  1. It's possible that you're just fighting a lot of +3 bosses that attack rapidly and hit like a train any time they hit. Without Alpha, you'd be fighting a bunch of +4 bosses that hit like a train and a fifth!
  2. Spamming reds, purples, oranges, and yellows for the last 10-15 seconds before the hospital door unlocks makes short work of all the NPCs there. I seriously recommend everyone do that every time they're sent to the hospital. (Grab a few break frees and respites while you're at it.) :P

This will quit being a problem, very soon.

(Also, base salvage was available to newbies, while Incarnate salvage requires you to have at least reached 50, which, unless you get a real nice bunch of farmer friends, means you'll probably have gotten at least somewhat used to the systems.)
  4. I think they're probably not irresistible. Even self-affecting powers can be resisted unless marked as unresistable, so it's irrelevant whether it grants the power to the foe or not (that was the reasoning I read elsewhere as to why it shouldn't be resisted).

Interface effects are not marked as unresistable. They are marked as "ignores buffs and enhancements."
  5. I wouldn't mind a few changes...

Show the number of players currently in the queue for each trial.

Change the timer to 3 or 5 minutes.

Allow people to do whatever they want while queued, but when the timer shows up, they have to go to a public zone before they can enter.
  6. Thanks!

"sperate"--is that really "separate" or is that a typo? :P I fumbled around with Google Translate for most of an hour trying to come up with a translation I could use in case you didn't get one to me, and it looked more like this:

    Code:

(I tried to express some things more clearly, such as the last phrase: you still have to use databases, but you're not limited to just one.)
  7. If you're desperate, Kinetic Crash also has knockback protection as a set bonus for slotting four of its enhancements. Fury of the Gladiator and Gladiator's Armor both have knockback protection for three enhancements, and it's not really worth mentioning Gladiator's Javelin since it requires five. :P
  8. *Poke.* "Next weekend" is over. Please don't forget when you do have time.

Also, if it hasn't been corrected, storm kick counts two critical chances when calculating its damage.
Some restrictions keep getting messed up, namely Assassination. We specifically fixed this several weeks ago (by hand. <.<), but apparently we un-fixed it, too.

    Thank You

The overrepresented minority should take measures to ensure that they represent the underrepresented majority while they're at it! :P (In other words, the people who post complaints are the minority, while it's not very likely that someone will post approval, simply due to the fact that if you posted for everything you approved of, you'd be posting a ton.)
  11. Great! Thanks, all of you. That ought to be all I need up until I20 is released. :P
  12. Thanks! You took care of the big chunks, but let me make sure the rest of the web page is correct, too:

"Simplified Incarnate Ability Crafting" = "Simplifié Aptitude Incarné Création"?

    "Current Version" = "Version Courante"

"Download now (requires Java): Download" = "Télécharger maintenant (nécessite Java): Télécharger"

Google Translate suggests that you referred to the help as "online" (en ligne), while it is not online, but on-screen (sur l'écran?). It shows up in the program itself, next to the things you have to click in order to use the program.
  13. Thanks again. OK, I think this is all of the help file that I would like prepared for the initial release. You shouldn't have to re-translate some of this text, such as menu names, since I already have those. :P And these ought to be the last large chunks of text I need translated.

    Quote:
    Adding/removing obtained items:

    * Left-click a component or ability in the tree to add one unit of it to your Obtained list.

    * Shift+click it to 'craft' it, removing one of each required component/ability that were in your Obtained list.

    * Right-click a component or ability in the tree to remove one unit of it from your Obtained list.

    * The "Edit" -> "Paste (Titan Sentinel)" menu item will overwrite the obtained list with data from Titan Sentinel 1.0 or newer. Do the following in Titan Sentinel in order to get that data: check the Incarnate items in the Inventory tab, then right-click in the list and select Copy.

Regarding the buttons at the top-right:

    * The magenta button refers to the list you are currently looking at; you can click the black one to switch to that list.

    * Click the 'Remaining' button at the top-right to see the items you need to obtain in order to craft the ability you selected.

    * Click the 'Obtained' button to see the items you've selected as already obtained.

Regarding the three ability buttons at the bottom:

    * Click on one and then click on an ability in the tree to set the selection for that button. Click on the button a second time instead of clicking on an ability if you decide you don't want to change the ability after all.

    * Shift+click on one to clear the selection.

    * The top button is the ability you're trying to earn, and the bottom two are abilities you'd like to have along the way. These are optional.

    Regarding the options:

    * "Always craft notices" will assume that you intend to earn each Notice of the Well the hard way. The Items Remaining list will include the crafting requirements rather than treating the component as a basic unit.

    * "Always save to file" will save changes to the currently loaded database file any time a character is modified, rather than holding it in memory until you tell the program to save the database.

    * "No breakdowns" will prevent spare components from being treated as shards/threads. Additionally, breakdowns will not be shown in the Remaining list.
And the web page needs translated: (This URL isn't permanent, incidentally.)

I attempted to use Google Translate (with a lot of tweaking and rephrasing) to translate the parts of the page that were most likely to be missed:

Title: Titan Waterworks - Vereinfachte Herstellung von Inkarnier Fähigkeiten
    Current Version: Aktuelle Version
    Download now: Jetzt herunterladen
    Requires Java: Benötigt Java
    Download (the link): Download
  15. Thanks. Yeah, I mostly come up with features while I'm using the program for tracking my own characters, so then I implement them. :P "Always Save to File" means that, rather than saving the character data into a database in memory and having to save that database to a file separately, the character is saved directly to a file instead.
  16. I thought of a couple more features that ought to be added, so I have a few more things for you to translate.

    Breakdown:
    Always Save to File
    Edit
    Paste
Incarnate Shard (the exact in-game name; capitalization matters)
Incarnate Thread (but I'm aware you don't have the in-game name for this one yet)
No Breakdowns (this refers to not counting unused components as shards)

    Hey there :)

Allow me to shed what little bit of light I am able to shed on the subject of CoH's population.

Version 1.9 of Mids' Hero and Villain Designer, which is the build designer used the most by CoH players, was downloaded 12,475 times. One can assume this is a mere fraction of the total player base.
  19. Wow, yeah, they were really inconsistent with Spiritual! Thanks so much for the help.
  20. A bunch of the forumgoers already expressed their experiences with random acts of kindness: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=249594
  21. This is fixed in the dev build already, and you should be able to edit it in the database.

  22. Great, thanks! That just leaves your credit and the help file, which I haven't finalized yet.
  23. I may have added more to that post while you were typing the reply.
  24. I have a few more phrases I would like translated due to the GUI being a bit difficult at first, and I think the disclaimer is final:
    shift+click to deselect
    Click an Ability
Click to add to obtained list
Right-click to subtract from obtained list
    Shift+click to craft
