thread title is a false dichotomy. It ignores at least the third option where +10 was never planned at all.

Anyway, I love this tray. I don't use it, but the tray is awesome for the new guys. Invaluable tool to make our beloved AT all that more popular.

Just put end reduction in your attacks while leveling up, use only the toggles you need and you won't have a problem. I've done it with a DA/Fire that never had conserve power even. You'll be fine.

Having Cloak of Fear will be a problem, especially since you haven't even slotted it. That power should have end reduction and more accuracy. Also, it would make sense to fit Touch of Fear if you're going to use the cloak.

I'm on my phone, so I can't offer much, but you should look up the DA/Fire build I have posted on my blog. It softcaps s/l/e/n on the cheap, so you might find a few ideas.

Also, what Stone said. Regen is a terrible idea as a main build goal.

It looks like you used the wrong Steadfast Protection. I'm betting you meant to put the +3% defense in Dark Embrace.

Dunno if you knew this, but you can get 10% s/l defense from the brute ATIO set. Just spilt it.

I'm going to suggest my Dark Armor guide, as well as taking a look at the two dark armor builds I have posted on my site. They should give you more than a few great ideas.

Something doesn't jive here.

Dark Armor has the same rez, just without the damage, as does my Warshade, just without the stun. I play to iDark Armor characters and my MFing Warshade. I notice the lag in level shift application, which is only a few seconds, but never longer than my untouchable period.

I guess all I can say is your experience is nothing like mine.

I don't play my PB because I wanted a human only, and it just didn't work well enough for me, even by level 43. Then I deleted him. Then they buffed the hell out of PBs. Then I cried. Haven't had the chance to go back.
