Da/dm

I've been wanting to run a DA/DM character for a long time now.

DA had always intrigued me...especially along side DM. The obvious concept is great...but the utility of each set is what peaks my interest.

However, my main concern has always been end consumption. I always try to build for "unlimited" endurance...as I know that the blue bar is just as much a part of my survival as my green bar.

I have a build posted below...and any opinions on it would be great.

However, my main line of questioning is how is the leveling up process for this type of character?

I can see that once I get Dark Consumption, Conserve Power, PP, and my Alpha slotted that end should not be an issue anymore...but what do you do before that to help with these problems?

I really hate to huff and puff (use rest all the time) and I would also hate to slow my attack chain for the sake of end.

There is the obvious inspiration usage...but I'm looking for insight beyond the obvious.

Thanks in advance.

Just put end reduction in your attacks while leveling up, use only the toggles you need and you won't have a problem. I've done it with a DA/Fire that never had conserve power even. You'll be fine.

Having Cloak of Fear will be a problem, especially since you haven't even slotted it. That power should have end reduction and more accuracy. Also, it would make sense to fit Touch of Fear if you're going to use the cloak.

Additionally, drop the Theft of Essence Proc into Dark Regen asap. When you can, grab the Miracle and the Numina Unique IOs. I also try and get the Atlas Medallion by the time I'm lvl 30.

Also, not a big fan of Focused Accuracy as I think it's not worth the endurance to run it for what you get in return.

Agreed about focused accuracy...

My Dark/Fire tank has no end issues and I run 11 toggles...no phys perfection either...I use soul PPP for Gloom...but I run OG instead of CoF.

My Katana/Dark brute has no end issues and he also runs 11 toggles...one of which is CoF. He has superior conditioning and phys perfection also though.

Both have TF Commander, FPR, AM, and PJ accolades.

I can't agree more with slotting the ToE proc into Dark regen early...I had a level 13-14 proc bought asap.

Leveling isn't bad, stick to your first few attacks when attacking and only use your heavy hitting attacks when you know you will get bang for your buck...i.e. hard targets or a full health LT or Boss. Slotting for end redux helps.

CoF should have decent slotting...I use 3 pieces from the Nightmare set, (to get the defense bonus too) and I use the Acc/End, Acc/Fear, Fear/End IO's...I have even been known to boost those to 50+5 from time to time as well...you can use more, but I am totally happy with that accuracy...even +4 minions will get hit with Fear more often than you think around 100% accuracy.

Also, I like to slot Death Shroud with the -res proc out of Fury of the Gladiator set, and 3 slot that set to get 3 KB prot as well...makes the stuff around you squishy and makes you less likely to get knocked around. Then I fill it with 3 pieces of Erads usually, or something else if I need the bonuses.

my current build for my tank, i run agility and ageless for endurance... leveling is kinda hard, you just have to know which shields to use and which ones you can turn off to save endurance
