What a clever bind! I'm definately implementing this.

I'd like to see something new in those zones to bring people in. The only trial zones I go to is firebase zulu and crey's folly.

Welcome! It'll be nice to have someone on the staff there who started as a player not a dev...you'll have more of a fresh look to bring to things!

You said you weren't doing anything with blizzard for now. I think this has been an issue for a long time and many ice blasters skip blizzard altogeather. I suppose my question is when will we see changes to it and what will it be?

I JUST did the respec with my lv39 blaster. Others were around the same level. Only 5 people: scrapper, 2 controllers, me, and another blaster. The scrapper died once and a controller died because her pets agrroed a group accidently. That was it. We finished it in like an hour. It's not hard at all. Work togeather and communicate. Don't just run in shooting, we had strategies and they worked well.

Issue 3 is in internal test already. QA reports suggest that it is already better than sucktastic. Your mileage may vary.

It'd be nice to charge a bit more per month for the COH+COV combo (like the $15+$5 mentioned above) but in practice, if you can only play one character (regardless of it being a hero or villlain) online at a time...but it'd be tough to justify. Our bandwidth or support costs wouldn't go up as long as it's still one player with both games enabled...though it'd be nice to financially support the extra content development needed to be increasing the content of both COH and COV. And we like money. The question is, would we not really just be incentivizing most players to turn off whatever game they were not playing for most of the month...which would be a) annoying to users and b) not make us more money - not exactly win-win.

However, the exact model is TBD - or, if it's decided, I haven't heard the final decision. Thoughts welcome.

Like he said though we would only be playing one character at a time, so since I would have paid $30 or whatever for the game in the first place I think that I shouldnt' pay more monthly. I can understand how it'll cost more for new content for both games, but on our end we don't have the money to shell out for two games a month. $15 a month is more than enough on my budget.

I really hope that this is a rumor, why would they anger, not just the forum people, but EVERYONE who wants cov too. I can see $15 if you don't play CoH already though. Since we've already played coh for so long $30 (I think?) for the software isn't bad, as long as we don't have to pay another fee. LR didn't say either way specifically though, he just said they are aware...well EQ is aware they rip people off too.

This sounds like a fun build. I can help AND harm people.

lol. Exactly, no one here seems to ever be happy. I'm just glad they are so involved with the community and give FREE updates.

I have never played an electric blaster but I've teamed with one and their end drain ability is worthless, by the time they even got someone half down (one boss in a room full of badguys) I had killed everyone else and was almost done with that one. I think the end drain should be significantly increased or just up their dmg output, whatever so they aren't nerfed from the start.

Personally I have no problem shelling out the extra cash to buy the expansion itself. I can eat ramen for a few weeks :P.
But if they are going to start charging a seperate fee as though it's TWO GAMES instead of an update as it clames to be I'll be very upset. Not that this would effect them much but I'd probably just quit all togeather rather than miss new content because they want $30 a month...or even $20 I couldn't do. I hope statesman or someone comes in and comments on this.

I'm sure that when CoV comes out it will have it's own set of maps where perhaps heroes have control of the city and the villians are trying to take over, so there could be small 'county' jails everywhere.

I read that a slider to adjust mission difficulty(most likely before you start it) is floating around as a possible solution at cryptic. Personally I'd like this. Sometimes I'd like to solo all orange or whip through an agrevation DE mission by making them green.

I think that issue 4 is going to reference Harry Potter. Just a hunch. :P
