Quote:Most powerul hero is currenly psy/em blaster.
The only server with any PvP at all these days is Freedom
Debatable whether psy/em is the most powerful. Freedom certainly has the most pvp and by a lot, but I wouldn't say it's the ONLY one. I've been organizing pvp every night on champion and we reliably have 8v8s every night. -
Pretty sure you can still only buy IOs from the side you start on, due to technical problems. So a stalker will still need to go redside to hit up the market.
-
It's slow but it can be done. With all the control DM has, you are able to kill things slowly. Obviously not going to be as strong as a Headsplitter critical with fiery embrace and build up but a few shadow mauls and midnight grasps and they'll be hurtin'.
-
This toon is my child and the only toon that I don't want everyone to have the build for but I'll drop a hint. *Whispers* PvP IOs and HOs

Building for regen is fairly pointless on a MM blaster. Whatever regen you get will be completely dwarfed by Drain Psyche. You would end up with better regen by building for recharge just to get Drain Psyche up more. Build for regen if you want, but I promise you it will not be as survivable as a defense build

Elec/Shield Scrapper and Kinetics/archery defender. With speed boost and fulcrum shift the scrapper should be able to LR + SC every mob in pretty much one shot. Then, the defender has RoA to mop any reaining baddies.

Not too much. SS wont help me utilize my vastly superior ramnge, which is the only reason to make a PB over a blaster. One other question. What do you think would make a good partner for a 2v2? I was thinking an elec/SS (or wp/em or whatever) tauntbot would be good since PBs are a tad squishy (in nova form), and the taunt would have a range debuff, further allowing me to utilize my long range.
-
So I got my PB to be fairly strong, heals recharge nicely, and nova blasts have a 200 ft range. The only problem I've had so far is people using web nades. Is there anything to combat this? I started hopping into dwarf and teleporting away but that is a bit annoying. Any suggestions?

If you have an extra toon to move around, might want to try this on Champion server. We've been running this almost every night for a few weeks, and hope for the trend to continue. Best of luck to you getting KB started on this server as well! Let me know if you'd like any tips and whatnot on the best ways to run this.

I slot it with 4 kinetic combats (because my secondary is invuln) and two touch of nictus, with an emphasis on accuracy because kin combat is light on the accuracy.
-
Not positive but I seem to remember Umbral saying that Dull Pain and the accolades caps HP. Even if it didnt though, I'd rather have 3.13% fire/cold defense than an extra 20 HP.
-
If he is going for recharge then he already has Dull Pain which will cap his HP. The high defense bonuses in Aegis I believe would be more beneficial than an extra 20 HP. (For a regen at least)

Had a big night, 5 rounds with about 14 people each time, was lots of fun though a couple of the matches were a bit stacked on one side. I had my highest kill total yet with 8
Thanks to everyone who came out, cya tomorrow.
(Note to self: Empaths are annoying) -
I slotted with four kinetic combats (Because mine is an invuln) and two touch of nictus. If you do that make sure you slot the acc/heal IO from nictus because kin combat is so light on accuracy

Honestly on a WP I think your best choice would be the Pyre or body mastery pool. Take body for some nice self-buffs or take Pyre if you want added damage. Oh yeah, also take fighting if you just don't want to die.
Any of them would work, pretty much a personal preference. Did you not consider dark/pyre in your original post because you forgot about them, or because they don't fit the concept? -
Yeah scrappers don't tend to talk much. Probably why they have 7,000 more total posts than the 2nd highest (Tankers) and double the number of posts as most of the ATs

Heh, thanks, forgot about that. Sounds like this would work for everyone then. Also, if anyone would like to help with the KB let me know since I know that there will be nights I can't make it. (Damn you English essay!)

IMO the scrapper would be better. Brutes' main advantage over scrappers is the ability to get full fury. However, on an elec/shield you arent really going to be chaining attacks together so the fury won't really make much of a difference. Basically, scrappers have the better burst dmg while brutes have better sustained dmg. And since an elec/shield build is all about burst dmg, the scrapper wins. (In my opinion)

What do you guys think of trading off every night? Like 11 PM on tuesday and thursday and 8 PM on monday wednesday and friday? Weekends could kind of be like wild-cards based on any events currently happening and whatnot
