Could someone please post their Shield/Fire build, mine REALLY stinks!

I'm not sure what I've done wrong with my character. Survivability is decent, but I'm not sure how I should slot my attacks or what sets to put into them. I would post my build, but I'm playing on a Mac, and can't.

I'm not looking for someone to build my character for me, I'm just not sure where I went wrong in building mine.

Thanks in advance. BTW, I've searched for a build, and there isn't anything that is even recent with fitness being inherent.

Well, the top priority for a Shield tank is to make sure you're soft-capped to all positions. Next, IMO, is to get all your attacks adequately slotted. Picking the right sets will go a long way toward both goals. After that, some combination of regen, recovery and recharge bonuses are always good.

Here's a quick re-do of my soft-capped Shield/Electric build, modified for Shield/Fire. This is not a super-expensive build, but it can be adapted according to your goals and your pocketbook. For instance, if you have the influence and want more recharge, you could swap out all the GotA sets for LotGs with the +Recharge. Or you could drop the Multi-Strike and use more ToD and Scirocco's for melee and AoE defense. You also might want a epic pool instead of Medicine pool, but at least this will give you a place to start.

Here's my SD/Fire tanker as he is on live. Some room for improvement but it isn't terribly expensive (aside from the Membranes; those came from base storage). The basics of the build are really cheap; it's some of the "fleshing out" IO's that push the price up a bit.

I personaly dont like the idea of putting phalanx fighting off so far into biulds.
For a couple of reasons I grab it ASAP on shield ATs.

1. Its a Passive... No end drain, thats great!!
2. Its DEF bonus, the faster you get your DEF up, the better off you are. Once you IO out the biuld its great that you have Soft capped DEF, but what about your first 25 levels? 35 levels? Those levels when you started playing the characterthat being IOed out is just a dream.
3. Yes its DEF bonus per teammate, has a small radius. Its not that hard to gain at least 1 teammate bonus from it. And at times especialy vs AVs or Monster you can get 3+ teammates nearbye.

Otherwise I see some nice biulds here that won't break the bank.

Slotting your toggles + CJ + Weave + Steadfast 3% defense + a Gaussian's set should put you at the soft cap. That is the most efficient way to do it on a Shield Tanker, and it is pretty cheap. After getting those sets, it almost doesn't matter what you do with the rest of the slots. It is a good idea to get recharge bonuses for more damage and double-stacking Active Defense for DDR.
