I'm not sure what I've done wrong with my character. Survivability is decent, but I'm not sure how I should slot my attacks or what sets to put into them. I would post my build, but I'm playing on a Mac, and can't.
I'm not looking for someone to build my character for me, I'm just not sure where I went wrong in building mine.
Thanks in advance. BTW, I've searched for a build, and there isn't anything that is even recent with fitness being inherent. -
Looking to create a tank, and I've never used WP before. Just wondering how good it is as a whole. I'd like to be a team useful tank that can soak up damage and hold aggro. WP seems to fill this bill, but I'm open to other suggestions as well.

Right now I'm level 45 and have built my character to this point how I want, and will continue. I was just looking to see how other people have built theirs to compare. I would love to post my build, but I play on a Mac and Mids doesn't work with a mac.
Thank you for assuming that my question was because I was too lazy to build my own, or that I wanted to be spoon fed how to play my toon. I've been building my own since launch. Excuse me if I come looking for guidance from people, and thank you for being that stereotypical forum responder the only thing missing from your post was "L2P!" -
I was hoping that someone could give me some guidance on how to build an electric/Shield scrapper. I have an idea of how I want to go, but I always like to know how the people that know more than I build one. I'm looking for something to solo and team effectively.
Thanks in advance. -
Isn't that why a tank should run with a friend that does heal?
Thanks for the input, I appreciate it. -
Was just wondering, what are the weaknesses? Going to build my first shied tank so it would be nice to know where the holes are

I think you got an "honest critique" on your build and you shot it out of the water. Not sure exactly what you're looking for since you clearly like your current build.

So I fired up my kin/elec after nearly 4 years of it being put on hold. I'm currently lvl 38 and need to respec to take advantage of the changes to the fitness pool. Does anyone have a kin/elec build I can look at? I'm sure there have been a lot of changes to Kin since I last played it.

This is my first jump into the SoAs and I just made 24 last night. I've looked around the forums and most builds are for characters that are already lvl 50. I built both a crab and a bane last night and I not sure what I did wrong but my basic soldier build feels superior. I don't have a clear preference which type of SoA I want to play, both seem fun. I just need a character that doesn't feel so under powered.
Thanks in advance. -
So this is my first Spider and I made a crab with my 1st build and a bane with my 2nd. When I go to the tailor I can't seem to remove my backpack. Even when I click on back detail and select "none" I still have the crab leg backpack on. Is there a way to remove this or am I stuck with it from now on?

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong at this point but my end cost is HUGE. Could someone give me some advice on power choice and slotting for my character? I'm currently lvl 37 and I've never had this kind of problem before. Here is my build to this point. I haven't started to get any IOs or sets so all I'm usind are SOs, but if it will help me a lot I do have the cash. Any advice would be great.
Thanks

I'm going to jump back into being a tank after not being one for a few years, so needless to say I'm a bit rusty. My friend is running a fire/ice blaster so I figured I could take this opportunity and make a tank.
He will be doing most of the killing so I need a tank that can hold aggro and suck up damage. What I would like is a tank that CAN do some damage (I know its not the job of a tank but still) while still being a damage sponge for this duo or a larger team if/when we play in them. -
Thanks, but are things like leadership worth taking or are the bonuses not worth the end usage? Its things like that, that I'm really unsure about. I won't be doing a ton of big groups, I will always be playing with 1 MAYBE 2 others.

This is my first non-meele character in at least 3 years. I've really come to love scrappers, brutes and tanks but a friend and I have decided to switch places (he was always the "support" and I was the "tank" in our duo). After a lot of time looking through sets I really liked the debuffs that come with both dark and thermal, but also the shields and heals that comes with thermal really complements his scrapper.
My problem is, I'm having trouble knowing which powers are worth taking early, which powers can wait and/or be skipped all together. If someone could give me some guidance I would appreciate it. I looked at the guide section and it was helpful, but the fact that it is 2 years old concerned me, especially since the game has changed quite a bit, if for no other reason than I'm a corr running with a scrapper. -
I've searched the forums and I haven't found anything yet. I'm sure its a matter of me not searching for the correct phrase. Is there a guild or something that tells how new katanas are earned? I've seen pics of characters with different blades than the ones you can choose from in character creation.
Thanks for any help. -
My friend sent me something and I accidentally hit spam instead of claim and now he is on my ignore list. Is there a way to not only get him off the ignore list but to get back that email?
Thanks -
30 items to a rack is just plain silly IMO. I can appreciate and respect the devs not wanting hoarding and keep the market place active. But to cap those very large racks at 30 doesn't make a lot of sense, especially when you consider how much each character can hold. The racks should be able to hold as much as a character, plain and simple. Think of a book shelf, can you carry more books in your backpack or on a large book shelf?
As for the suggestions to use email, I think that has been covered. Sending salvage 1 character at a time just isn't realistic. Using other characters isn't really a good idea either.
The bottom line is, the Devs really need to do one of two things IMO. 1. Raise the cap on shelves to equal what a character can hold, or 2. raise the cap on how much storage we can have in our base. -

Quote:I don't disagree with this at all. My first character was an Ice/Ice blaster which was almost more controller than blaster. I learned quite a bit from it but was pretty frustrated with how squishy it was and how reliant on a team I was. My second character and perhaps favorite for a long time was my claws/regen scrapper, which is why I was kinda thinking a scrapper for him.The problem with going with a scrapper first, is people can get the opinion that the other ATs are to squishie or to low on damage or even both!
My suggestion would be to go for a Corruptor first.
To answer a question earlier about whether I'll be there to help him, the answer is yes. I'm going to be there playing along side him (with another friend so he'll have 2 of us helping him) most of the time. -
After playing for so long, I have to say that I don't think a controller would be an easy character to learn how to play the game with, solo or teaming. If someone has no idea how the game mechanics work I think they would understanding how the game assigns aggro, etc. Perhaps I'm wrong. <shrug>

My friend is starting the game for the first time and was asking me what I thought was the best character to start with. I was thinking that a katana/will scrapper would be a good starter. Am I off base here? Just looking for ideas and options. While I don't want it to be an overly difficult character for him to play, I don't want it to be too simplistic and end up boring him either.
Thanks in advance for any ideas. -
Quote:Thats the big question I suppose. Does spines on its own have enough offensive fire power to do a lot of damage or does it need the recharge boost of kin or rad. Or is dark (or electric armor depending on which he chooses) squishy enough to require that addition defense buffs? The best partner is also going to depend on what you want to optimize. If you want your scrapper friend to be unkillable, partner him with something that synergizes with his defenses. If you want to optimize his offense, partner him with a set that helps Spines gaps, which is what I did.

A controller blaster team does sound pretty interesting as well, and might be something we'll consider in the future.
As for this topic, it sounds like a defender is the way to go. I've considered Empathy but I would kinda like to try something else because we are currently running a duo with my elec/sd brute and his emp/ice defender. I'm not opposed to going emp, but I think I'd rather mix it up a bit and try something different.
