Claws/DA Stalker Build Critique
One neat thing you can do is split the Stalker ATIO set into two powers so you get that 5% S/L bonus twice. This will make you much less dependent on other sets for the S/L defense. Right now you even have 37% S/L defense. You might just want to keep pushing for 45%.
The trouble is going to be making up for the E/N defense, which isn't exactly necessary.
Here, I took a couple minutes to mess with it, and this is what I came up with. This gets you fly and hits the S/L softcap.

As to why claws is rare on stalkers:
Claws is best known for three powers. Follow up, which is a fast attack that provides a consistent DPS boost. Spin, which is one of the best PBAoE attacks in the game. And Eviscerate, a hugely damaging cone attack, even though it has a longer animation. Claws for a stalker has none of those. Technically, you get Eviscerate, but it's not an AoE.
That doesn't make claws for stalkers bad. You still get the better recharge/end use compared to other power sets, you sill get Focus, and you still get AoE from Shockwave. It's still a good set, it's just missing a few hallmarks that people typically pick the set for.

Yeah, the nice attacks are missing, but the speed and end costs on Claws is just so nice. The other sets seem a little clunky and slow by comparison. The only other melee set I've taken to is Spines and I already have a Scrapper running around with those, so trying to avoid redundancy.
And I like the tweaks. Didn't even think of splitting up Stalker's Guile, I'll admit, I'm not good at the Frankenslotting myself. Thanks.
Any suggestions on Incarnate powers? I was thinking Musculature Core simply for the damage boost, since End seems well under control. Interface is giving me a bit of a brain block though.
Spot on for alpha. Damage is what a stalker does.
Interface: reactive does the most damage, but everyone has that, so stacking is limited on teams. Degenerative is the next best.

So, I've been wracking my brain, trying to make this work. All the good Claw/DAs I've seen have been brutes, with Stalkers getting no love, and with the fixes I've been wanting to try the archetype out. I found one I thought I could convert easily, Dechs Kaison's Claw/DA Brute, here: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=284777
I've tried to work it as best as I could, but I'd really like some input on how it looks and any changes that any of you would make to it to keep things running smoothly. Wish it had fly, but I guess that's life.
